I cannot remember, if I can save a shape layer as a background preset? I have a my preset folder. I created to save multi effects as a preset. I want to save a shape layer with a gradient on it, as a background layer. Albeit a simple 'to create' I want to know how and if I can save it as a preset. To import as I see fit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like part of a preset Title effect, but don't want all of the animation sequence to play.
The full animation of the preset Title effect is: Letters of text flies in from all different directions to form a static word and then letters fly off.
I would like to only have the letters of the text flying in and just remain on the screen. I've looked at customizing the filter (Zoom Motion) and altered / deleted key frames but cannot stop the text flying out. Is this possible, or is this too deep an operation for the program to handle?

I am trying to figure out how I would use a pattern that is a preset, which I downloaded off the internet (I'm free to use), as a repeated background in my CSS. I know all I have to do is get the image of the original square of the pattern - I just don't know how to locate that image.

Everytime I save a photo I have to go through a laborious proceedure of opening a dozen folders before I get to the one I want. Does Photoshop CS have this feature somewhere?

I know I can choose the 4:3 aspect each time and then sync but that's 3 or 4 clicks and whereas if I can add it to an existing preset, it's no extra clicks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently working on the schematics of a quite big document and I am using Illustrator. I work on the .ai version of the figures but I want to save them in a very quick way as pdf files with personal setting (super compression, no preview...). What I am doing now is that I have my .ai file open, and when I want to save a pdf version of it I go to "File" then "Save a copy" then "Type: pdf" and I enter a name, I click on "Save" and a window pops up with some options. Here, I select a personal preset and then click on "Save pdf" and I am happy with the final saved pdf.
The thing is that it is a quite long process when you have to do it several times per figure. I tried to automatized it through a script (or action) but the available options are quite limited (it is hard to make Illustrator understand that if the current file is myfig.ai, I want a myfig.pdf and that I want to save it in the working folder). Under "File", I also tried the "SaveDocsAsPdf" script but once again, I have to select the folder where I want to save the figure and so on. Maybe I missed something. Any efficient way to save my figures as pdf by clicking a the F9 key (for instance).
Is there a way I can save a custom crop preset to apply to images on import on Lr3.5?

This works perfectly for quickly assessing brightness and contrast of pictures.
In pse 10 however I could not find any button to change the preset lightgrey background colour to darkgrey.
I have created a moving background and I am rendering it in PHOTO JPEG format but when I convert it to .GIF to post it on my website, it takes away all the high quality. It is a moving background, what is the best format to render it in to post it as the website's background?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed After Effects pretty much without changing anything, so the settings are more or less default. I'm using a Macbook Pro with OS 10.6.8 and After Effects CS6
I have enabled media and disk cache, max disc cache is at 100GB and I have an external drive (with 900GB spare) as the volume selected beneath that option. My internal SSD has not much spare on it. I previously had the internal SSD as the disc cache and still had this same problem.
My project is 1920 x 1080 25fps - And I'm trying to render to Quicktime. I've tried rendering to stills and then outputting to Quicktime (so as to have less computational effort), then running them through but the same problem persists.
If After Effects is the application in focus the project renders fine.
If After Effects is not the application in focus - ie. I work with it rendering in the background, the 'FINISHED' sound plays and the render is cut short a short while after I started working in another program.
The project render time is about an hour, so it's not really convenient.
I would like to change the background color for the rotobrush image to green. How do I do that?

When I try and save it and open it to the file, it doesn't show. It's like it's missing. Everything else is shown, but the fading text is not shown.

I'm trying to export an animation created in photohop, its frame by frame, no background. I've been exporting it as an image sequence, now I"ve coloured it I need to solve this transparency issue.Is there a way to export it to use in after effects on top of a background layer.
So I just want to see the character, no background, animation on top of my background layer in after effects.
i'd like to change the color of the water to bluish-looking ones, but after i tried using overlay.. it doesn't look natural at all, and does not match with the environment as well. any idea how to go about making this picture look better?
for this pic, the original was actually a very greyish and monotonous sky, but i added abit of "sunset" to it. another thing i'd like to change is to remove the building and the trees behind us. i'd like to fill it with the "sky".. but i tried using clone stamp / fill gradient / patch tool and it all looks fake.
another thing is i'm using samsung 2032MW, and have tried "Easy Monitor Calibration", but it was really difficult to get the right one. i ended up with a blue overcast on my monitor instead. any other software i can try to get color accuracy?
I have three different solid object and all those three have different masks and stroke effects in them.
The problem is, the one at the top always reign and doesnt let other stroke effects on masks to appear. I reckon the problem is the background of the solid object. If this is the problem, how can I change the transparency of the background. If not, what might the problem be ?
I have a hot o someone speaking lines that wasn't shot on a tripod, in front of a green screen. The background is a still picture. I'm trying to get the background to shift whenever the actor does so h matches his environment. The tracker seems to be having trouble because other than the subject, there is nothing in the shot for the trackers to reference. It seems to be tracking him fine but when I apply the tracking data to the background, it flies around wildly when the subject moves his head. I've tried using the older tracker, just using position and scale, and I've tried using the 3D tracker. I feel like this should be fairly simple. Any other information needed I will gladly supply.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen launching a render, the message "background processes initializing / this may take a while" gets stuck more than 70s in CS6, whatever the project, whereas it was never on more than 10s in CS5. We're back to the CS4 delays here.
On a side note, the multiprocessing is a bit weird:
Before it was pretty straightforward : When 10 cores were used for the render, the frames were rendered by batches of 10. With CS6 it's different : A first batch of 3 frames get rendered, then another one of 14 (!!), then I lost track of the process. Is multiprocessing so different in CS6 ?

I have an issue of a ghost image appearing in the composition background. I can't figure out how it got there or how to remove it. It's really annoyong as the image also appears in rendered videos.
This only seems to appear when my composition settings is set at 1024 x 576 px, which I must use for projects. If I increase the composition size by 1 pixel, the image disappears, change it back and it reappears.
note, that there is no files in my project and the image still appears.
I have just created an effect I want to apply to other images. How to I save this effect as a preset, so I can apply this to my other images?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have not recently been saving my metadata to file. I decide to turn this option on in preferances and it took a while for it all data to be written to the files. Most of my files start in Lightroom and get worked on with Photoshop layers, saved as TIFF, and reimported into Lightroom from other folders. My question is, if I went back to Lightroom and made some changes to develop settings to see what it would look like with different settings in Lightroom, didn't use the settings in the previously exported file but left them there in Lightroom since the file had already been exported and saved as TIFF..... can now saving the metadata to file change the way the finished file looks since the settings are different than those originally used to process the file (of note, I do not have save develop metadata to file for TIFF, PSD tyurned on).

Any way in X5 to save or copy the modifications/effects from one photo to another? I took photos of some old building drawings and used clarify, noise removal, contrast, etc. I wanted to apply the exact same modifications to all of the other photos of the drawings. Is there a simple way to do this? Can I save it as a preset or filter or something similar. It would sure save a lot of time.
