Sometimes when applying outline to text, as we increase the outline thickness, certain holes in the text are not being filled up, no matter how thick the outline is.
Is there a solution for this? As I think it's not so nice with holes here and there.
I've got a template with a set of Object defaults for an Inch drawing and a set for a Metric drawing. I've just noticed that within my metric set, if I insert a hole table with tapped holes, the font on the tapped holes doesn't match the other hole types. I'm searched around, but all the settings for the hole table style reference the same text style. (Please see the attached image.)
So is there a way to set a certain hole type to have a certain font or size within a hole table? Because if there is, I'd obviously like to remove it..... But I can't seem to figure out where the issue is.
Where did the outline properties go for TEXT in X6, like "Behind Fill" and "Scale with Image."I cannot find how to put an outline behind the text without converting it to curves!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.

Simply, when I try to print text with an outline the entire page gets filled with the outline color. Outline on objects print fine.I'm printing on my Xerox DC242 with the pcl driver.

Where can I find the button for the tab labelled " Outline width" or "outline pen window".
I have this north arrow that is not working in a clients drawing. Look at this drawing with the block in it and determine why the arrow head is filled in the block editor but not filled in the drawing (model space)???
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working with CorelDraw X3 and want to fill text into a round shape, while keeping it's exact outline. Hence, cutting of parts of words and letters is fine with me as long as the shape is well-defined. Unfortunately when filling paragraph text into a shape, the automatic line breaks lead to a quite irregular shape regardless of font size.
As workaround I arranged a mask in front of background and text but this requires a square paragraph text which is larger than the background. Since paragraph text obviously cannot be cropped with other objects I made the mask size bigger and filled it white. When exporting my document as image everything looks neat, but there must be a better way to do this in CorelDraw itself?
I tried converting the paragraph text into artistic text and cropping this, which works fine for a few words and a small object. But I'm talking around 1000 words here, and trying to crop this artistic text leads to very random cropping results. I guess such a large number of objects and knots is too much for CorelDraw to handle!?

Is there such an option in X4? - the default seems to be to treat everything as filled which is quite annoying.

I am trying to group a simple rectangle filled with color to some text that will make the rectangle in the background, the text in front, and be one object. View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add a hole to an existing hole chart. I drop the part into a new drawing, set the ordinate "zero", and add a hole chart by selecting a few holes. When I attempt to edit the chart: click chart, right click "edit", click add hole, select new holes, right click to create, the "create" selection is greyed out and all I have to choose from is cancel. I searched the forum here but could not find a reference to this a know issue. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch of 2013.
We are running win7 x64 machines and this happens on both the 2013 Ultimate and Premium editions of the product.
I have had this problem intermittently for a few weeks since going to Inventor 2013 SP1.1. I have a part within an assembly and that part has holes created in it before assembling it with other parts. Now when I try and create a hole table in a drawing of the assembly I cannot select hole edges and the hole table is blank when trying to create it automatically from view selection. I originally thought it may be an alignment issue but I have since aligned everything correctly and it still persists. I can create the hole table if I import in just the part into the drawing but it will not allow me to create the table on the whole assembly.
I can also create the hole table if I use "centred pattern" and create cross hairs on all of the holes however it does not give me correct annotations for the holes as shown in attachment and I can manually change the annotations but seriously this should not be required. As shown in the screen shot it reads as A1 down to K1 instead of A1 to A10. .
Question: Is it possible to control the Hole Dimensions called out on the Hole Chart? As in controling leading/trailing zeros for main hole dim, alt home dim and tolerances? Can you combine the Main Dim with the Alt dim in a single column, separated with parentheses? (same with tolerance?)
