How would I go about restricting text to a certain area?
Like I want to have some text within an area so that I can keep on typing and the text will automatically wrap to the next line when it gets to the edge of the area a bit like how the textarea box on the forum works.
I like Paint.net quite a bit more than Gimp. I do, however, like the Single Window Mode in Gimp, allowing me to tab my windows together, then lock the cluster to the side. It doesn't cover the image, either.

I was just wondering if there is a plug in that would emulate something similar for Paint.net? I can't stand constantly moving my windows around based on the size of my image. It drives me up a wall. Even something to restrict the size of the canvas, so it can't go under the windows would work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have colored in a part of a picture using the magic wand selection tool, then paint bucket. There is still some missed areas So I try to use the paintbrush tool .
However the paintbrush tool isn't applying any color (with me) .
I have been working with Paint.net for a couple of years and have never had this issue before. Suddenly, today, I tried using paint bucket to fill in a square and it filled in the entire image. I don't know if I accidently changed some setting on accident or what. how to make this stop so that the paint bucket only fills in the area I have outlined for it?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.

Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.

When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?
In IV 2011 can text be word wrapped in the defined text area.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using an iMac and Illustrator CC. I created a text area box. I want to place text from an outside Word document into the area box. When I go to File>Place and locate the text file, I click on Place. When I'm returned to my Illustrator CC document, the original area box is deselected and my cursor is loaded and ready for me to drag out a new area box. Shouldn't the placed text fill the original area box?

I endlessly find that I have text line objects which I later wish had been proper text areas (because I want to control the size of their bounding box, for example).
Is there any sensible way to convert a text line object into a text area object - it's a bore to do it by creating a new text object and then cutting and pasting the text, and it is seemingly a trivial thing for the software to do automatically.
Alternatively, is there an option (perhaps a hidden one) to have all text objects created as areas rather than lines?
Is it possible to change the alignment of text within a text area?
By default the text is located top left. Horizontal justification can make this top center or top right, but how about bottom left / center / right or even middle left / center / right?
Is it possible to restrict the move tool only to the X or Y axis?

The .dwg I'm editing was created from a personal Geodatabase by using the 'Export to CAD' tool in ArcGIS 9.3.1 basesd on SDSFIE schema, so maintaining consistent attribute values is imperative.
If I set startup to "1" then at startup, the user is offered four options:
Open a drawing
Start from scratch
Use a template
Use a wizard
How to restrict a length parameter to 6 inch increments using a formula? Or another method? I have a simple frame I want to stretch dynamically in 6 inch intervals.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been using GIMP for a while for basic website stuff. Very basic website stuff. I've recently been asked if GIMP has some more advanced features. Well, advanced put to my usual level of use anyway.
So, I thought I'd query if I could do the following in GIMP...
(1) Edit a BMP but ensure the file size remains the same?
The person asking is using the images for a specific purpose and they always have to be the same size.
(2) Open .pspimages and possibly save back as this format.
The answer to this seems to be no on the opening front anyway.
(3) Restrict the image to a very limited range of colours, say 3-6?
Again this is due to the very specific and restricted nature of the images they are creating.
In the track view window, the Move Keys Horizontal and Vertical Buttons should restrict the movement of keyframes on the horizontal (time) or vertical (value) axis, but do not in my version of 3ds Max 2012 SP1. Work around include using the dope sheet or using the Keys > Slide or Keys > Scale Value menu items.

The thing im trying to do is changeing the color of his jacket (only) but every time I try it changes the color of the whole pictures or something else. With Visibility States there appears to be only 4 options:
Hide for current state.Show for current state.Hide for all statesShow for all states.
I need a 5th option... Do not change visibility when this state is set current.
So, in other words, I'd like to turn objects on or off independently from each other... so lets say I have two sets of objects... I want to toggle on only the 3rd item in set A and only the 5th item set B... but each set would function separately from the other set.
How do you calculate paint area?
We do a lot of chutes (for mining). Â They need to be painted on the outside only. Â They also need to be lined with rubber sheet on the inside. Â The area given in the physical tab in iProperties is the total area.
The area of the edges of the plates are small enough that we can ignore them, but is there a way to calculate half the model's area and get that result in the drawing in a text note?
We've only recently switched over to Inventor (used to be on Solidworks, where we had the same problem).
How I can change the status of a certain area to transparent?
I know, I can change the "Transparency Alpha" in the colour box, but on screen is still displayed the color. Worse, I need a transparent area for an RPG Maker, and this program doesn't take said area as transparent besides the setting in Paint.net.
A year ago I used Paint.Net for a map. I remember that I could select a freeform area by just clicking several dotted/dashed flickering points around the border so the lines were straight afterwards, when the dots were connected again. After that I could fill this area up with a transparant coulour. Now, off course, I can't seem to find how I did it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having some issues trying to live paint whilst in the pattern area of CS6. I have created a pattern which I would now like to colour. I am able to colour some areas like the spots on the plants head, but no ther gaps inbetween. Normally when not in the pattern area I can merge live paint and work with all the spaces but I cant do this for some reason. I need to work with the pattern whislt in this mode to ensure that the design is correct.

Whilst I ma here I am also having a bit of trouble with the oattern swatch. The pattern has been designed for a printed interior wallpaper. In the below image the blue box (follow the green arrow) is the full pattern repeat set at a 1/4 drop. I need that full square rather than a swtach. So effectively I need a 'Tile' that I can then ready for print. The reason for this is that it will be printed on wallpaper (52cm x 10m) and each roll needs to match up either side (with a 1/4 drop)

have been trying to change the color of some skin, by painting with mode in Color and opacity 50%. the problem is that along with the new color, the old texture is replaced! I am using just a brush and sampling very frequently.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have CS5 extended. I know with coral draw I can use a paint bucket to fill an area with a premade pattern and on CS5 I found the pattern stamp tool where I can paint a pattern but is there a way to dump or fill a set area with a pattern? I find when I paint a pattern even the smallest mistake of painting a section twice can lighten or darken the pattern.
