Jan 3, 2013I'm getting these errors when exporting a simple file as an EPS.Â

View 5 RepliesI have a simple text file in a formX,YX,YÂ and so on..
What would be the easiest way to convert that into a curve?A curve with node positions as in the text file, connected with straight lines..
I have the problem to export the file either png or jpg to the exact 330x250 px. The thing is it exports to 330x249!! and I cant upload the design. I know how to export because any other sizes work fine e.g. there is no problem in exporting to 331x251 px, but can't export to 330x250.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased CorelDraw X6 because it is a vector based program. I use vector drawings with my CAM software. I checked before purchasing that CorelDraw exported to AI and DXF. I have not been able to export the file to AI or DXF and have the file be in a vector form. When I try loading the AI or DXF file, the file is a bitmap.
What do I have to do to get Corel Draw to export the lines in a vector format that I can use?
I need to export a .SHP file containing some polygons to a GIS user so he can lay the shapes in a GIS map. The data he needs from me is the outlines of several wetlands I've designed in C3D 2010. There isn't any elevation data associated with the outlines. They are just traced waterlines from each pool set into a layer called "permanent pools." He wants these to show location in a GIS plan.Â
When I try to MAPEXPORT, and then selct each of my 10 pool outlines, it says "no object selected" in the command line.Â
I am trying to upload a file for a microstock site that requires an eps file under 8MB. Â As a cdr file, it is under 25KB but when I export the file as an eps it rockets to over 400,000KB.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a .cdr file which I would like to export in a ai file and open it in Photoshop. The ai file opens empty in Photoshop and logo's I made in CorelDraw are not there.
Which settings in the export window do you need to select?
When I usually work with corel, I export my files in .png when I finished working so that I can use them in Power Point or whatever. It was never a problem and still works with most of my files, but I have now one file that simply doesn't want to be converted.
I export it like usual (--> export --> .png) but than in the preview it shows me nothing but an empty bar-like part of the file, so basically nothing. The .png file that is created it empty.
When I draw an image on coreldraw 11, and save it as, or export it to a .plt file, it adds lord knows how many nodes, which creates issues for my plotter. How can I fix this issue? when drawing the images I use as little nodes as possible, but as soon as I export it or import it into artcut it has hundreds more nodes than I put in.

CorelDraw X5 v. 15.2.0.686 Hot Fix 4 - Windows 7-64
Any file I save to pdf takes any lines and makes them very small as in hairline size.
If converted to object they work fine.
I've designed my vector font and exported the first letter as .ttf. in a new Font File.
When exporting the second letter, it asks me if I want to replace the file, and then says CorelDraw has stopped working. I've re-installed X4, but to no avail.
My OS is Vista.

