I'm trying to set up my new machine to export the XML of a file when I open it by dragging the files onto the Ps icon (Mac). It used to automatically happen on my old work machine.
View 3 RepliesI need to export with artboard. Illustrator automatically adds a number to my original file name. It won't even let me replace the old file. It is extremely annoying and makes flow with other programs really hard because they can't auto update, since the file name changes. When you have multiple files, you can't be manually renaming all the time.

as most of the iproperties in ipt shows in the idw.
its easy to change the properties in vault. but its deleting its purpose if i have to each idw to make sure i have the updated idw.is there a code where i can open all idw and save the same file and checking to the vault automatically?
When I open a raw file it automatically converts to a smart object. After processing and merging I am unable to print anything other than the original object. What might I be doing wrong?

The Revit 2011 Navisworks Exporter plugin works fine for exporting files for Navisworks Manage (.nwc). The problem is that those files can't be opened in Navisworks freedom until they are converted to a .nwd file. Can the .nwd be generated directly from the plugin? Both NWD and NWC are shown in the Navisworks Options Editor for the plugin, but only a .nwc is generated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been away for a few months and now, when I go to open a RAW image in CS6, it tries to default to Photoshop, then opens in Camera RAW. This is something new. How do I get RAW images to open automatically in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw)? They did before (two months ago). They do not now. I can, of course, right click and go to the dropdown menu and tell it to open in RAW but that is an extra, unnecessary step. There's a saying..."It's not a bug, it's a feature." I am on a MacPro running Mt. Lion, all sw is up to date.
When I open an image by double clicking on the file name, or by right-click > open in > photoshop, immediately up pops an image saying "Some Clipping May Occur" or the print dialogue in some cases.
But, if I drag the file into PS and drop it, it does not try to print it. So it seems to be something about actually "opening" a file that makes it want to print. I tried changing the file association to another program then back, but it didn't work. I'm using WinXP
I used to be able to just open any image and my copyright info would be inserted into the file data. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a very large PDF that I need to open in Photoshop (It is a template image). The size of the image is 125.9843" x 91.5354".
However, when I open in Photoshop the image is automatically resized to about 106" x 79". I have tried to manually input the dimensions upon opening the file, however, when I open the file and check "Image Size" the dimensions are 106" x 79" again.
I can open the image in Illustrator at the correct dimensions automatically, and the PDF file itself is at the correct dimensions.

File-> Open is the only way I can open files with 64-bit.When I clicking icons or right click-> Open With they only open with the 32-bit version. (Even though I've set the default program to 64-bit)
I'm able to open 64 bit by shortcut and it runs very well, about 10 times faster loading time and extremely smoothly for everything I do.

I like to edit my images in Photoshop. why after I upload raw files into LR and using photoshop as external editor, the file opens but not in the PS (photoshop) raw processor. I have to work around this by first finding the image in windows explorer and dragging this file into PS. Shouldn’t the file open automatically in the PS raw processor ?

In Photoshop CS6 extended,when exporting 3D file as an .obj (that has a material assigned to it), it does not create the material file - .mtl - only the .obj file is created.
Is there a setting I am missing?It works on another station, so I assume its a setting.
