Photoshop :: Adjust File For Printing On Cream...

Someone sent me a photo (group shot), said it's to be printed on cream colored stock and requested that I color correct it for that scenario. Well, I don't have a sample of the stock but I DO have a scan of it (but it looks more greenish than creamish).�Assuming that I end up with a color that accurately represents the card stock, what's the best way to do the correction? I've put the image over the approximated color and set the blend to Multiply but I don't know if that's what I need to be doing or not.�Funny I've never run into this before.

I recently purchased a new monitor, and ive looked for a solution to this question in its book etc, but i had no joy. Basically upon opening an image, or even selecting the a colour from the colour swatch in photoshop, the colour doesnt seem to look right.
The most obvious is the colour white. In photoshop, upon selecting white, the chosen colour actually looks a lot more like a creamy colour.
I have done some calibration in adobe gamma but that hasnt really helped.
upon opening photoshop after installing my new monitor, i had some sort of message come up, and i didnt read the entire message before i had closed it (duh) but it said something about colour profile error or mis-match - im not 100% sure of what the error was but i know it was definately about colour and it referenced the fact a new monitor had been installed.

I have just installed elements 11 on a windows 7 machine and whites are showing as cream, even in the colour pickers and swatches. My elements 8 works fine. how do I fix this?

I am creating a peice of artwork in illustrator. I have cut out the icecream image in photoshop and placed it in illustrator as a psd file. It looks fine in illustrator, looks like it should do. The problem occurs when I export to pdf, a black border around the ice cream image appears. However when I print the black border does not display. So the issue with the black border only appears on the pdf. Check out the attachment beow for example of what I mean.

there is a way to allow photoshop to save files with names longer than 31 characters. I am creating a Photo Gallery and want the name of the files to contain the names of the persons in the picture.
I read the help docs but can't find where to modify the Save Options.
Where does one go to change this option?

I need to include several pages of pdfs in a book. The pdfs are scanned text documents, image only, with no security applied. When I open the pdf on my mac pro with photoshop cs6, I can make adjustments in the curves dialog, but when I close the dialog the adjustments disappear. The history pallette shows the action, but nothing happened. Also can make visible changes in a curves adjustment layer, but when I flatten the image the changes disappear. I've tried opening the pdf as grayscale, rgb, and cmyk; same result. I've also saved it in several different formats, then reopened it; same result. The file initially opens as a background layer with a locked symbol in the layers pallette. If I duplicate the layer and delete the background, the locked symbol disappears, but photoshop still won't accept changes made in the curves dialog. I tried it with cs4, and had a friend try the same things with on a pc; same result. Levels adjustment won't work, either.

I have a little problem with JPG files. When I’m trying to export .IPT file to JPG file I can’t adjust quality of JPG file. Even if I change pixel quantity up to 1000 quality of picture stays same. Also size of the file is does not change no matter how much pixels I use. How to improve quality?

I am working as the civil engineer on a design team for a building that is primarily using REVIT. My site design is done in Civil 3D in real world coordinates and elevations.
Unfortantely, the architect and the rest of the design team are working at 0,0 with a finished floor of 100. When I bring in the ADSK file, I can move it horiztonally to match my site but I can't figure out how to move it vertically so it ties in with my model.

I've got CS2 at home on the PC. When I open photoshop or any document, the black and white are black and a dark cream color on my monitor. There is no white at all in the color areas and white seems to show as this cream color everywhere - affecting how I view images. However, when I print the white is white. Have tried changing around color settings.

I am designing t-shirts in Photoshop that will be printed out by a number of employees in different locations, and with different printers. These designs will be printed on special A4 paper and then transferred on to the t-shirts using a heat press.
But I am worried that I will have issues with "outside of the printable area" type errors on certain printers. I would rather not have use the "crop to fit" option as this will mean I lose quality.. Should I just set a default margin for all of my t shirt template psd files? Or is there a better way around this?

