AutoCAD Inventor :: Keyboard Input Doesn't Display What Is Typed?
Apr 17, 2012I am currently running Inventor 2009 64-bit SP2 and periodically (and only recently), I have had the problem of my keyboard keys not displaying what I am typing. This is only affecting Inventor and no other program to my knowledge. To make matters worse, it happens absolutely randomly. In fact, it happened just 4 minutes ago, which prompted this post! I was typing some words out and in the middle of the word, it changed what the inputted keys were. To give an example, the letter P comes in as L. The letter S, comes in as the letter G. The letter M comes in as semicolon. Catch my drift? At first I thought it changed to a Dvorak key setting, but even if that were the case (which it is not), why would it do it randomly?

As you know arabic is typed from right to left, but in photoshop they are typed from left to right.
Everything is fine when typing on another program like notepad or MS word, but in photoshop letters are reversed,
Windows -> Character: I chose Adobe Arabic
Windows -> Paragraph is set to right align text and justification is set to arabic, eventhough arabic letter are typed backward and are not connected.

AutoCad 2D :: Reuse Of Typed-in Numerical Input?
Jul 11, 2011Often we have to re-type the same number (value) in the command line. Not the point coordinate triplet, but a single number as input, for example in Move Copy command.
I always wonder if there is a trick in AutoCAD to recall the previously typed-in number quickly and easily (apart from Ctrl+C Ctrl+V method).
Microstation does it very conveniently by pressing up and down arrows in Accu-draw dialog, and even places a graphical mark on the screen when cusor moves over the previously entered value.

Aug 6, 2011When I am using my PSPx3 to enter text on an photo, after I get Colors, Pixels etc. selected, when I click on the subject to start typing - Up comes the last line of text I had used on a previous project. If I delete that text and start fresh, when i click to select the spot to start typing, up comes the "fresh text". This happens as many and every time I click to type.

Illustrator :: Foreign Fonts Display In Character Drop Down Menu
Feb 28, 2014When designing a sign for a customer, I take a photo of the existing signs, place on a new document in illustrator cs6, type text then scroll through the text character drop down menu to match the new sign text to the font that is currently on the customers signs, business card etc.
There are many different types of fonts and I would prefer not to have the adobe system fonts, asian, arabic and other fonts that are not used for my purposes.
Is there a way to remove them from this list.
I have tried deleteing them from the window 7 font manager but they are essential system fonts and it displays a message that some programes will not work if I delete them.
I have tried show/hide in the windows 7 font manager but this has no effect on the fonts displayed in illustrator.
AutoCAD LT :: Typed UCS In Command Line - Crashes On Hitting Enter Key
Jan 25, 2013autocad lt 2010 crashes when I hit the enter key.
example: typed UCS in command line then hit enter key and crashes.
I installed update 1 & 2. still crashes.
restarted computer,still crashes.
Any thoughts besides unistalling and reinstalling?

When the leader runs left, the typed copy runs to the left like it should until a left click or Enter is clicked. The Click sends the leader line to the left thru the typed copy and a bit below center. Sometimes the copy is above the line. Justification will change this until Enter is clicked or a left click is clicked and the copy returns to the line thru it layout.

Mar 29, 2013I'm not sure if it's just me but is Photoshop supposed to have so much space between the characters in text? I've added a screen snippet of what I'm seeing on my computer with it's current settings. I'm not sure if I have something set wrong or not. This is a minor thing but it annoys the heck out of me knowing I don't have complete control over the spacing of characters.

Feb 12, 2008I've got an action that takes a file and spits it out to gif and jpeg, but when it does so it clips the filename of the original psd if its over like 29 or 30 characters (for example: "31character_long_filename_blahblah.psd" becomes something like "31character_long_filename_bl.jpg" after export).
One blog I read said disable the Mac OS 9 option in the flyout menu of the Save for Web Output Settings Dialog box, but it was already unchecked/disabled (though Unix is checked). Does anyone know if there's some way to get Photoshop to allow more than ~30 characters for a jpeg or gif filename?
This problem occurs in Windows, Photoshop CS2, on a standard office Dell. I'm pretty positive it's not a Windows problem because the original psds that have long file names are not being clipped. Only exported jpegs and gifs are being clipped.

May 1, 2008When using any shortcut with A-Z only or spacebar, they work. When using extended characters such as [ and ] for brush size...doesn't work. Arrow keys for nudging doesn't work. Ctrl+C works, but Ctrl click on a layer doesn't make a selection, but Ctrl click on a channel does. This is a copy of Photoshop just installed at work. They ONLY buy legit copies.
When I remap the [ it shows up as Û. And ] shows up as Ý. Language is set to US English. Keyboard is set to US English. Using CS2 on XP.

Jul 9, 2013Have Adobe changed the way tracking values are interpreted in Photoshop CC?
Just that if I select a line of text like normal and then set the tracking to eg. -50 when the change of tracking is made to the text this -50 value then turns into -11! which I don't understand!
It doesnt matter what i change it to the value then automatically changes to a weird number value, if I try tracking of -25, it changes to -5! What is going on here, is there a setting I need to check or change?

Sep 17, 2012Is it possible to rearrange character or paragraph styles in Photoshop CS6? I've tried everything I could think of (Control, Command, Shift click etc.) to no avail. Rather frustrated as it's annoying having a messy styles palette but clean layers.
If this isn't an option why not implement it to function the same as the Layers Palette?
Photoshop :: Character Palette After Latest CS6 Update
Jun 6, 2013Since the latest update earlier this week, I've experienced major issues with the character palette - particularly the point size and tracking. The tracking issue is by far the greater of these two evils and the following explains the issues I've observed:
tracking - the number you type isn't the number used to set the tracking. The slider and up/down arrows do not remedy this problem, though they make it slightly more predictable. The number that appears seems random, though I've noticed a pattern in some instances (typing 20 sets tracking 18, typing 40 sets it 36, typing 60 sets it 54, and so on). This issue also appears to be connected to free transforming a text layer, so the pattern is possibly based on the percentage of scaling.
font size - the number you type works if size is increased in small increments to a certain point. Then it max's out, and this error appears repeatedly (after ok is clicked the error pops back up)
I've searched the web for resolutions to the issue and haven't found anything. This is what I've tried and none of it worked to any lasting degree:
- set units to pixels in preferences and restart photoshop
- set units back to points in preferences and restart photoshop
- restart photoshop and pc (several times)
- shut down photoshop and pc (several times)
- unplug pc and discharge static
