Is it possible to create a symmetrical grid in a mesh? without having to manually do each node and intersection? A simple square with just a small shape change to a corner causes non-symmetrical patterns in the entire mesh.
How is the mesh in CD different from AI? Of course there is a lot more online content for AI.
Is there a way to make the mesh fill grid black instead of white? It seems like it use to be black, but now it's white.

I need to tile the mesh so that I can apply each piece to a separate terrain tile in the Unity game engine.I'm working in meters so I guess just importing the mesh and converting to meters on input would set up the mesh extents correctly. The mesh will be square covering the entire world extents.How do I set up a grid and slice the mesh precisely along that grid? Are there any methods in Max, or any scripts? It would also useful if I could scale the mesh in the Y (height) axis to change the span. How to do that?In addition, I need to delete parts of the mesh. The triangles will always be along the same plane- for eg, any triangle on the plane in the pic. Is that possible? I don't mind editing manually, but I'm wondering if there's a more quick way to do it.

In the attached DWG I have used either Extruded or Sweep to create the existing (latitudal?) grid but am not doing well creating the perpindicular grid at the arc drawn below the existing (lat.) grid.

want to translate my vector illustrations to charts for cross stitch kits. Using the grid tool, but the lines aren't equally spaced? I have a 100cm x 100cm document at the moment, with 1 cm making a 'stitch'. I want a grid that is 100cm x 100cm, made up of 1cm x 1cm squares for simplicity. With Autocad .Net Api, I can use GetObjectMesh(DbObject obj, MeshFaceterData parameter). Does in the Inventor Api a similar function exist?
In the parameters I need to set the deviation in the same way as in the Autocad .Net Api.
Example:
FaceterDevNormal = 0.1;
FaceterDevSurface = 0.1;
FaceterMeshType = 2;

When i assign a state the slave mesh moves from it's position far off into the scene but the the state is applied to it. My question is how do i get the slave mesh to stop moving when i create a state and assigning it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to remove a color after it has been applied to a node. Despite the "X" that show up in the color palette, clicking it does not remove the color. The only way to remove a color is to set the node's transparency to 100%, and the color will still show as the node's color in the mesh fill property bar. The color will appear to have been removed, but when clicking on the node again, the color come back.
The bug manifests itself in different ways depending on what color is selected. If the "X" is picked from the color palette floating/docked menu to remove color, nothing happens. Is it is picked from the Mesh Fill color drop down window from the context menu it will temporarily appear int he property bar.
In other object fills, you can select the "X" to remove the fill. I that something one ca't do in a mesh and one needs to color pick the background or set a default color for?
When I went back to work on the Mesh from yesterday, it was filled with white. How do I get back to empty mesh?

I've also experienced unexpected crashes when I work with the mesh tool. In addition, I'm needing to reload pages with Firefox. I use Win XP, it's the easiest to customize for my low vision. My spell check has stopped working.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNever did anything with mesh fill till today. Did some reading on it here over the past few days and did a drawing using only mesh fills, 1 for subject and 1 for background. I spent about 2 hours on it. I'm calling it "Lumpy-Bottle"
Is there a good way to assign grid node coordinates, other then free hand(I couldn't find a display for node coordinates) . Could you use a cad program, that displays a numeric coordinate for nodes to do the bulk of the grid work and tune it up or add different elements to cad drawing or use cad to do this type of drawing. I have a copy of "Turbo Cad" I have not used yet and was wondering how the different programs compared? I was trying to use the drawing grid guide, but the mesh fill grid lays on top of it and is opaque and and I couldn't use it well inside the mesh fill. I guess I could draw a transparent grid guide and lay it on top of the mesh fill, in a separate layer and lock it down

I'm sending a map, and I need a point every 2500 m square. I managed to do manually. I picked a line and divide segments of it with the command point. But I had to use the "copy" in each row of dots and copy down.
The attachment is a map with 32,81 ha ( 328100 m 2). That is, I need 4 points per hectare (10,000 square meters) in total 131 dots ( points )
In short, it is possible, in this map make a grid of points 2500m square from each other?
I'm looking to create this polygon grid, I'm unsure how I'd do this and then fill it to get the same logo as the M3? URL....
