View 3 Replies View Relatedi'm using DBP to fill a 48 page catalog in ventura 10 with 500 product descriptions (up to 600 characters) and small .jpg photos in tables (six columns). the data is .dbf format (dbaseIV from access2000) including a memo-field and .jpg links. depending on the sort order and/or filtering (selection of ) the items it either:
1. works like a dream or
2. most commonly, the tables (including the headers) have additional empty rows around each item
with exactly the same data just sorted differently the results can be different (with or without empty rows). the result is 100% repeatable using the same recipe/sorting.i can't see any difference in the .txt files apart from the sort order of the table contents.the .jpgs are all 600 x 600px and the frame preset to 2.1cm x 2.1 cm..default page fonts all set to 7pt to avoid row height > page size
I have a problem with CD X4 : when I create a new file, totally empty, and save it, the file size is 2.7 Mo !I deleted all styles (colors, graphics, texts) and the problème is the same.I reinstall the software and the problem is the same.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using CorelDraw X4 on a Windows Vista Home Basic System. Trying to "Publish to PDF" produces empty PDF Files, with a page size of 0 mm x 0 mm. The original File has a layout of (German) A4 and a textbox with "Test".
There are no error messages.Even using a PDF Printer (FreePDF XP) doesn't produce a file, but gaves the error message
"%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: -0,15789 ]%%GhostScript Error 1. Error, no PDF file produced! (False)".
When I usually work with corel, I export my files in .png when I finished working so that I can use them in Power Point or whatever. It was never a problem and still works with most of my files, but I have now one file that simply doesn't want to be converted.
I export it like usual (--> export --> .png) but than in the preview it shows me nothing but an empty bar-like part of the file, so basically nothing. The .png file that is created it empty.
My printer (actually, it's a laser engraver) is reading the entire artboard in addition to the actual image as needing to be run when set for "3D" (aka greyscale) images, as opposed to just going to the image on the artboard. It is running as though it sees the empty space as white and it is trying to "color" it. When it gets to where the image is placed on the artboard, it runs the image (black or greyscale) within/on it. It wastes A LOT of time. I guess, what I really want to know is how to make sure the artboard area is not being picked up and seen as a part of the image. I need it's dimentions to be read, but not any fill except for the actual image(s) on the artboard. I've never had this problem in the past with other machines (by the same manufacturer) using Illustrator. I was using CS5, not CC.
I ran this by the laser company's techs and they say it is an issue with my Illustrator/Adobe set up, not their driver.
This is a very strange thing that is happening. Half the text on my file is not printing, it's like it's invisible. The strange thing is I received two files from the same person the first one was fine. It odd the first five lines are printing but not the rest of the text. I can re-type the text but I was wondering why it's happening.

When opening the attached file and printing it to efi/fiery rip (or adobe pdf), some characters are on top of each other. Word spacing is also to large. Printing the same file with X5 without problem. File is originally created in X5. Tried with the new "update text" feature as well, same issue.
Status bar.JPG
Is there a way to have the status bar show up whenever a file is printing or saving. So far the only way it shows up is if you click on the little icon at the bottom right of the window.
it would be nice to be able to send art I have created to customers in an interactive pdf where they may click on different shirt colors they may want to order and see their art displayed on those colors similar to clothing websites.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to specify 1/8" bleeds on 3 sides only when either publishing to pdf or when printing to cutepdf, etc?
(for a pdf that will be imposed outside of coreldraw later)
Or do I have to just adjust the page size to include the bleeds within the page area itself on the 3 sides I want them on within coreldraw?
In my job as a cartographer I regualrly get asked to create advertisements for mining magazines. The ads usually contain both text and images. The colours I use in Coreldraw are PMS colours and the images are CMYK colours.
The problem I have is when I publish my ad to PDF the PMS colours always come out fine (which I would expect) but the image colours always look dull and washed out. The only time the images look fine when I publish to PDF is when I use output to RGB hut the printers then reject my ad (naturally). Is there something I need to do to the image in Photopaint?
I am using CorelDRAW X5, on windows 7 64bit.
When publishing to pdf & I've used shadows or effects, there are color differences or shifts where the effect overlaps vector, bitmap or fonts?
Yes, I can flatten to avoid this, but our RIP doesn't see the pantone color when doing it this way. Or, I can convert all spot to CMYK, but this gives incorrect output when printed.
