I have installed the PSD Plugin for opening Photoshop files in Paint.NET
But still Paint.NET won't recognize the PSD file type
I simply still do not get the option to open this kind of file!
I have tried to force the files to open with "Open with" but Paint.NET answers with a prompt: "The image type can not be recognized".
I running Paint.NET on Windows 7.
When i try to import a mp4 into a webpage i just get a message "That File is not Recongised by any of the installed Filters". I have converted mp4 with "FormatFactory 2.70" to AVC(H264) But still no good. I'm Using (Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 7.1.1.1.17261 DL Jun 7 2011.

When I try to open an Nikon camera raw file (.NEF), I get the error message, "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." Prior to a hard drive crash, I opened .NEF files using CS3 on my G4 frequently with no problems. I have reinstalled the software twice and tried importing the files from the camera using Bridge all with the same result.

When I restarted PDN (several times) and I just can't seem to find where the plugin is. I have been through the Effects and submenus with a fine tooth comb each time but it's not there....

I am currently texturing for a game called Morrowind, for my own personal use, but i noticed some of the texture which i need to acess are saved in a file called .DDS and I saw one plugin for it but I couldnt figure out how to install it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had IT install our network version of IV 2012. That seemed to install flawlessly. I still have IV 2011 on my machine IV 2011 and will be running it for the time being.
My problem is when I try to get the iProperties I get this error. "Plugin not available or not properly installed. Notify the System Administrator that the installation is incomplete. DTCP"
We tried to repair/reinstall 2011 and then removed it and reinstalled, to no avail. I have not tried 2012 yet, as all our files need to be migrated to 2012.
Any chance that Paint.NET could learn my preferred "save as" file type (it seems to insist on .png) - or even better provide the means to select a default file type?

- make the default Tool - Rectangle Select;
- make the default save file type - JPEG (*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.jpe;*.jfif);
- allow the users to change the default workspace background color (now, Hex: #C9D3E2);

I downloaded a copy of Photoshop CS5.1 to try with my Sony NEX-5N. When I try to open a RAW file, I get a message that the camera type isn't supported. The Adobe website indicates that the Sony NEX-5N is supported. How do I get the trial version of Photoshop to recognize the RAW files from the Sony NEX-5N?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust installed the trial version of Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3. Now I try to open old files made around 1999-2001 with Corel Photo Paint (from Office 7 Professional). None of the files are recognized. Funny thing is, WordPerfect X3 does recognize those files, and is able to import them in a document. But what do I have to do to be able to work with those files again in Corel Paintshop?? Or in any other photo-editing program for that matter?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my trial version of ProX5, when I went to use the DVD label burn feature, I complete the label, when it asks me to save it I do with a file name but my new text and image aren't saved when I look at it again within the project and after I save the DVD label it shows as a .UPL file that Windows 7 does not recognize.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMost of the designs require some unique font to get the desired effect. Most likely, we'd search the web for one, download it, use it and discard it. We don't wanna keep all these single-use fonts installed. It would be great if we can load a font in to PDN by just browsing for it using a file dialog. I think Photoshop lets you drag and drop a font to its main window and till let you use it for that session. When you exit the application, the font is unloaded.
Can this be supported? Of course, there is a workaround: Use a font manager app. But, I think it's a pretty good feature to have in a image editor never the less

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using W 7 and PSP X3.My printer crashed and I have replaced it with a new one.It is an HP 8600.I have it connected to my laptop using a wireless connection which is the way my previous printer was connected.I have prepped 2 photos that the Mrs wants a 5 x 7 copy of each.I then click on File > Print Layout and get an error message saying There is no default printer installed.
The printer is known to the computer as I have printed from MS Word and I have scanned from the scanner to the computer.How do I get PSP to know the printer?

View 4 Replies View RelatedA month ago I successfully installed 3 ICC profiles from a paper manufacturer and got them recognised by PSP X5. I now have 4 more profiles and have installed them but they are not recognised completely by PSP. If I open the Color Management box and click Basic Color Management, with Rending Intent 'Pictures', the printer profiles list in the dropdown shows only the three original profiles (plus a lot supplied by Canon for the MG650 printer concerned). If I select Proofing, the Emulated device profile dropdown list shows all 7 profiles (plus the Canon ones), so PSP is clearly to some extent aware of the new profiles.
I cannot remember exactly how I achieved the inclusion of my original three in the list, but I do have the printer concerned as the default primary printer, so cannot see that this is a problem. The profiles are recognised in the other software that I use, so they are definitely correctly installed.
Is there a finite number of plugins that can be installed with PSPX4?
