I take a lot of passport sized ID images (45mm high x 35mm wide). When I get them back from the lab I have to identify each image.
If I could have the image filename on the bottom of each image the identifying process can be made a lot less time consuming and of course negate the posibility of misidentifying the image.
When I open an image by double clicking on the file name, or by right-click > open in > photoshop, immediately up pops an image saying "Some Clipping May Occur" or the print dialogue in some cases.
But, if I drag the file into PS and drop it, it does not try to print it. So it seems to be something about actually "opening" a file that makes it want to print. I tried changing the file association to another program then back, but it didn't work. I'm using WinXP
Whenever I save out a TIFF file it automatically resizes the image down to 300 ppi. What setting is this so I can uncheck it?

What we do is have a large data set imported into the Variables applet and use the Actions applet to record and export action and play it through the whole data set. We later combine the PDF files and print them as a batch.
My question is: Is there a way to create an action that will automatically print the data set while avoiding the print dialog box? It will make the process simple and move faster.
Also, what are your was of creating postcards? Catalogs?
How do people create a catalog with over 60 pages and keep the file size low?
I did a Photo shoot for some dancers who need some images for print. How do i save these images so that they are A, print ready pdf's. and B, Email able.
The goal is to get these images onto the page of a paper/magazine. Not full size but i guess they will be a put in a box.
Could be handy to set print "File Name" to image name.

I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.

When I go to print a copy it automatically prints in color. If I want to go just black, which I like to copy everything in just black and white, I have to manually do it. Is there a way to make black and white the default.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble printing in Photoshop CS2. Rregardless of which printer I try to print to, I get the message "Could not print because of a problem writing the print file". I have never encountered this error before.
The psd file I am printing is a wall banner, and is quite large (~200MB). It contains elements copied/pasted as pixels from Illustrator CS2. However even if I flatten the file, or save as a flattened tif, I still get the same error message.
Thinking that the psd file is corrupted, I tried printing an earlier version of the file, with no luck. I've even tried printing other, small unrelated files, and can't print those either. Even after rebooting the computer.
The computer I'm using has a dual core processor, 4GB RAM, a decent graphics card and is running under XP. I have gob-loads of HD space and also use a scratch disk.
I really only want to print the file myself as a proof. However, I'm concerned that the banner printers won't be able to print the file either.
I don't remember ever using this checkbox on the Publish dialog box but today i want to and i can't figure out how to make it work. The help file ~seems~ to say that if i select this, the contents of all open documents (layouts and/or model space) are automatically loaded.... but they don't.
I know i can pick the Add Sheets button and manually select all the drawings i have open but doesn't that defeat the purpose of this checkbox?
How to automatically print the layers of a drawing in separate sheets in one go?
I wanted to print the layers of a particular drawing each in separate sheet but wondering if there might be an automated way to do so. For example, if I a particular drawing comprise 15 layers then how to print each one of these layers in a separate sheet.
Sure, there might be more than one way to achieve this (like controlling the “plot” feature on the “layer properties manager” but what I’m looking for is an automated way to print all the 15 layers separately in one go.

Is it possible in Lightroom to automatically append/prepend directory names in the file path into the file name itself? Example:
DirectoryA Sub-directoryB filename.jpg (original file name)

if i need to rename or change anything in the iproperties of ipt, im doing it from the vault.my problem is that, when i change something in iproperties of an ipt thru vault, i have to open the idw to update it.
as most of the iproperties in ipt shows in the idw.
its easy to change the properties in vault. but its deleting its purpose if i have to each idw to make sure i have the updated idw.is there a code where i can open all idw and save the same file and checking to the vault automatically?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi mean, when re-sizing(transform) an image, it automatically blured the edges or the image itself(so the image looks fine), but when i installed the photoshop CS and un-installed it coz its expired already(demo) and installed the photoshop 7 again, the nightmare begins. when i resize an image i saw it pixelated(not good). is there any settings on this?? and when the 1st time i opened the photoshop 7, it tells me to install it on another volume(but i dont have another disk/ partition).

For instance .... if you designed a 4x6 Christmas card template and it had a (place holder?) for a 2x2 photograph, and you dragged an image into this 2x2 area, can it resize automatically to "fill" just that 2x2 area? This would result in some cropping of just the longest dimension, if the image inserted wasn't a square.

I'm pretty sure there is program that automatically puts an image on each photo for you, that you choose in a folder.
Ex: How do you put your logo on the bottom of the right corner (or anywhere) on all the photos you put in a folder?
When I'm moving a picture onto a canvas, it is automatically resized to a very small size. I wish only for the picture to move onto the canvas, then still keeping it's size. Afterwards, I wish to resize it myself using ctrl + t but the automatic small size is preventing me from making it better size, and less pixelated.Does anyone has a solution to turn off this automatic resizing?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have both ACad 2002 and 2012, (both 32-bit) installed. I have plenty of RAM.
I'm converting a .dwg file to a .pdf and plotting to the desktop to either send out the pdf file or print to myself.
My problem is that it takes "what seems like forever" to plot a .pdf file to the desktop using 2012.
My situation is:
1. In 2002, using the Adobe pdf driver it takes 6.7 seconds from the time I press plot until the pdf file appears on my desktop.
2. In 2012, using the same 2000 formated file opened in 2012 it takes 37 seconds for the file to appear on my desktop.
3. In 2012, using a .pc3 driver, the same file, qsaved and formatted to 2012 takes 34 seconds to appear on the desktop.
Acrobat was installed on my computer prior to ACad 2012 but I've uninstalled/reinstalled Acrobat and I get the same result as above.
Is there anyway to speed Acrobat up? I defrag'd, cleaned the registry but I get the same results.
I'm trying to set up my new machine to export the XML of a file when I open it by dragging the files onto the Ps icon (Mac). It used to automatically happen on my old work machine.
