(using PSP-X3 ) I cannot find anyway to set the default of FIT TO WINDOW when opening a file.
All files seem to come in very large and I then have to do a "Window > Fit To Window" to get it right.
Where in this program ( 4x) do i check to not use PSP as my default program? I use another editing program and PSP is opening up my 'bridge' pictures? i need to use the programs as individuals..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have changed all the settings on my computer and in PSP X5 to make it the default program that opens any picture/graphic file except files with the psp and pspimage extension because they aren't even an option. When I try to do it, it reverts back to X4. When I try to make the changes within the program itself, those 2 file extensions aren't even in the list!

In older versions, I could have a lot of pictures on my screen and switch between them.
Is this a "bug" in X4, or is there a way to put this feature back like X2.

My hard drive was failing and had to be replaced. Fortunately I was able to retrieve most of my images and documents. However, that got complicated. Burning CD's and DVD's wasn't working so I had to transfer files to a flash drive, then to my laptop from the PC, and only then could I burn the stuff to a DVD.
So .. now a new hard drive .. programs and images are re-installed. In only one folder of images am I finding this problem ... When trying to open a file (cartoon-type image, smalll file size of 2 MB or less) I get the message "Not a valid Paint Shop Pro X2 Image file". When double-checking by right clicking and then clicking on "properties" it most certainly IS a PSP X2 image file. In this folder of 192 files I can only open a couple dozen.
Whenever I try to open jpeg files larger than 2MB PSP 4 crashes.
The files open fine in PSP 3
I can not figure out how to maintain the original file size of my photos when I open them in Paintshop For example, the original file might be 3.78 MB but once it opens in Paintshop it is only 706 KB. Do I need to change settings somewhere?

I've gone nuttier this time. I just installed Illustrator CS6 onto my MacBook Pro OS 10.8.2. I want to set up a default opening page but this time, it's not a clear path to do so. How do I set up an opening page with a new font, rulers, empty fill etc. as the default page without having to search for a template each time I open a new page? Where does the default page to go now? etc.

CorelDraw X5 v. 15.2.0.686 Hot Fix 4 - Windows 7-64
Having difficulty setting the CROP tool outlines. It seems to snap to the CENTER of pixels? and the edges are difficult to grab, especially when zoomed way in to the corners/pixel level. Also dragging the outline edges seems sluggish and I don't see four numerical readouts in the CORP tool palett like earlier Jasc versions.
p.s. I almost always crop to the hearest 5 pixels, i.e. 675x495.
I am running XP and cannot set CS4 to be the default file to open my images. When I right click a file, select "open with", and choose CS4, nothing happens. I did not find this problem with CS3 or CS2, both of which I have uninstalled.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I use Adjust --> Color Balance and use the temperature slider the cool <---> warm seems to work as expected (i.e. my image becomes more blue to the left, more red to the right).
When I click the Advanced Options box, the slider labels are the same, but the behavior swaps: so the Cool label is still on the left, BUT when side the handle to the left, my image becomes more RED, & if I slide to the right (labeled warm) my image becomes more blue.
I recently purchased this computer. It works great. Want to take it on our RV trips. problem is I installed my Paintshop X3. Went in w/o a hitch. Now if I clickon a desktop icon ,which replaces a stock folder,The X3 will open up. Also if I open any of my picture folders it will do the same thing. I do not have this problem on my 32 bit desktop. One other point. I uninstalled (Complete), reinstalled>> Then uninstalled , and installed the X2 Same results . I have looked at all of the preferance settings, sure there must be one to solve this problem

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had PSP X5 since shortly after it came out. I rarely use it because it is very confusing after working in v9 for many years. I have finally decide I just need to jump in with both feet & do this. I have 2 questions.
My first is why is X5 so slow in opening up. I have never had any version of PSP to be so slow opening. The second is I make new customized tool bars that work for me & save the workspace, however when I open it up the new tool bars are there but not in the position I saved the.
A fellow co-worker accidentally checked the box that says "don't open this file" (or something like that) that appears when a language file is missing upon opening a file from a client. He then also "accidentally" clicked the "perform this action every time" so as the warning window wouldn't appear any more. As a consequence there are now files that we cannot open on that computer. I've searched through system variable lists and come up empty handed.....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to W7 and a new computer and now find that when I drag in directly from a folder or open from within X4 the images that are saved as PSD file (originally created in Photo Shop by a friend for me), opens all layers individually rather than one image with all the layers contained to edit. Before the update to W7 I had Vista and the image went in to X4 as expected, contained as one image with editable layers.

In the X4 version there is nowhere to select non default color. There should be as not everyone wants to be forced into having it the default"graphite or whatever"color.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using W 7 and PSP X3.My printer crashed and I have replaced it with a new one.It is an HP 8600.I have it connected to my laptop using a wireless connection which is the way my previous printer was connected.I have prepped 2 photos that the Mrs wants a 5 x 7 copy of each.I then click on File > Print Layout and get an error message saying There is no default printer installed.
The printer is known to the computer as I have printed from MS Word and I have scanned from the scanner to the computer.How do I get PSP to know the printer?

There is a process bar which moves very slowly, and a Cancel button.
If i hit Cancel the dialog box goes away and my file loads right away in what ever program I'm using.
My request is: How do i get this stupid box to pop up all the time, when i'm not even wanting to use PSPX3?
How the tools all have the option to reset to default. I was doing something earlier that required the selection tool and I saw that it had been changed, so I clicked to reset and nothing happened. All my other tools reset just fine.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am new to the PrintShop ProX4 family. I just purchased my first PSPX4 software, even though I have been using AfterShot for quite sometime. My question is, how do I prevent PSPX4 from being my default program for viewing images and or pictures attached to my emails.
Prior to purchasing and installing PrintShop ProX4, all my pictures attached to my emails would open up under my Windows photo gallery. But now, they open up under my PrintShop Pro X4 program and since I am still learning the PSPX4, I would like to convert back to the Windows photo gallery.
