View 7 Replies View RelatedI’ve been using PAINT.NET, for a long time now.Today, I’ve created an account in the Forum, because I would like to ask, if possible and desirable for the Developers and the program Users, the following:
- make the default Tool - Rectangle Select;
- make the default save file type - JPEG (*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.jpe;*.jfif);
- allow the users to change the default workspace background color (now, Hex: #C9D3E2);
I have read the Rules and the FAQ.To finish I just would like to congratulate all of you, that have given us this fantastic piece of software (and for free)!
I believe it’s the best freeware software available, counting all types for software/utilities/add-ons, etc.
Is it possible to set 'Save as type' to JPEG as default value?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIve recently upgraded to the new GIMP 2.8 and I cant seem to save files as anything other than gimp project files. I open the extension box to select the file type and there just isnt the option anymore. Do i have to reinstall GIMP or should I revert back to 2.6? I wouldnt think they would get rid of the ability to save in different formats so there must be a problem somewhere.

What I am looking for is to hit save and it to have pre selected a particular folder / to have remembered the last folder I saved in, and without need to interact with dialog boxes have it save in my chosen format at the quality I want. (i will never need to re-edit).

My Type Tool does not select type by double clicking or click and drag. (Windows CS 5 V15.1). This is what I have tried so far and the problem still exists.
Check preferences for "Text": "Select text-object by path only" should be off. Checked. It was off. Didn't fix it.
Check the toggle for Show/Hide Edges in the View menu. Cmd(Ctrl)-H. Checked. Edges Showing. Didn't fix it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed the PSD Plugin for opening Photoshop files in Paint.NET
But still Paint.NET won't recognize the PSD file type
I simply still do not get the option to open this kind of file!
I have tried to force the files to open with "Open with" but Paint.NET answers with a prompt: "The image type can not be recognized".
I running Paint.NET on Windows 7.
However for business use I have a need to efficiently send .jpg files to various people and I often forget to change the file type so I have to reload the file, re-save the file, etc. and strangely, I can't seem to find the preferences menu to change this option. Where the default save-as file type can be changed to .jpg?

I was wondering if the is a way to go from a Inventor file type to a Solidworks file type. One of our customers is asking for one or the other following file types: .asm or .prt.
They also mentioned something about "shrink wrapping" the file to all the surfaces.
Wondering if theres a plugin/feature for asto highlighting (sort of a preselect object) as in photoshop.
I have kinda got used to this in PS but am hoping theres a PDN equivalent?
is there a way to change the default to say .png or anything other than .psd?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using PS 12.0 for a year without incident. Recently I installed Superstition beta and started experiencing crashes both in 13beta and 12. I can consistently reproduce a crash in CS5, Win7 SP1, x64, by opening an existing PSD and then switching to the Type tool. The crash occurs before I even get to see the type tool. I've replaced the prefs a million times using the CTRL+ALT+SHIFT on launch technique.
I have not change type management (not using any font managers at this time). My nVidia drivers are up-to-date (dual 9800m GTX), my RAM is good.
I wonder why I was not able to select the material type. I may have accidentally toggle off/on some selection.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know I've been able to do it before, but now when I put the selection arrow (black arrow) into a line of type by double clicking, I am unable to then drag the cursor to select the row of type. Triple clicking does nothing.
In other words, double clicking with the selection tool places the cursor in a word, but how to then highlight the word??
In Preferences, it doesn't matter if the 'Double Click to Isolate' box is checked or not and the 'Object Selection by Path Only' is unchecked.
I know it's something simple.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?
I got CS6 Design Standard and the default type tool is "Right-To-Left Type Tool". I don't see the way how to change it. I managed to change the default type face and language for new documents but the type tool is switching back to RTL no matter what. How to change this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am working on a commercial development with multiple large tenants with multiple standards. To begin to verify the preliminary grading is in compliance, I use the slope arrow surface analysis type.
Due to my multiple standards, I find myself changing these values frequently. My question : Is there a way to make the slope arrow the default analysis type when you are in the surface properties dialog box?
I know it is not a major issue, but it is annoying and repetitive, having to go to the list box, and select slope arrow over and over again. One workaround I have considered to avoid this maddening situation is to make two surfaces, with each criteria assigned to the surface properties and simply paste the main surface into each. Then control which is visible based on what I need to look at.
