CorelDRAW X6 :: Mesh Node / Can't Remove A Color
Aug 22, 2012I have been unable to remove a color after it has been applied to a node. Despite the "X" that show up in the color palette, clicking it does not remove the color. The only way to remove a color is to set the node's transparency to 100%, and the color will still show as the node's color in the mesh fill property bar. The color will appear to have been removed, but when clicking on the node again, the color come back.
The bug manifests itself in different ways depending on what color is selected. If the "X" is picked from the color palette floating/docked menu to remove color, nothing happens. Is it is picked from the Mesh Fill color drop down window from the context menu it will temporarily appear int he property bar.
In other object fills, you can select the "X" to remove the fill. I that something one ca't do in a mesh and one needs to color pick the background or set a default color for?

Lightroom :: Printing Double Page Spreads
May 19, 2012I need to print double page spreads where a single image spans both pages.And to complicate things I need to print on the Moab pre-drilled paper for my portfolio.Outside of going into Photoshop and cutting the image in two and printing them out. Is there a way to do it in Lightroom?Also is there a way to keep all of the pages with their layouts and images intact for a later time when I would want to print another portfolio?

[Document B]
Document A ends with an even (left) page. Document B starts with an odd (right) page. I want those two pages to merge into a spread when I export to PDF, which simply doesn't happen. I'm left with two single pages instead. I have tried every option under Book Page Numbering Options. All my pages and spreads are allowed to shuffle. I'm working in InDesign CS6. I've wasted two whole days trying to figure out if this is even doable.
InDesign :: How To Maintain Spreads After Moving Pages From One File To Another
Feb 13, 2014I'm consolidating several book chapters into one Indesign file, by way of clicking on the thumbnails on the Pages panel and selecting 'Move Pages...' from the contextual menu.
The problem I'm having is that I can't maintain the page flow between chapters on the destination file, resulting in a broken spread between chapters when exporting to PDF. Here's a screenshot to better illustrate the problem, here seen in between pages 18-19:
I've tried turning on and off the following options on both the source and destination documents but nothing changes:
- Allow Selected Spread To Shuffle
- Allow Document Pages To Shuffle
I've also removed all the sections from the destination document (as you can see on the screenshot, page 19 does not have the little black arrow which denotes a new section), with no luck either.
I also tried dragging the thumbnails manually but to no avail; I just can't figure out how to keep the page spreads between chapters together.

Jul 24, 2011I'm currently sitting with the following problem in CorelDraw 11:
I have four circles, one inside the other, with the circles getting smaller towards the centre. I want the two outer circles to be joined and the two inner circles to be joined. Text will be placed on top of these circles and I want to cut out those sections of the circle which will be covered by the text. The circles will also be filled with different colours. Simply placing the text on top of the 'rings' is not an option as the there are also two logos on the right which cover part of the circle (the part which I want to 'cut' out).
I've tried Combine and the Knife tool but somehow I just don't seem to achieve my goal. This would be a lot easier to explain if I could upload a PDF of the image.

Sep 8, 2013When working in Draw X6, usually on a Mesh Fill, when I go to a menu it is blacked out. I have to close and reload Corel to get to a normal screen. I've also experienced unexpected crashes when I work with the mesh tool. In addition, I'm needing to reload pages with Firefox. I use Win XP, it's the easiest to customize for my low vision. My spell check has stopped working.

Mar 21, 2011I am working on an animated gif, and so with bitmaps, to which I am adding text in Xara.All of the text that I create seems to want to be gray. I have tried changing transparency, I have tried setting my default color, and changing the color of the text.I have also checked to make sure that the text is not set to transparent. If I select the text, and then the transparency tool, it shows "No transparency", and the transparency is set at 0 percent. It is interesting that, if I move the percent transparency above 0 percent and then back down to 0 percent, it changes to "None" in stead of "No transparency". Is "None" the same is "No transparency"?

Apr 11, 2012This is another of those things I knew how to do in PShop and am now trying to duplicate in GIMP. I have a photo of a flowchart drawn in green marker on a whiteboard. Photo taken with an iPhone, so quality is yuck. I brought out the greens with Color Enhance, but now the white board has areas that are yellow on the right and blue on the left.
How to target these "problem colors" and desaturate or otherwise move them back to white?

Aug 22, 2011Never did anything with mesh fill till today. Did some reading on it here over the past few days and did a drawing using only mesh fills, 1 for subject and 1 for background. I spent about 2 hours on it. I'm calling it "Lumpy-Bottle"
Is there a good way to assign grid node coordinates, other then free hand(I couldn't find a display for node coordinates) . Could you use a cad program, that displays a numeric coordinate for nodes to do the bulk of the grid work and tune it up or add different elements to cad drawing or use cad to do this type of drawing. I have a copy of "Turbo Cad" I have not used yet and was wondering how the different programs compared? I was trying to use the drawing grid guide, but the mesh fill grid lays on top of it and is opaque and and I couldn't use it well inside the mesh fill. I guess I could draw a transparent grid guide and lay it on top of the mesh fill, in a separate layer and lock it down
Is there some kind of guide or document on color placement and the relationship to grid line spacing, node placement and node handle angle and length.

Sep 23, 2013I have been emailed the file of a painting by someone (on the other side of the world) who needs me to print some good quality copies of it on my R3880. On one edge of this is a strip titled 'Kodak color control patches' which is to enable me to obtain a good colour match on my reproductions. Any easy to understand click-by-click instructions as to how I use these patches. Also do I need any further software or hardware? I am using Photoshop CS5 with Windows.
