Feb 27, 2012When I went back to work on the Mesh from yesterday, it was filled with white. How do I get back to empty mesh?

View 5 RepliesI have drawn two squares. one is 20mm sq and the other is 15mm sq.
I placed one square inside the boundery of the other and selected NO FILL..Yet when I import the image into my Laser Engraving program, the empty space between the borders of the two squares is FILLED...
How to stop the FILL happening ?????
I have a large line of text (110 characters) with no spaces in it that I'm trying to fill into a 4"x6" area, with the text wrapping / font size scaling as needed.
The problem is that Corel is breaking up the text at a hyphen leaving a lot of empty white space at the end of the line after the hyphen.
If I remove this one particular hyphen (there are many), then no problem. I've already checked for hidden (newline) characters.
The "Use Hyphenation" option is unchecked and there is no formatting going on other than the size of the text box itself.
So I am trying to use "fill hole" for this empty space on my mesh but it isn't working. I know I can figure out another solution to this problem but I want to know why it won't work.
First of all, when I double click the edge around the hole it doesn't just select the hole, it selects a huge ring that goes around the whole head for some reason (I'm attaching a picture).
Then when I select the edges around the hole one by one and select "fill hole" nothing happens and I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says "polycloseborder2" (I am also including a pic of this).
I am creating an image, mostly text and color. I want to create words with letters that have been turned cw and ccw, alternating. After that, I plan to flood fill the words. Unfortunately, I get some white inside where I flood filled.
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe thing is that my dimension text is colored white and outlined with the cyan( the color I want to use it for).
I have attached an image so that you can see. How to remove this white and have some other color instead of that.
I have created a compound path in illustrator and when I try to make a clipping mask, rather than revealing the image behind the path, the shape is filled with solid white. I am able to successfully make the mask using one shape or the other, but once I create the compound path, I just get this white fill.
I am in CS5 on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard). See screenshots below.
The two shapes still separated.
The compound path.

I have this north arrow that is not working in a clients drawing. Look at this drawing with the block in it and determine why the arrow head is filled in the block editor but not filled in the drawing (model space)???
View 3 Replies View RelatedSometimes when applying outline to text, as we increase the outline thickness, certain holes in the text are not being filled up, no matter how thick the outline is.
Is there a solution for this? As I think it's not so nice with holes here and there.
I've recently upgraded from V9 to X4. V9 has a button "treat as filled" which you can un-check to select objects.
Is there such an option in X4? - the default seems to be to treat everything as filled which is quite annoying.
For printing or mailing purpose, i used to re-open big .psb layer files (2-6GB) in cs5 and cs6 with keybombo "alt" and "shift" while double clicking the document in the finder window (10.6 + 10.7.5), in order to save time.
This is not possible anymore, everytime i open a document this way its white and empty in photoshop.
Where is the switch in CDR6 for toggling to only select an object per outline and not by clicking into the area. Used to be standard in the top bar.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed my old CorelDRAW X4 on a Windows 7 X64 computer, and want to work on text within a rectangle. When I try to draw a marquee round the text to move it, the rectangle moves instead (it has no fill). I seem to remember there is an option to select or remove "treat objects as filled", but can not find it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe imported file is probably from Illustrator. The vector element in question is text converted to curves with a CMYK bit map fill. CorelDraw X5 seems unable to extract the bitmap fill from the vectors. What's up with this, is there anyway to extract the bitmap fill?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using CorelDraw X4 on a Windows Vista Home Basic System. Trying to "Publish to PDF" produces empty PDF Files, with a page size of 0 mm x 0 mm. The original File has a layout of (German) A4 and a textbox with "Test".
There are no error messages.Even using a PDF Printer (FreePDF XP) doesn't produce a file, but gaves the error message
"%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: -0,15789 ]%%GhostScript Error 1. Error, no PDF file produced! (False)".