I've tried different settings etc, but all seem to do the same.
file info in Photoshop shows only an empty box yet works in bridge.

How to Embed Fonts in Corel Draw X6 ?
I have a problem publishing a particular file to pdf. The file is one page, with text, 9 small-size (but high-res) photos, and a couple of arrows (ie line with arrow end). Items not on the page are on the Desktop, which is set not to print. I have tried both Page as well as Selection (selecting all the objects on the page). Every time, the pfd doc appears in the requisite folder but is 0KB or 1KB and cannot be opened in a pdf program, and a window called CorelDraw(R) appears saying that CD has to close and that Windows will close it. I have never had this problem before. It is presently only with this particular file/page.
View 12 Replies View Relatedwhen I publish to PDF, CAD automatically names the PDF file as the drawing name and then the tab name eg, Radome Lighting Mounts - 22-095 with the Radome Lighting Mounts being the drawing name and 22-095 being the name of the layout tab.
My question is, are you able to reverse this so that the file name of the PDF reads 22-095 - Radome Lighting Mounts?
On the web I have seen a video on how to make an app from your Edge Animate project [URL]. I have tried to follow this video, but when I publish my project, no .zip file is created.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have no problems publishing to one file from multiple tabs, or plotting to multiple single files named after each tab. I want to batch plot to a single file with bookmarks named after each tab in my AutoCad file. I would think that it would name each bookmark "Filename-TabName" as it goes down the batch plotting (publishing) list. Right now, I print to individual files and combine. This creates bookmarks for each filename like I want, but I have to name my tabs in order, or re-order everything each time which is time consuming.
Is there a setting to create bookmarks as you print to a single file that are named after each tab? This would be cool and very useful. I cannot imagine that I am the only one who wants this.
The recent files are not listed in the welcome dialog box or under file menu recent files drop down list? How I can get it to list again?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased CorelDraw x5. There used to be means to treat closed curves as not filled. But I can't find the means. I think in x4 I simply checked an item in a dialogue box.
At present if you click inside a closed curve [e.g. a rectangle] the curve is selected. That makes selecting items inside the curve separately. Which is a real pain, since I use a rectangle as a figure frame.
I changed my Publish options on the Project Navigator for publishing to PDF as a single sheet per sheet layout. Now I want to put it back so that when I publish it does ALL sheet into one PDF file and I can not figure out how to put it back. Now ever time I publish it does each sheet as a separate pdf.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a large line of text (110 characters) with no spaces in it that I'm trying to fill into a 4"x6" area, with the text wrapping / font size scaling as needed.
The problem is that Corel is breaking up the text at a hyphen leaving a lot of empty white space at the end of the line after the hyphen.
If I remove this one particular hyphen (there are many), then no problem. I've already checked for hidden (newline) characters.
The "Use Hyphenation" option is unchecked and there is no formatting going on other than the size of the text box itself.
I tried to start Photoshop 5.1 64bit today, and it shows the blue intro screen with the reading and loading, and then it goes to a popup error message that reads, "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is empty." I can run the 32bit version fine, but I would prefer to use the 64bit version. I am running Windows 64bit Ultimate. I have been having issues here and there with CS5.5 on this computer. I ran CS4 fine for the last few years, but since after the upgrade, things have been acting weird. About two weeks ago, InDesign refused to work, so I did a reinstall. Then, two days later, I was having other issues, so I did another reinstall. Before that, Illustrator was having issues, so I had to copy programs files from my office computer to my home computer to make it work. I am starting to wonder if my hard drive is going out. Is there an Adobe fix for just Photoshop? I have the CS5.5 installation DVDs here. I tried copying the Photoshop.exe from my office computer to my home computer and replacing it, but it didn't work either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I open a drawing created in 2009 and try to publish it in 2010, DSD file message pops saying about unsaved changes (see attached). Since I don't use sheet sets, I do not have any use for DSD file. Is there a way to disable it?
In 2009 it was simple not to include model tab while publishing. Where is this option in 2010? I don't want to remove model tab from the list every time I publish drawings.
I'm a web developer currently slicing an illustrator file for web graphics. Some of the icons and images have shadows, lights, etc, and it's impossible to simply see by a naked eye which pixels contains some shade or nearly transparent color and which doesn't.
It would be extremely useful if I could somehow easily differentiate between empty and non-empty pixels, so I wouldn't miss any when slicing.
