CorelDRAW X5 :: Printing Text With Outline Errors On Xerox DC242
Jul 13, 2011
Just moving from Draw 12 to X5 - nice improvements.I've had this problem in 12 and also in X5. Could be a print driver issue.
Simply, when I try to print text with an outline the entire page gets filled with the outline color. Outline on objects print fine.I'm printing on my Xerox DC242 with the pcl driver.
I'm trying to print to a xerox colorqube 8570 in black and white from coreldraw graphics suite X5 using Windows7 64 bit. It works in XP. When I select print, preferences, Print quality, Fast color, Color Options, Black & white it prints in color, what xerox drivers I need and how do I set them up? or is it a setting in X5 I need to adjust?
When printing to our Xerox work center 35, I choose 11x17, extents, fit to paper, landscape. The preview shows the entire template page just as i want it. The printout has the left side of template shifted over to the right approx 5.5 inches. It is as if i changed the plot offset 5.5 inches.
Sometimes when applying outline to text, as we increase the outline thickness, certain holes in the text are not being filled up, no matter how thick the outline is.
Is there a solution for this? As I think it's not so nice with holes here and there.
Where did the outline properties go for TEXT in X6, like "Behind Fill" and "Scale with Image."I cannot find how to put an outline behind the text without converting it to curves!
I want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.
Any KB articles or help with printing errors when printing directly from Photoshop to an HP 3600n color laser printer? The one at work prints out pages with a "Kernel error" and the one at home simply doesn't print even though it say it's processing documents. I understand PS conversion is done in software with this printer so it may be an HP problem.
When printing from Photoshop CS3(Version 10.0.1) to a brand new Zebra ZXP Series 3 card printer in Windows 7 32 bit I am getting this: errors:
I went from an XP machine to Windows 7(with a video card plenty of memory) and still the same errors. I updated the Zebra printer drivers and firmware. I can test print from the PC just fine. I even tried CS4 with the same result. The user purchased a license for CS3 so I am troubleshooting with CS3 at this moment. My user is way behind in printing id badges for his Fireman and needs this resolved ASAP. I may have to go with Zebra's Card Studio Software if there is no resolution for this Photoshop issue.
This is a very strange thing that is happening. Half the text on my file is not printing, it's like it's invisible. The strange thing is I received two files from the same person the first one was fine. It odd the first five lines are printing but not the rest of the text. I can re-type the text but I was wondering why it's happening.
I have gone from X13 to X15. With x15 all my text prints grey. This happens with both printers I use. If using x15 and saving as v13 I can open x13 and the job will print correctly. I am working in Windows 7. I think the problem is with a new printer option that does not come up with x13 but is there in x15 and I don't know what to change.
I'm working with CorelDraw X3 and want to fill text into a round shape, while keeping it's exact outline. Hence, cutting of parts of words and letters is fine with me as long as the shape is well-defined. Unfortunately when filling paragraph text into a shape, the automatic line breaks lead to a quite irregular shape regardless of font size.
As workaround I arranged a mask in front of background and text but this requires a square paragraph text which is larger than the background. Since paragraph text obviously cannot be cropped with other objects I made the mask size bigger and filled it white. When exporting my document as image everything looks neat, but there must be a better way to do this in CorelDraw itself?
I tried converting the paragraph text into artistic text and cropping this, which works fine for a few words and a small object. But I'm talking around 1000 words here, and trying to crop this artistic text leads to very random cropping results. I guess such a large number of objects and knots is too much for CorelDraw to handle!?
issues using True Type Fonts when printing some text through CorelDraw x6. Basically I do screen printing, and I have issues printing TTF's... The text when it prints out chops letters/adds spacing where its not needed, and towards the end of the sheet of vellum - starts to print the first letter of word on the left over again...
I haven't had issues printing off of my HP printer, but that broke so I invested in a BROTHER HL-2230 monochrome laser printer.
