Oct 9, 2012There is an image that keeps opening automatically when I open CS6 Photoshop? Why is this happening for only that one image? How do I stop it?

View 5 RepliesI recently upgraded from CS4 to CS5. I imported some of the actions I had created without problem.
Â
I use one for sharpening with the following steps:
Â
1. Convert to Lab Mode
2. Select Lightness Channel
3. Open Unsharp Mask Dialogue Box
4. Convert back to RGB Mode
Â
The "Dialogue" box is correctly toggled to "on" in Step # 3
Â
However when I execute the Action, the Dialogue Box for USM doesn't automatically pop up, as it did in CS4 - but if I click anywhere on the screen, it then does.
Â
I tried recreating the same action in CS5, but it has the same problem - the Dialogue Box for USM doesn't open by itself, and only does so after I click anywhere on the screen.
Â
This happens both on my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Desktop, and a new Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Laptop.

In PS CS3 there was a preference setting to automatically open Bridge when Photoshop was launched.
Â
This setting seems to be absent in CS5.
Â
Is there any way to get both apps to launch simultaneously?
I have upgraded my Elements 9 to Elements 12. I used to be able to open a raw file directly into the raw editor in Elements 9. With Elements 12 I click to open the raw file with Elements 12 but Elements opens into the basic editor with no picture opening. I then have to select Open Camera Raw from the file menu and select the photo again. The photo then opens. Is there a setting i can change so that elements 12 opens directly into the raw editor?

In CS6 Illustrator, when I click on fill or stroke color, the color panel opens automatically. How do I turn off this "feature"?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt was working perfectly fine over the weekend and then Monday I open illustrator and try to open a drawing I was working on and it closes on me everytime. Now I can't open or save files without it closing itself. I would uninstall and reinstall it but i lost my code. I have to make vector images for a couple of clients of mine!
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a newly imported RAW for the first time my computer thinks for about a second and transforms the colours. On some picutres it can hardly be seen, but on others the chance is huge and I have not found a way to bring it back to more or less the colours of the neighbouring Jpegs. It also seems to be irreversible within Lightroom. I hope this is not normal, as the colours usually look much less pleasant after the transformation.
 Â
- I work with LR 4.4
- I have already disactivated the automatic Levels in the import settings
- I shoot RAW with a Pentax K-7, having set the RAW in Adobe standards
How can I stop Lightroom 3 opening automatically whenever I insert an SD card?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 5, and was wondering if there's a quick way to display all items in a stack in Survey View.Expanding the stackSelecting all items in the stack.Switching to survey view.I was wondering if there was a quick way to click on the stack and get it to open in Survey View.

Failing that I was wondering if I could automatically select all the items in a stack.
Every time I open a RAW file into Photoshop CS5Â from LR3, it automatically creates and saves a PSD or TIFF file. Is there a way to stop lightroom from doing this? When I used LR2, I saved these files only if I choose to. I always convert my files to jpg after I'm done editing in PS and don't need these huge files hanging around.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to just open any image and my copyright info would be inserted into the file data. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi mean, when re-sizing(transform) an image, it automatically blured the edges or the image itself(so the image looks fine), but when i installed the photoshop CS and un-installed it coz its expired already(demo) and installed the photoshop 7 again, the nightmare begins. when i resize an image i saw it pixelated(not good). is there any settings on this?? and when the 1st time i opened the photoshop 7, it tells me to install it on another volume(but i dont have another disk/ partition).
View 5 Replies View RelatedMany (weaker) programs allow you to drag an image into a template and have it resize to fit into a specific area. Can this be done in CS6? For instance .... if you designed a 4x6 Christmas card template and it had a (place holder?) for a 2x2 photograph, and you dragged an image into this 2x2 area, can it resize automatically to "fill" just that 2x2 area? This would result in some cropping of just the longest dimension, if the image inserted wasn't a square.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently Photoshop CS6 has started automatically opening up to a certain photo every time I launch it. I'd like to stop this behavior.
Â
I am on a MacPro running Mt. Lion, all sw is up to date.
When I open an image by double clicking on the file name, or by right-click > open in > photoshop, immediately up pops an image saying "Some Clipping May Occur" or the print dialogue in some cases.
But, if I drag the file into PS and drop it, it does not try to print it. So it seems to be something about actually "opening" a file that makes it want to print. I tried changing the file association to another program then back, but it didn't work. I'm using WinXP
On adobe photoshop, I know that there is a program that automatically resizes images for you.
I'm pretty sure there is program that automatically puts an image on each photo for you, that you choose in a folder.
Ex: How do you put your logo on the bottom of the right corner (or anywhere) on all the photos you put in a folder?
When I'm moving a picture onto a canvas, it is automatically resized to a very small size. I wish only for the picture to move onto the canvas, then still keeping it's size. Afterwards, I wish to resize it myself using ctrl + t but the automatic small size is preventing me from making it better size, and less pixelated. Does anyone has a solution to turn off this automatic resizing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI take a lot of passport sized ID images (45mm high x 35mm wide). When I get them back from the lab I have to identify each image.
If I could have the image filename on the bottom of each image the identifying process can be made a lot less time consuming and of course negate the posibility of misidentifying the image.
In Photoshop CS5: when you closed an image, you'd automatically go back to Bridge, where you could open the next image.
Â
Now you close an image, and you stay in Photoshop with a blank screen.
Â
You have to go to the dock, and click Bridge.
Â
How can I get the CS5 way back, so I don't have to do two unnecessary steps each time?
Photoshop opens automatically when I save any image from anyplace on the web and it is nerve racking! CS5 is the version. how to stop it from opening like that?
