I render in 3ds Max and output .exr files. Whenever I open them the dialoge box pops up to ask me if I'd like to assign a working profile or assign a specific profile. Is there some way that I can tell PS to just always assign a working profile so I don't always have to go through that dialoge box?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI know it can be done but have had little luck finding how. I need to Convert GIS features to an engineering friendly cad file and I'm stumped at the point of assigning blocks to the points.
Also another issue is that I would often need to assign those blocks based on field values. Noob questions I know but it's my one critical step I've not sorted out.
I have an issue when assigning a profile to an untagged ai-file. When doing so, and choosing "Save" (NOT "Save As") the file remains untagged when reopening it again.
Try it yourself: Create a new file in Illustrator, and select Edit > Assign Profile, and then choose "Dont Color Manage This Document". Choose Save As, select Ai-file, and in Illustrator Option choose NOT to Embed ICC Profile. Close the file, and reopen it again. Now you should be promted with a Missing Profile warming. Assign a profile, and Save** (NOT "Save As") the file. In my opinion the file should now be embedded with a profile, but when reopening the file, your again promed with a missing profile warning.
**This doesnt happen it you instead of "Save" choose "Save As", or if the ai-file you start wih doesn't miss the profile, but just has a wrong profile.

I was using COM to add profiles to bands because I couldn't figure out how to do it in .NET. But when it comes to pipe networks I don't see how you can do that with COM. How the .NET implementation is supposed to work? Here's the code I have that works for COM, except for the pipe networks. I essentially need to assign the correct pipe network to the band.

How to show the level of cut on the profile as reference line automatically?

I just created a wall sweep on a wall , but I noticed the sweep doesn't adjust to the wall profile, please see the second floor wall in the attached image. Is there anyway to make the sweep adjust to the profile of the wall automatically?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't believe Illustrator doesn't do this automatically. If you create a stroke profile on one side of the stroke by holding Alt/ Option while dragging with the Width Tool and then mirror the object, the stroke profile doesn't mirror accordingly. You have to go to the Stroke panel and click one of the flipping buttons for each stroke of the mirrored artwork. This makes mirroring complex artwork very time consuming. Mirroring with transform effect doesn't have this problem but this makes the usage and editing of the mirrored object difficult.
I'm just posting this before making a feature request in case I'm missing something. And to check if this problem has been already raised and the feature request made.

The other day, my lasso tool started acting strange. It would automatically select things whenever it was in line of my starting point. I fail at decribing things, but whatever. So I started messing around with the settings and now it's messed up even more. It just shows up the line, and I can't connect points. It's just like...once again, I fail at describing things. So I was wondering. How do I get it to go back to normal?! I can't get rid of the background any other way because I also fail at using the eraser, extract tool, and quick selection.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been away for a few months and now, when I go to open a RAW image in CS6, it tries to default to Photoshop, then opens in Camera RAW. This is something new. How do I get RAW images to open automatically in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw)? They did before (two months ago). They do not now. I can, of course, right click and go to the dropdown menu and tell it to open in RAW but that is an extra, unnecessary step. There's a saying..."It's not a bug, it's a feature." No, this seems to be a bug. What happened?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 3 and just this morning noticed that all of the preloaded lens profiles are missing. I've been using the program for 3 years now and they've always been there previously. The only one available is SIGMA. I have a Canon, so all of those are gone. At the bottom of the box in "Develop" it says "Unable to locate a matching profile automatically."
I am running on Windows and tried repairing, but it seems to be missing the installation file that it needs.Is there a way to download and install the profiles for just the lenses I have? Or, do I need to completely re-install? If that's the case, will all of my libraries stay in tact?

I am on a MacPro running Mt. Lion, all sw is up to date.
When I open an image by double clicking on the file name, or by right-click > open in > photoshop, immediately up pops an image saying "Some Clipping May Occur" or the print dialogue in some cases.
But, if I drag the file into PS and drop it, it does not try to print it. So it seems to be something about actually "opening" a file that makes it want to print. I tried changing the file association to another program then back, but it didn't work. I'm using WinXP
I have created default settings by serial number for my Canon Mark III 1ds which include enabled lens profile corrections. I then created a user preset with these default corrections. Next I imported a folder of RAW images shot with this same Canon camera with the user profile checked as part of the import. When I switch to the Develop module and check the Lens Corrections panel, I see that although it is checked for each file, the actual make, model and profile are not populated.
Is this a bug or am I overlooking something on import? I understand that in LR 4, you can apply specific lens and camera calibration profiles to camera serial numbers (noise reduction etc too).
MacPro 2.8 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 16 gigs of ram running OSX 10.7.2.
This is on a 2011 macbook pro with mountain lion. I have tried to use two new icc profiles, put them in:
library-colorsync-profiles-recommended
and while they work in preview, and illustrator, they will not work in photoshop. I go through the print dialog, with photoshop managing colors, select icc profile. Hit print, try to open pdf in preview, and it's all white (this only after blanks were printed out). I have tried, tested, and no luck.
I have a very large PDF that I need to open in Photoshop (It is a template image). The size of the image is 125.9843" x 91.5354".
However, when I open in Photoshop the image is automatically resized to about 106" x 79". I have tried to manually input the dimensions upon opening the file, however, when I open the file and check "Image Size" the dimensions are 106" x 79" again.
I can open the image in Illustrator at the correct dimensions automatically, and the PDF file itself is at the correct dimensions.

File-> Open is the only way I can open files with 64-bit.When I clicking icons or right click-> Open With they only open with the 32-bit version. (Even though I've set the default program to 64-bit)
I'm able to open 64 bit by shortcut and it runs very well, about 10 times faster loading time and extremely smoothly for everything I do.

I like to edit my images in Photoshop. why after I upload raw files into LR and using photoshop as external editor, the file opens but not in the PS (photoshop) raw processor. I have to work around this by first finding the image in windows explorer and dragging this file into PS. Shouldn’t the file open automatically in the PS raw processor ?

Why doesn't the image fully fit in the available screen area automatically, when first opening? View 5 Replies View Related have a problem with the settings of the graylevel profile. RGB and CMYK works fine, but graylevel does not. If I change the modus from RGB to graylevel, white (255, 255, 255) becomes a light yellow (255, 254, 220). Black (0, 0, 0,) becomes (1, 1, 1,).
The monitor is calibrated and there is no color problem. White is white and black is black (as usual). It's just the graylevel gamut in photoshop.
RGB: Samsung Natural Color (rgb profile of my monitor)
CMYK: not important
Gray: Dot gain 10% (I tried every profil but I always got the same result. White becomes a light yellow).
Look at the screenshot, you will see the difference between rgb and graylevel: [URL]...
is there a setting that i can have whatever i scan automatically open up in gimp when i scan it...? it would save maybe 2 steps in my daily drill.
