Illustrator :: How To Show Every Year On The Horizontal Axis
Jan 24, 2013
I have a line graph created in Illustrator with years on the horizontal axis (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, etc.). There is data for each year that will be plotted on the line, however I would only like to display every other year (1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, etc.). Is there a way to show every other year on the horizontal axis.
Is it possible to rotate an image on its Horizontal Axis in Photoshop, just enough to get more of a side view of the image below. Or would it need another programme to do this.
I have an image of a car. It is going from left to right horizontally. Is there a way to make the image of the car look as if it is coming right at you?
I am trying to create a wheel that can be rotate about the horizontal axis. It should have a hole for axle to fit through. However, when I try to do this it will not let me select the horizontal axis to rotate about. I also tried to rotate about a center line that I created but it wouldn't do that either..
Windows 7 64-bit (Service Pack 1) 3.40 GHz Quad Core processor w/ Hyperthreading 8GB Ram ATI Radeon HD 6450 1GB Ram
Trying to change the position of the "elevation" labels on the horizontal axis. They come default as being inside the profile and i want them shown on the outside of the profile box.
In the track view window, the Move Keys Horizontal and Vertical Buttons should restrict the movement of keyframes on the horizontal (time) or vertical (value) axis, but do not in my version of 3ds Max 2012 SP1. Work around include using the dope sheet or using the Keys > Slide or Keys > Scale Value menu items.
I have the bottom axis selected and trying to change my minor tick interval from 5' to 2.5' on the grid in the Horizontal Axes tab, but each time I type in 2.5' my minor horizontal tick intervals disappear. The lowest I can set my interval is to 3.5'. What is causing the interval to disappear? The major tick interval is set to 50' in the Horizontal Axes tab and my Major tick interval is 20' in the Vertical Axes tab with 2.5' for the minor. My Display settings have everything unfrozen and turned on.
In Revit sections, we can add split segment in plan.
How can we show the Horizontal sections in sectional view and how can we split the horizontal section such that the drop is vertical.
I know that one workaround to show vertical drop is to use plan region on the Horizontal Plan View. But is there a better way? If not is autodesk looking forward to incorporate this in further releases?
How do I set the animation graph in Axis FX to show only those parameters that have been modified ? Currently takes me a while to locate the parameters that I want to tweak.
i try to make an animation. I create a cylinder and i want to rotate it by longitudinal axis. i click 'components', select the cylinder and after i click 'position' to select the axis that axis system appears in the right side of the cylinder not in the middle. If i continue whit this settings the cylinder will rotate by a circle not by his longitudinal axis. How can i move that axis sistem in the middle of the cylinder? I can drag it but can't place it exactly in the middle.
I'm rigging a shoulder pad to a biped and I'd like it to only rotate on one axis. Google hasn't been that useful, and I hope I don't need scripting for this kind of minor thing. I'm rather new to 3Ds Max Design but I'm learning fast and liking it so far!
I've attached what I want to effectively accomplish. I'm looking for a way to lock the z-axis of the object with the upper arm's z-axis.
Is there any way I can extract the rotation of a block relative to the yz axis and xy axis. I can extract the insertion point and xy rotation but not the yz and xz.
I'm doing a simple transform action. I want to move an object to a value on the Y axis. First of all, after recording the action, and setting the Y value to 64 px, the action is recorded as 64 pt, not px. This happens regardless of my 'Units' setting. Second, it ADDS the value to the current Y value, instead of just setting the new value, rendering the action useless.
Am I doing something wrong? I don't see a way to specify an absolute value vs a relative one. Is it just a limitation of Actions in Illustrator?
Is there is a way I can create a years wall planner in Corel? I have run the calendar wizard macro in Corel but this is only giving me calendar options. What I want is a year on one page.
What I have is a photo of my grandparents, a century old, it is very dear to my family as it is the only photo of their wedding and we just recently discovered it.
You will be able to view and download the entire file at the following URL (since this site only allows 100kb files):
The goal is outlined in the above link but to recap:
1. Remove greyish / silver color
2. Adjust black color (for example: so that groom's hair shows up as something other than a chunk of dark color).
I have created two images that have gradients applied to them and want to join them together with the gradients.I can't stretch the image because the lighter gradient follows and I just want that on the outside edges of both as shown in the image.
In effect - i want to take a small slice of the darker gradient and continue it on the x-axis to the other image without distorting the gradient effects.
So I have been adding in some text over a .jpeg image. Then I am making them into a .dwg file. I have running into a lot of issues with the text though. In the .ai file the text is all horizontal. When I export it however the text turns vertical. I am looking at the file in Autodesk Truview 2014. Just wondering if this is a bug or there is some way to avoid this. I am also using Adobe CS2.
I am creating some comps with months of the year and need to space them out. I could create each month on its own layer and space them with the group tool. Is their another way around this?
My computer crashed with lightroom open and when i opened it up the catalog had reverted to a year or so ago's pictures, so i looked at the catalog file sure enough there was a corrupted catalog file, so i deleted the locked one, like you're supposed to do, but the catalog still has the wrong pictures. I can do it the hard way and just re-import all the pictures, but i'd like to have the ones i had with my edits on them and not have to go through them all again.
I like to organize my photos by date. When I import my photos through lightroom 5, I specify in the metadata to organize by date, (in which it is listed correctly) and choose the destination folder. However, once I perform the import, it creates a completely separate folder under the year "2012". How can I fix this problem to import under the correct file dates?
It seems as though the axes in my Illustrator CS4 installation are rotated. Whenever I create a new object, the new object is rotated about -5.2º. When constraining the rotation of objects, the rotation is never square to the document edge. How do I fix this?
I'm getting a mysterious problem when trying to work with Illustrator files that, I think, were exported from arcGIS. The problem is that when I open the exported file in Illustrator, I get "horizontal transparent bars" that don't let me edit the layers. Perhaps the file is being exported from arcGIS as RGB?
I moved an object I was creating to the artboard. In doing so, it reveals pink & red vertical lines around all the elements within the object. Each line section has a mini pink or red box with a number at the top corner and what looks like a histogram? What is this information and how do I remove it?