As part of a "kit", I need to export my files to 8 different file types. I've never really checked the .ai file type before as to how it appears. I did, however, tonight and found awful results. When I import my .ai file back in it looks awful. I'll post samples so you can see.... How to fix this on export? (How to upload both files so the one you see below is the result of the .ai export)
When exporting a file to jpeg the dialog box that normally appears and lets you select the quality of the jpeg is not popping up but the files saves but I now have no options in saving the file.Â
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am drawing pictures for the Second life game. I need that the file I export to be exactly 512 X 512 pixel, and TGA format. Of course, the objects in the picture are small, and don't use al the 512X512 space. But even when objects don't use all the space, I need my "small objects within the 512X512 size file.
Although my picture is, in corel draw 512 X 512, when I export to TGAÂ , I have no the good results.I use yhe File/export/menu and define TGA Bitmap for format.Â
On the following menu,
if I click on "Maintain original size", Objects remains with original size, but the file size is reduced to fit around the objects..
If I click on "Maintain aspect ratio",, I can fix the size file to 512X512, , but the objects are streched to fill the 512X512 file.
The only way I found to avoid resizing is adding a 512X512 transparent object on the background, but I wonder if there is a better way to do it.
Is there a way to either save/export a vector file that can not be edited.
I know there are tracing programs available, but I want to make it as hard as can be so this logo will not get re-edited.
I designed it for a customer (belongs to us) they did not contract/pay us for it. We do all of their clothing. She is sponsoring an event and the event coordinator wants the logo to put it on their advertising. Just don't want it to end up on other clothes.
I have a major problem with PhotoPaint X5 after SP2. I have an image of a movie poster from internet. Let's say about 1000x1500 pixels. I make the width 300 px. (height will be 440 or more) Than I make a new document of 300x430 pixels. Copy and paste the first file into the second. Move it up and/or down with the arrow keys to have a good composition. Than I combine the image with the background (shift/control/arrow down) and save it to rest.jpg. When I want to close the original image in CorelPaint I get the Corel A.R.M. window. I tried a few times without combining the image to the background and than I CAN close the file without crashing PP. I'm glad I found a workaround since I do these actions quit a lot for my movie and music database. But it took a lot a time to figure out where it went wrong. So according to my tests it must have something to do with combining the image to the background. Sometime when nudging the image a couple of times up and down crashses PP too when I then combine the image and background. At that point i don't come a far as exporting.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Coral Draw Graphics suite X5 built 15.2.0.686 SP4 (all available updates installed) This is a bug I have detected.
Start a new CorelDrawFile and import a .jpg, after putting e.q. some arrows on it I choose "export" and exports a .tif - file to a folder.
For further manipulations I also save the .cdr - file to another Folder. Insofar everything works well. But if I reopen the .cdr-file and do my manipulations at my picture and then I try to export the .tif - file to the folder, where the before exported .tif is situated, corel well notice that the old file exists and asks for replacement,BUT instead of exporting the .tif - file the .cdr file will be saved. Got this failure reproducible by doing it the same way.
not till I exported a other file type .jpg or any other and switches back to .tif, exporting the .tif file works and the old .tif - file will be replaced by the new one.
I came across an interesting problem. I was using PaintShop Pro to import a RAW image from my camera, then export as a TIF for use in CDGS X6. When I tried to import the file into CorelDRAW or PhotoPaint, I got an error message:
(X) Invalid compress data
I could see a thumbnail image in WIndows, and I could open the file in IrfanView. Re-saving the TIF from IrfanView allowed me to open it in CDGS.
I thought the problem was with PSP, and reported the issue to the product team, but then I tried exporting the same TIF from PhotoPaint (from the same RAW image file), and when I tried to re-open the TIF, I got the same error. So PhotoPaint could not read the TIF exported from... PhotoPaint!
Smaller files don't seem to be an issue, but my camera files are in the neighborhood of 5000x3000 pixels, and the TIF files weigh in at around 50MB.
I am working with a device that can import plt files & it converts that to a tool path in G-Code. Â works like a champ. Â but some data, most text (single line font), is converted two times. Â This makes the tool do the work twice and its pretty inconvenient to manually delete the doubled up G-Code Lines.
I am pretty sure the duplication is done at the Corel export level and not in the translator of the machine. Â I have been working with the export settings with no success.
When I try to export an image I get the error "An error occurred when writing the property "Revision number" to the file". The file still exports but I would like to get rid of this error.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust moving from Draw 12 to X5 - nice improvements.I've had this problem in 12 and also in X5. Could be a print driver issue.
Simply, when I try to print text with an outline the entire page gets filled with the outline color. Outline on objects print fine.I'm printing on my Xerox DC242 with the pcl driver.
I've just installed Corel Draw X3 and I'm trying to run a plug-in to control my plotter. The plug-in is not in corel draw where it should be. I think the plug-in is supposed to run through visual basic. If I mouse down to visual basic in corel draw I get an error message that says "Microsoft Visual Basic errors occurred during load. So I'm thinking the problem is with the visual basic program, but it was installed in the corel draw disc. I'm running Windows 7 if that makes any difference.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe can not open most files. Tiff, PSD, some PDF files will give an "unable to find file error". Jpg files, and certain PDF files and TIFF files that use jpg compression work. I have tried resetting all the settings, changing scratch disks / memory usage, uninstalling all fonts, and reinstalling the application and the problem persists. Also i do not know if this is related but the same time we started having errors in photoshop we also have problems in Microsoft Word. The font list shows a lot of fonts as just a white box. Other apps can use the fonts fine. Just not in word. I have attatched a JPG file with screen caps of the errors.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just created and ran a migrate task using the Autodesk Task Scheduler. I selected several folders and migrated the files from Vault. When the task completed, there were several files that failed. The majority of them had "---Failed at Child" in the log.
Just to see what the problem was, I did a get latest on several of these that failed and then opened them in Inventor. They all opened just fine without any errors at all.
I am also seeing some entries like "xyz.ipt in 12345.iam -- File does not exist. When I opened the iam after the task was complete, there was no errors and it found the xyz.ipt file.
Question is, why does the task scheduler report these in the log, when there is nothing wrong with the files?
Out of the blue I've started receiving the following error when opening any and all Illustrator files out of CS5: The operation cannot complete because of an unknow error. [PARM]
Â
I don't use or create scripts. It doesn't matter how big or small the AI file...always with that error. I can click "OK" and the file appears totally in tact.
My project crashed. I tried reopening it, but from then I've been getting the following error messages. While restarting my system or AE usually works, this time the project wouldn't reopen no matter how I approached this.
Â
Steps I've taken so far:
Â
-Restarting my computer.
-Restarting After Effects
-Importing the .aep file into AfterEffects
-Opening the file on a different computer.
-Trashing preferences and reopening the Project in AfterEffects.
-Opening one of my 5 at a 15 minute interval generated Auto-save files.
Â
All result in the same error.
Â
see attached images to see the error I'm getting.
Â
The final message can't be clicked away and when I click the exit button at the top right of the application the application crashes and prompts me with a default windows error screen.

I can intersect two letters, but the top letter crosses the bottom letter twice: the first instance needs to be over, and the second instance needs to be under. Have tried everything but cannot get it the way I need it.Â
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel since V3. I recently started using X5 instead of V11 for my daily tasks. Overalll when it stays running all works great. But I have had multiple instances of the application just closing without warning on very simple tasks like editing text, moving text, trying to select a drop shadow and moving around toolbar. This instability scares me. One time it close unexpectely it corrupted the file too. I am used to the once in a while crash but this happened multiple times in a couple of days. When you reopen the same file and do the same tasks again no crash.
