But where is POSITION, like in previous versions?
I want to create outline inside object.
Behind fill is not what I want.

I am running CorelDraw version 15.2.0.686 with Service Pack 1.
I need to position graphics in exact locations and using the Transformation Position window, especially with Nudge and Super Nudge, is very useful. However, when I zoom in or out, go to another page of the document and back again, or close and re-open the file, many times the H and/or V coordinates shown in the Position window will have changed by one or two units (sometimes more). I can change them back to the correct coordinates but they will change again, and not necessarily by the same amount, when doing any of the actions I mentioned.
It's not that big of an issue when I know the location ends in either a 0 or a 5 and I can move it back to the correct location, but there are times when the graphics are not on a round number and I don't know if it correct or not.
This has been a bug in many versions of Corel (I have been a CorelDraw user since the beginning), but it is happening with every file I work on in X5.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Outline Disappears
Jul 9, 2011New to Corel Draw X5. I recently switched from X4 (on Win XP) to X5 on Win 7. I have over 1000 files I created with a CutPath outline. I open the file - assign the new Cut Path outline I created in X5 (didn't know how to import it from X4) and after a few minutes the cutline turns white and I have to keep re-doing it.
Also, quite often the palette I created disappears and I have to keep opening it up when I open new documents.

Dec 19, 2011I'm using coreldraw to engrave words with my laser machine, which is a Epilog TT24. im trying to get a thick outline on the letters so i can paint it, but so far the only thing my laser engraves is the "hairline" outline even though i tried all the other sizes. How can i get it thicker?

Recently (for a month ?), when I open Corel Photo Paint (by any method), the window opens not in a maximized size, but almost, with the upper border just off screen and the right border barely visible on the far right side of the monitor screen. To relocate the PP window I have to place the cursor on the right window border, click (the cursor changes to the left/right cursor), and slide the window to the left . When I do this, the entire PP window "snaps"downward just enough for me to "grab" the upper right corner (the cursor changes to the diagonal arrows). This doesn't occur with the Draw program.
I have tried opening/closing, resizing with new files, no files, old files, from the Taskbar, from the "exe" program, Start menu, the Open with option, etc. Nothing I do will force the opening window to open in the size/location it was lastly closed in (as I remember it doing). Even using the Ctrl key/Exit, as suggested elsewhere here for another's problem.

Aug 12, 2013i am redrawing an image and used guidelines to insure straight lines. the problem i am having is when i try to put a node on the intersecting lines, it jumps away from where i have placed it. i do not have any of the snap items turned on and am not using a grid in the background. Why will the nodes not go where they are being place? i have been using corel for years and have not had this problem before.

Wasn't this possible in previous versions of Corel Draw?Anyways, I want to achieve the result as shown below. The logical way would be to set position to more than 100, and than to adjust the gradient colors manually to get the look with less curved arch as in gradient on the left side. I think it is obvious why this is very important. I know that there are multiple other ways to achieve this, as you can see that I did (converting to bitmap and crop in this situation in this case), but these are all limited workarounds, and the only "clean" way to do this is as I described.is possible to adjust the gradient in toolbar to more than 100 by mouse dragging it, but it doesn't apply to the object.

Oct 24, 2012Whenever I use a spot color with a black hairline outline and export it as an eps, the colors do not register right. If you select an object after importing the eps, the fill is blank, the outline shows up black, but the color is there.
If you import it into x3, it shows up as shades of grey for all of the objects that had outlines. However, I can import the eps file, remove the outlines, export it as eps again and all the pantone spot colors come through just fine. I -CANT- be the only one with this problem. Yes, I have done some research on it, and yes, I have ghostscript installed.

Here is an image of what I need:
I am having the above laser cut out of acrylic. The laser needs to have everything that is black use a Fill and no Outline. The way it is in the file now, there is no Fill on the circle, but there is a black Outline. If I tell it to have a black Fill and no Outline (like the laser needs) I end up with a solid black circle which the laser will engrave as a solid circle instead of the "ring".
CorelDRAW X5 :: Selecting Unfilled Objected By Outline
Jan 20, 2012In the old version of Corel that I had, when I drew a box with no fill and only an outline the only way to select that box was by clicking on the outline. There use to be an option at the top with the tools to change this option from selecting the unfilled objected by the outline only and not the inside empty part.
I'm now using Corel x5 and cannot find that option. Does it exist?

Anyway, the problem I have, is that the colors of the outlines does not look like the fill with the same name! It is awful when you zoom in and see the differences in Color!

Oct 5, 2012Sometimes when applying outline to text, as we increase the outline thickness, certain holes in the text are not being filled up, no matter how thick the outline is.
Is there a solution for this? As I think it's not so nice with holes here and there.