I need to print some stuff in japanese. However, since illustrator doesn't seem to support chinese nor japanese, I've been using photoshop. Up to now whenever I print business cards or whatever, I've been sending the file type to the print shop as .ai. However, with photoshop, do I simply send the file over in .psd format?

I am trying to convert a psd file that is a 36"X80" banner to a pdf file. In the past, I have printed to PDF and all has been fine. Today the Print to PDF fails... it doesn't give me an error it just pretends like it prints to pdf with the status box popping up for a second, then nothing. So I attempted to Save As a PDF instead this worked, but resulted in pdf with a file size of 453M! This is much larger than the pdf's I was getting before, in the 3-ish M file size..

I bought a software which comes with a camera auto-focus calibration chart. The manufacturer mentioned that this chart is generated by a vector base program so customers can ajust the size of chart without any problem. The chart file is in pdf format.
When I use my Photoshop CS5 (on Windows 7) to print it from my Epson 2200 inkject printer, it only print the vector part without filling up the inside of the vectors enclosed area to black. Even the words in the footer are printed the vectors only (without fillup the word with black).
what's the cause.

I like to do some freelance Photoshop projects once in a while. Lasts months has been more . Now i made a logo for a restaurant which they want to print as a vinyl sticker for on their windows. I send this logo to the printing company, but they asked me for a seperate outline-file, because the sticker will be contoured cut around the logo. But in Photoshop i cannot seem to find a method to make a outline file.

I have used Paste Special to insert an excel schedule into my AutoCAD drawings. When I try to print to Adobe PDF the excel schedule disappears. When I print to DWG to PDF the schedule is there but the text is really heavy and the file size is extremely large. This is causing a problem when combining PDF drawing sets, the files crash. why when I try to print an excel file to Adobe PDF that the schedules disappear?

when i print a .dwg to a .pdf file, my computer opens the .pdf file for me to see. Might be nice for some, but for me it's a pain i the ass.
how to turn it off? Within Autocad or in Windows?

How do I set my Illustrator file to print clearly?
I am designing a simple label (3.75 x 1.25 inches, black and white) that is mostly text based. I tried printing directly from Illustrator and also as a converted PDF (high quality) and the results are the same - slightly blurry and fuzzy text.
The printing problem seems to only happen when I try to print Illustrator files and PDFs converted from Illustrator. (Printing with a laser printer.)

This is a very strange thing that is happening. Half the text on my file is not printing, it's like it's invisible. The strange thing is I received two files from the same person the first one was fine. It odd the first five lines are printing but not the rest of the text. I can re-type the text but I was wondering why it's happening.

I'm on a help desk where we have several users who run Win7, but can't publish any projects that have a TIFF overlay. Let me correct that. It prints, but that TIFF overlay is not included.
They print to a Xerox 6204 Wide Format printer, and every single Win7 user has this problem (32 and 64 bit). The one person that still runs XP doesn't have this problem. This sounds like a driver problem to me, but we've reinstalled the drivers and still no change.

I am trying to get my first 3d print of a model and am having problems getting it into a format that the printing service can use. I've read up and attempted stlout, 3dprint, and export commands to no avail. I get the message that the objects need to be 3dsolids or watertight meshes.
After reading all the hype on 3d printing and being very excited about it, I"ve got to say that I'm a bit overwhelmed with the steps it appears one has to take to get an architectural model to print.
The model is made with aca 2012.

I created an ad in color but might possibly be required to provide it in black and white also. However, The file contains an image that's in color. Can you print a model file to scale without setting up a view with a scale? Like in Autocad, you could print the model space to a certain scale within the page setup manager. Does revit have anything like that? Or do I have to set up a sheet view prior to printing anything?

I have poster-sized file (32'' x 70'') that I need to send to my printing company. It will be printed at 200%. Will a PDF not be clear enough? There is one image. Do you need to "package" like in Indesign so they have the high res images and fonts?