All my efforts to make PDF files has failed. I get empty PDF files, and I have tried almost all variations of settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I usually work with corel, I export my files in .png when I finished working so that I can use them in Power Point or whatever. It was never a problem and still works with most of my files, but I have now one file that simply doesn't want to be converted.
I export it like usual (--> export --> .png) but than in the preview it shows me nothing but an empty bar-like part of the file, so basically nothing. The .png file that is created it empty.
I recently purchased CorelDraw x5. There used to be means to treat closed curves as not filled. But I can't find the means. I think in x4 I simply checked an item in a dialogue box.
At present if you click inside a closed curve [e.g. a rectangle] the curve is selected. That makes selecting items inside the curve separately. Which is a real pain, since I use a rectangle as a figure frame.
know of a macro available that will search a document for any form of white fill (rgb, cmy, cmyk, greyscale, etc) and if it finds any of those colors, it will automatically change those white fills to a Pantone White Spot Color?
I'm aware on the Oberon Color Replacer, but I'd like a macro that is more simple and will do all of this with a click of a button or keyboard shortcut.
I'm a web developer currently slicing an illustrator file for web graphics. Some of the icons and images have shadows, lights, etc, and it's impossible to simply see by a naked eye which pixels contains some shade or nearly transparent color and which doesn't.
It would be extremely useful if I could somehow easily differentiate between empty and non-empty pixels, so I wouldn't miss any when slicing.
when you export any size graphic as a jpg (selected only or not) the dialogue box comes up empty, completely! when i go to close it, it crashes corel. If I tick the donot show filter dialogue box It makes a jpg image but i have no control over the settings. It works when I export to bmp! this is getting frustrating as I often have to jpeg some graphics for customers.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIn Coreldraw 12, I often use combine to end up with a one solid shape with many holes in it. Often I want to add a color inside one of the holes, much like a coloring book, but there is no shape there, it is just empty. What is the quickest way to create a solid that fills that hole exactly?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to remove a color after it has been applied to a node. Despite the "X" that show up in the color palette, clicking it does not remove the color. The only way to remove a color is to set the node's transparency to 100%, and the color will still show as the node's color in the mesh fill property bar. The color will appear to have been removed, but when clicking on the node again, the color come back.
The bug manifests itself in different ways depending on what color is selected. If the "X" is picked from the color palette floating/docked menu to remove color, nothing happens. Is it is picked from the Mesh Fill color drop down window from the context menu it will temporarily appear int he property bar.
In other object fills, you can select the "X" to remove the fill. I that something one ca't do in a mesh and one needs to color pick the background or set a default color for?
Is it possible to create a symmetrical grid in a mesh? without having to manually do each node and intersection? A simple square with just a small shape change to a corner causes non-symmetrical patterns in the entire mesh.
How is the mesh in CD different from AI? Of course there is a lot more online content for AI.
When working in Draw X6, usually on a Mesh Fill, when I go to a menu it is blacked out. I have to close and reload Corel to get to a normal screen. I've also experienced unexpected crashes when I work with the mesh tool. In addition, I'm needing to reload pages with Firefox. I use Win XP, it's the easiest to customize for my low vision. My spell check has stopped working.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNever did anything with mesh fill till today. Did some reading on it here over the past few days and did a drawing using only mesh fills, 1 for subject and 1 for background. I spent about 2 hours on it. I'm calling it "Lumpy-Bottle"
Is there a good way to assign grid node coordinates, other then free hand(I couldn't find a display for node coordinates) . Could you use a cad program, that displays a numeric coordinate for nodes to do the bulk of the grid work and tune it up or add different elements to cad drawing or use cad to do this type of drawing. I have a copy of "Turbo Cad" I have not used yet and was wondering how the different programs compared? I was trying to use the drawing grid guide, but the mesh fill grid lays on top of it and is opaque and and I couldn't use it well inside the mesh fill. I guess I could draw a transparent grid guide and lay it on top of the mesh fill, in a separate layer and lock it down
Is there some kind of guide or document on color placement and the relationship to grid line spacing, node placement and node handle angle and length.
