3ds Max Animation :: Restrict Movement Of Keyframes On Horizontal (time) Or Vertical (value) Axis
Jul 16, 2011
In the track view window, the Move Keys Horizontal and Vertical Buttons should restrict the movement of keyframes on the horizontal (time) or vertical (value) axis, but do not in my version of 3ds Max 2012 SP1. Work around include using the dope sheet or using the Keys > Slide or Keys > Scale Value menu items.
Is there a way to restrict a dimension line to only measure vertical or horizontal?
I am trying to put in the vertical dimension from the center of circle "A" to the center of circle "B", however, when I select the center of "A" and move to "B" the dimension flips to Horizontal.
Is there a way to restrict this tool to Horizontal or Vertical?
I am in the process of doing an animation for a PPT presentation. I have several series of images like the one attached which represents a card with some holes in it flat (if you like) on the desktop. I'd like to rotate the image 30 degrees about its vertical axis giving the (isometric) impression that it faces to the right (or left). Is there a functionality in Paint.NET which can achieve this?
I'm using 3D Max Design. I am unable to move an object on the Z axis of the gizmo. When I attempt to do so, a yellow line follows the path of my drag. I can move an object up and down only if I drag by all 3 axis.
Is there a way to restrict tool movement along a single (horizontal or vertical) axis? I'm not talking about moving objects - as I checked and there's a thread for that - but moving those little squares in the corners of a transform tool selection.Example: I want to change the perspective of a picture. I apply the perspective tool and the picture is overlaid with a grid and four corners. I want to be able to pick a corner - say the bottom right one - and move it *only* right or left, without any vertical shift.
I tried with guidelines but I cannot make them stick to the exact side of the image neither if I tell GIMP they're magnetic. But what's worst is that even if I manually put guides along the edge, it seems that the corners of the perspective tool ignore completely the magnetic attribute.
In Photoshop I could simply pick one corner, hold the shift key and restrict movement to the two main axes.
I'm rigging a shoulder pad to a biped and I'd like it to only rotate on one axis. Google hasn't been that useful, and I hope I don't need scripting for this kind of minor thing. I'm rather new to 3Ds Max Design but I'm learning fast and liking it so far!
I've attached what I want to effectively accomplish. I'm looking for a way to lock the z-axis of the object with the upper arm's z-axis.
I made a stupid mistake and started lip-syncing a long piece of animation at 25 FPS instead of 24 which I need to use. I just set it to 24 and it put all of my keys on frames like 10.68 or 54.22, it has become really frustrating to animate with. I was wondering if there's some way to snap these keyframes to solid keys instead of having them on decimals, I don't care if the animation is slightly off, I can fix it later.
Is it possible to rotate an image on its Horizontal Axis in Photoshop, just enough to get more of a side view of the image below. Or would it need another programme to do this.
I'm still animating the ball rolling all over the place and I wonder if theres a shortcut or a script that will let me to select all the keyframes in the current frame, in a graph editor. So I can move them simultaneously! =D Click drag selection becomes a pain after several hours..
when I am trying to extract an element of an image from a larger image (using a layer mask) come across straight sections - but at an angle - at this point it would be nice to be able to put a "ruler" across that section and brush against it for a nice clean line. I tried creating a marquee and using the boundary box to position it - but when I rotate the marquee it wants to take that bit of the image with it...
I have an image of a car. It is going from left to right horizontally. Is there a way to make the image of the car look as if it is coming right at you?
I have a line graph created in Illustrator with years on the horizontal axis (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, etc.). There is data for each year that will be plotted on the line, however I would only like to display every other year (1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, etc.). Is there a way to show every other year on the horizontal axis.
In CS6 when I crop, the crop would automatically be vertical on a vertical pic, and horizontal on a horizontal pic. The new CS7 (Photoshop CC) doesn't do that.
I have downloaded photos from an Iphone 4s to my desktop computer. The photos are horizontal and when I rotate them to vertical and try to save them I get the message " could not complete your request because of a program error". I have no problem doing this with photos from my Canon camera.
This is a pretty basic function in the Graph Editor.
All I want to do is copy some keyframes at one point to farther down the timeline IN the graph editor. Basically, select some keys, move to a new time and paste those same values. When I paste, all it does is add keys to the existing curve. I haven't used maya in awhile (2008 version), but I'm PRETTY sure this function was available. Why doesn't it work in 2011?
I've searched online, I've tried copying, moving to new time, create some keys, select them and then paste over them, but still doesn't work. And yeah, I know about the middle mouse button time slide trick, which is a workaround but doesn't work if you're copying multiple keys over time. I want to be able to do this BASIC function. What's the deal? On a Mac.
The problem is that when I choose or designate an outline thickness, the horizontal is much thicker than the vertical. I need consistency. Especially noticeable if I modify a font, enlarge it, stretch or skew. I do set the outline to scale with image and also don't outline until I am finished with the modifications.
Is there a way in actions or scrip to size a folder of different size horizontal and vertical images at the same time so that the longer edge ( h or V ) is equal - ie - horiz long side 2", shortside whatever on Horizontal - Vert long side 2", shortside whatever on vertical ? at present I am separating H & V and using two different actions .
Alright, I made a custom bookshelf to fit under my stairs, however, when I created them, I made them on a horizontal plane, so when I loaded into my project, my book shelf is laying down in the middle of the living room floor, which was fun at first, but nearly an hour later I am not so amused. Is there a way to flip it vertically or do I have to remake the whole bookshelf?
I would like to know how to draw this pipe as shown in this picture below. Draw a 3d pipe with horizontal curve and vertical curve elements combined. Here are the design elements
for the horizontal curve for the vertical curve radius=30.798m radius=18.000m angle=29deg angle=60deg
The diameter of pipe that i am trying to draw is 5 meters.
So I have been adding in some text over a .jpeg image. Then I am making them into a .dwg file. I have running into a lot of issues with the text though. In the .ai file the text is all horizontal. When I export it however the text turns vertical. I am looking at the file in Autodesk Truview 2014. Just wondering if this is a bug or there is some way to avoid this. I am also using Adobe CS2.
I am trying to create a wheel that can be rotate about the horizontal axis. It should have a hole for axle to fit through. However, when I try to do this it will not let me select the horizontal axis to rotate about. I also tried to rotate about a center line that I created but it wouldn't do that either..
