Paint.NET :: How To Designate The Size Of The Circles
Jan 14, 2012
I am trying to use the tool for drawing a filled-in circle with a colored border to add a series of circles to a map for use in identifying specific stops on a tour. I cannot, to save my life, figure out how to designate the size of the circles. Instead, the only thing I can figure out to do is use my mouse to click, hold, and drag until the pixel dimensions on the screen show exactly the size I am aiming for.
The problem is that I am trying to hit exactly 30x30 pixels. Either my hand is not steady enough or the mouse is too sensitive, but it is taking forever to try to hit precisely the right size. Is there any way to simply click the point where I would normally begin dragging to draw the circle and then just type in the dimensions on my keyboard?
I am trying to create pre-determined sized round graphics for a project that wil be printed out as a sheet & cut for use.
I can get the images to the circle shape, no problem...but the issue is determining the correct size of the circles to be cut. Let's say that I need them to be exactly 1.25", 1"...etc.
Is there a way to create a template sheet of such sizes, then apply the images to be cropped to those pre-determined sizes?
Unfortunately I do not have Illustrator, but I suppose I could open the images in CorelDraw to accomplish this. Haven't tried it yet.
Just wondering if there is a way to do this in Photoshop!
I am trying to make 2 different size cirlces into to on Solid object. One circle is 20 in diameter and the other is 50 in diameter. I was wondering what the command was.
On the bottom of this page, there is a script to select objects based on fill color.
so that it deselects the circles of 1mm in diameter?
I have a group of objects and 1mm circles and I wish to export all but those circles. So I select the group and then I need to start some script that will cyclethrough all selected objects, check if it is a circle of 1mm in diameter - and deselect it.
Any way to change the size of the circles that I made so that they all enlarge yet keep their respected positions. So for the example below, I would like to just enlarge the circles and not the rest. If I select all the circles and drag them to enlarge, they lose their position. Is there a way to do this? This script [URL] ...... doesn't work for x6 but I think it is what I might need, correct?
I would like to create a family crest. I have a JPG for the center, but I need two concentric circles, with text around the circumference, between the circles.
I'm trying to make a logo. Circular logo with an inner ring maybe 4 px wide and 15 px inside the rim of the outer circle.
Basically I want a blue circle with a yellow inside ring. What's the best way of doing this? The only thing i can think of is: creating a blue circle marquee, and then another (trying to estimate a new circle size and change the color) that is yellow, and then making another smaller blue circle inside the new one. That's just ugly.
I tried the edit/stroke but that just gave me a stroke around the outer circle; it didn't put a ring inside the circle 15 px down.
Also I tried to contract the original circle by selecting it, then Modify/contract. That's got me a selected ring, inside the circle. Now how in the world do I make that little ring yellow? It just remains selected and I can't seem to find a way to color it.
I have a complex shape will lots of gaps, nad in those gaps is a layer that is colored orange. Is there a way to designate that all spaces with orange should appear transparent when saving as png?
I cannot just delete the orange because it is convering things from other layers beneath which I cannot simply delete.
At our office We use alignments to designate the pipeline. At our pi.'s or points of intersection We have the autocrat _wipeout circle. It works fine in c3d 2011, but for some reason when We take them into c3d 2012 the wipeout circle goes under the red line instead of above. We have checked through the properties and can not find a display order. Otherwise We are currently inserting a wipeout circle and having to place on At every intersection.
I`ve made a correspondence analysis in excel and want to get a scatter plot as .eps-file. I`ve imported the X and Y values in Illustrator and created a scatter plot. Now I would like to represent the numbers of data points (like in the illustration below).
can a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?
1) I'm unable to designate an internal drive as a scratch disc (non boot drive). Drive is clean, empty, I've chkdsk'd, permissions set to full, I can read and write files on it, and I'm able to designate it as scratch for Illustrator but PS6 doesn't like it. Says I don't have access.
2) I upgraded to PS6 extended (cloud) and after a week it now hangs during startup at loading Nik Color Efex Pro 4 plugin. Hangs for about 3 minutes before continuing.
I made orange letters in a font sized 142. But when I made a new layer and then made white letters to put on top of the orange ones--I also use font size 142, but it was smaller than the orange font. So I couldn't put it one top of the other letters for the 3-D look.
It's close, but not quite close enough to fit as it should. Do the differing colors make a difference in how the font of the same size is different? Or is it using different layers?
I've been using PSP for a long time now (fisrtly PSP7 and now PSP9) and I wanted to buy the new version PSPX4. I downloaded the free-trial version and I saw that it is impossible to generate files bigger than 10'000x10'000 pixels. In the canvas size menu, it's impossible to give a higher number. The problem is that a made bigger files with PSP9 and I'd like to keep on working on it without resizing them.
So my question is : Is it only a limitation of the trial version or is it simply impossible to work with bigger images than 10k x 10k ? I hope there is a simple solution because PSP9 encounters some problems with Win7...
I want to change the size of a image for instance image size 6"x4" I would like to change this to 3"x3" or 4"x4" without distorting the image. It is easy to do this in paint.net
I need to increase a few images that are low MB (they vary from 2.51KB to. 4.78KB) to between 1 to 30 MB. Is this possible from this program ? How would do this?
I like Paint.net quite a bit more than Gimp. I do, however, like the Single Window Mode in Gimp, allowing me to tab my windows together, then lock the cluster to the side. It doesn't cover the image, either.
I was just wondering if there is a plug in that would emulate something similar for Paint.net? I can't stand constantly moving my windows around based on the size of my image. It drives me up a wall. Even something to restrict the size of the canvas, so it can't go under the windows would work.
When I put orange gabriola font, 144 size, Bold effect on a canvas--and then try to make it 3-D by adding white. The white is smaller --not the same size as the orange--yet everything else is the same!
I tried measuring them together by putting the white behind the orange (it is smaller!) by going back to a file I'd resized before making the white (in case I did) --same thing. Made new layer, duplicate layer, put the active layer below, above..nothing would make them the same size!
Not that the actual letters are so badly different is size, but the spacing appears to be wider in the orange than in the white--which means that the white doesn't fit on the orange.
I need to get my manuscript published. And after all I've had to do to learn to get as far as I have, I sure don't feel like having to repeat if for one contrary white font!
I'm trying to design and create an A2 size poster and my physical memory is off the charts is there a way of creating the design small and resizing the canvas when I'm finished or is it just impossible to create a poster this size on my laptop?
I have started using paint today , how I can increase the pixel size when printing for a better quality impression?
I have started scanning photos and directly loaded photos onto my computer, but can only print "600 pixels, not good quality. My printer generally photocopies and prints good quality photos.
I've only used it for a few months and yes i LOVE it i even use it for assessments. but is there a way to set the a4 canvas size to my default because it really bugs me that i need to change it when i realize my images are too big.