Okay so I'm having issues with the text tabbing in X6 ,the tabs are set and double checked before it goes out for printing but when its printed some tabs just jump back to the edge. This also happens when the text box is updated(moved or re-sized). We have been having multiple problems with x6 now for a while , we have done the start with factory settings, which has only resolved previous issues temporarily as after a while the problem would reoccur. X5 never had these problems.
I have multipage (16 pages) document with linked frames of paragraph text. Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!
I like to do some freelance Photoshop projects once in a while. Lasts months has been more . Now i made a logo for a restaurant which they want to print as a vinyl sticker for on their windows. I send this logo to the printing company, but they asked me for a seperate outline-file, because the sticker will be contoured cut around the logo. But in Photoshop i cannot seem to find a method to make a outline file.
I've just installed Corel Draw X3 and I'm trying to run a plug-in to control my plotter. The plug-in is not in corel draw where it should be. I think the plug-in is supposed to run through visual basic. If I mouse down to visual basic in corel draw I get an error message that says "Microsoft Visual Basic errors occurred during load. So I'm thinking the problem is with the visual basic program, but it was installed in the corel draw disc. I'm running Windows 7 if that makes any difference.
I'm wanting to create transparent text over a picture with only the outline of the text showing. So basically, I need to only see the stroke of the text and have be picture show thru from behind.
X5 Recently have begun missing parts of print out. Tried to duplicate but appears completely random.
Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
how to create the high-contrasty overly-xeroxed look on an image that we see so much of on tshirts and posters. If anyone of you could share with me the specific steps in Photoshop to create this trick or if you know of a plug-in that does it instantly, please let me know. I've tried using the Threshhold feature in photoshop, but that doesn't quite do it and it makes the image look very sharp and jagged, not smooth.
When Publishing multiple drawings to a Xerox Plotter, only the first sheet prints. Works on the other 3 machines in the office, just not working with the new machine just set up. Can't seem to find anything that would cause this to not print the whole job.
I've been using Paint.net for a few years, but only with .jpg photos. I recently scanned some text as a .jpg and cannot figure out how to correct some spelling errors.
Also, the paper I scanned was far removed from the original, so the white blank areas are full of black artifacts. Is there some way to have Paint.net recognize the actual test so I can have a clean text copy?
I have recived an illustrator file which ontains some text and I have to update the labels on the file but it seems the text has been chnged to Outlines Path. how i can convert them to regular editable text type?
1. Create a document and type some text in a font size, for example I used a 30 points size.
2. Duplicate this layer.
3. Make the text layer it bigger but don't use the Text tool, use Transform. The font size will be shown in the Text panel accordingly. Deselect this layer.
4. If you select the layer or point the Text tool the size will be right (42,66 pt)
5. Select all the text in the layer you just made bigger, the panel will show that text is still 30 points!
I wanted to upload photos to clarify the problem, but the browser disn't allow me to do so, although pics are 450px wide and less than 2.0 MB each.
In the column Description from a I-assembly table I will place the text Test<200. Than I get a error message "Detected potentially damaging errors in the table. Unable to interpret cel: " ". It goes wrong with this symbol <. How do i get this symbol normal as a text in this column?
Before upgrading to 2012 from 2010 (against our will), our publishing tool worked seamlessly with our XEROX 6604. Now, strangely only one user out of seven has the ability to publish a set of drawings without crashing AutoCAD. We are happy that it works on his machine, but it seems very odd that the rest of us are affected when our PCs are the same spec and setup.
All of the proper drivers and firmware are up to date.
New to Corel Draw X5. I recently switched from X4 (on Win XP) to X5 on Win 7. I have over 1000 files I created with a CutPath outline. I open the file - assign the new Cut Path outline I created in X5 (didn't know how to import it from X4) and after a few minutes the cutline turns white and I have to keep re-doing it.
Also, quite often the palette I created disappears and I have to keep opening it up when I open new documents.
I'm using coreldraw to engrave words with my laser machine, which is a Epilog TT24. im trying to get a thick outline on the letters so i can paint it, but so far the only thing my laser engraves is the "hairline" outline even though i tried all the other sizes. How can i get it thicker?
