Paint.NET :: Remove Lines From Scans Of Lined Paper?
Feb 25, 2011Is there any way to remove the blue lines from scanned drawings that were drawn on notebook paper? I can't seem to figure this one out at all.

View 4 RepliesI use the vanilla app and do vanilla things. Lately I have been interested in using some turn of the century public domain line illustrations, but often they are found with yellow backgrounds from the old paper.
I can knock the blotchy yellow out with levels and such, but I think there is probably a way to remove it instead of washing it out. I see that there are a few plug ins out there that might do the job, but I don't know if they are updated to work with the newest program on a 64 bit Win 7 machine.
Bonus question: Since some of the drawings are not the best quality, so vectorizing them has potential. I have played around with the trace bitmap tool on Inkscape and it is cool, but is it the best way? Is there a way to clean up a raster image without manually doing cleanup, or a plug in that lets it scale up?
I intend to make a signature to be inserted in digital documents. I signed in a paper and scanned that. The resulting image (attached) has a "paper color/texture" background I would like to remove, maintaining the blue ink from pen and black ink from computer character.

Because the book is old and rather special, the scans of the spreads show the distinct spine. Is there a simple way in Photoshop to mask this issue?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI think thats what there called but it's starting to get very annoying having these things come up when i try and combine double spreads.
All just post the photo if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I want to copy a black and white photo which was printed (old original 'wet' method) on matte paper. When I scan it the scanned image has thin white vertical stripes through all the dark areas of the photo. I have located a method of removing them using Photoshop (using layers etc) but cannot duplicate those 'instructions' using PSP X2.
how I can remove these thin stripes (they make the photo look like everyone one is wearing pin striped clothing).
When I print out the InDesign file, there is always white edges on the paper, how can I remove them?

I've found various tutorials showing ways to create fold lines using thegradient tools (i.e putting black/white to create fold) and others that use an overlay of crinkled image and making opaque.Neither of these produce effects like the ones attached.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWorking in acad2011, I have a 3D model and i did flatshot. The obscured lines I chose to be - - - - - (ISO02W100). Now i have to annotate and get my paper layout rdy for printing.
Questions:
1. Is there a way of scaling lines that make up my flatshot image in model space?
2. How can i scale the lines in paper space?
The - - - - - lines just don't seem right in my paper space.
I have got a large drawing with multiple viewports and some layers that are shown in model space won't show when I access model space from paper space (through the viewport). I have had a look at the layer manager through the viewport and everything is switched on, there is no viewport freeze activated but still I can't see the lines in the viewport in paper space (either in model or paperthrough the template).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using AC 2011LT on a PC Every time I print to PDF or printer a line appears which is not visible on the model or paper space. It is even not visible when I preview the print before printing (again from model or paper). And on different layouts the line moves and sometimes doubles.
I have done all the regular things - all layers on, all unfrozen, all visible, etc, I've purged, regened, made a save as file, gone to another persons computer but still the same problem.
One more thing that is pretty annoying. I'm working in webdesign and have to work with lines to make designs.
1. There is no chance to scale 1px line to be 2px
2. You cant make from 10px height object 1px line.
From 1px line always staying 1px.
From more than 1px you can make only 2px line not 1px.
Thing happening from X3 to newest X6.
Small things but making my work a bit longer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy digital camera takes pictures with lines across the picture is there any good way to remove them???
These were originally straight lines but I applied a transformation on the picture to make the picture frame I took a picture of a perfect rectangle...
The first problem I've encountered... is I can't even draw a circle or curve with Photoshop, because there is ALWAYS a straight edge somewhere!
When I am moving the brush tool directly left, right, up or down - I can make a perfectly straight line. But when I move it in an arc shape for example, it's like it's always trying to go back into a straight line instead of just cuuuuuurve...
Know what I mean? I am no noob to computers, I think it may have something to do with pixels being squares... But the thing is, I see a lot of paintings done in Photoshop that look so photo-realistic, perfect curvature and stuff. So there is a way!
I'm trying to make a "gag" gift for a friend.. his face on a fake $25 canadian bill. I'm doing this by changing a $20 bill. If you look at the Queen's photo, it's not a photo at all, but her image made out of simple lines. Instead of just pasting his photo over the Queen, I'd like to create that same effect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a couple of dynamic blocks for profiled window surrounds for both a square top window and arched window. I have accomplished the square top window, but creating the arch top has proven quite difficult.
What I need is roughly the same setup as the square top, using the XY parameter set and entering the width and height so the window stretches accordingly, however on the arch top, I am needing to add a parameter to enter the "chord" dimension. I basically need another user imput parameter to facilitate the peak of the inside radius (currently shown at 4'0-5/8") in the attached drawing bordered by "DYNAMIC BLOCKS." I am not sure on which parameter to add to stretch the arch at the designated "arrow." and even once that is figured, how to make the arches that are stacked above it to stretch properly. I added Horizontal Dim constraints which seemed to work, however upon further review once stretched, the outer arch doesnt stretch properly (Review Example 1). It is supposed to be like "2" and "3". Basically as you offset the inside pline out 6" the intersection is supposed to adjust and not stay stationary.
Also on a side note, I added vertical constraints and Dim Vertical Constraints to the "legs" of the window profile because as the inside arch was stretched the legs would not produce logical results.

My boss came to me with a max question and its been a while since ive used max. he has a single diagonal line on the face of every solid in his model. I tried every fix i know and nothing worked.
then we found a site and the fix worked after reboot, for all of 5 minutes and the it went back. He is using XP based pc with MAX7.
How to put a lined page border around my page. In MS WORD it is very straight forward but I must be missing the obvious here though my 15 year old daughter can't work it out either which makes her old dad feel a little bit better about it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to create three bordered/round-corner boxes (containers) for text, across a web page. But I'd like them not to just be flat in a row. My idea is to put the text in each three in-a-row boxes and them somehow turn the boxes(containers) out slightly like loovers (like vertical window blinds), so they look a little more interesting. The text wouldn't then be viewed straight-on but look like it's at an angle because of the loovered containers that the text is in.
