View 4 RepliesI've been trying to print full bleed images to 3880 epson printer from LR 4.1 and for some reason won't let me make 8.5 x11 borderless prints to printer. both the left and right side of image has white borders and top and bottom has none.
both page grids sides go as low as 1 and cell size reads properly of 11.00in x 8.50in. but when you look at image in print mode in LR- it shows white borders on both sides of picture.
been on phone for 3 hrs with adobe and 30 min with epson tech to no avail?
I have a document which is sized for full bleed printing. I would also like to make PDF prints of this document, but if I simply print, then everything will be off by a little. Is there a non-destructive way to 'crop' the document back to the paper size?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 issues to deal with. I have a poster I've created in 11x17 but I want to make sure that I get a full bleed when I send it over to the print shop, how would I do this?
issue#2: I will need to reduce the size of the 11x17 to a 5.6in width 7in height. How do I do this? The reason for the size reduction is because I need it for newspaper printing so I need to make sure to keep my 11x17.
Can you set a bleed to get rid of the paper margin or do you have to make the image size larger than the size you want and trim once printed?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I set a margin with the Print module (Lr v3), does it also include the "page bleed" dimension the printer requires for properly printing the bottom of the page?
The problem I'm having is with printing landscape prints and the left & right margins not being equal. I cannot find anything about the page bleed dimensions for my HP B9180 printer and maybe it varies a bit (1mm?) from one B9180 to another(?) In any case, is there a systematic approach for determining the page bleed for a printer? I imagine the only way to accommodate for the asymetry is to account for it in top/bottom margins, correct(?)
Our supplier sent us some wierd size pdfs that are not full size or half size. I am trying to resize them to full size pdfs (Arch D) but am unable to figure this out in Acrobat.
My work-around is to insert them in AutoCAD and scale them based on known dimensions, then print to pdf. Unfortunately the resulting file is collosal and the quality degraded.
I am trying to use the tool for drawing a filled-in circle with a colored border to add a series of circles to a map for use in identifying specific stops on a tour. I cannot, to save my life, figure out how to designate the size of the circles. Instead, the only thing I can figure out to do is use my mouse to click, hold, and drag until the pixel dimensions on the screen show exactly the size I am aiming for.
The problem is that I am trying to hit exactly 30x30 pixels. Either my hand is not steady enough or the mouse is too sensitive, but it is taking forever to try to hit precisely the right size. Is there any way to simply click the point where I would normally begin dragging to draw the circle and then just type in the dimensions on my keyboard?
I cannot see the full spectrum of my document size in print preview. I have my document setup as 8ft. X 5 ft.
But when i try to see it in print preview it only shows my document between 3 1/2 ft. to 4 1/2 ft.
Was printing 4x6" from LR 5.3 fine. To an Epson 3880. Then went to Page Settings (MAC) changed paper size to 8.5x11". The preview responded with a larger page. I scaled the image up to 8x10 via lightroom cell size. But when I printed to the Letter size paper, LR printed only a close to 4x6" top left corner. This was not a full image like the 4x6. It was just a corner.
Exported to PS and printed fine. Can not figure why the print will not print the full image?
.I've just finished a poster and I need to send it over to the printer in jpeg format. I would like them to have a full bleed on the poster, how do I achieve this? I
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to uncheck papersize ISO full bleed B1 in DWG to PDF.pc3 in filter papersizes in AutoCAD 2010. All other papersizes can be unchecked just fine.
I am cleaning it all up because the huge amount of printers and plotters, and all of their papersizes, makes it difficult for the people here to find the right choice to plot.
I would like to be able to uncheck this papersize too and have it all working well. I read this is a bug.
Why I cannot remove the ISO b1 full bleed from this plot config file?
I never print metric so there is no need to for it.
If I print near the top margin of an A3 sized paper, only the Excel text won't appear, but everything else will.
I included a zip file with some pictures as well as a camera shot of the problem after printing.

I am using InDesign CS5 and Photoshop CS5 and have scanned full color illustrations into Photoshop. I am preparing 7x10 saddle stitch and casebound books with the illustrations which need at a 1/8" bleed area. My problem is the illustrations have key elements right up to the edge of them. I need to add complementary colors to fill in the bleed area around them so I don't lose any of the originals. What is the best way to do this? Also, I need to copy colors from the illustrations and make separate pages of the colors to import into InDesign. What is the best method to do this? The colored pages will be the background with story text on them and reside opposite to the illustrations.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought and installed Lightroom 5 and need to set my print size to A3 and in the future even bigger. I do not have the facility at home and need to have them sized correctly for the print shop so they do not have to waste time resizing them. I am at a loss how to do this. I cant find any settings for this size print. A3 is roughly 42 x 29.7 cm.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI imported some RAW files into Lightroom 4, which I then copied/converted to DNG, then edited them. I now want to export them as full size, high-quality jpegs but I only seem to be able to export them at a maximum of about 800kb, which is far lower than full-size. Is this to do with first the conversion to DNG from RAW on the import? Am I best copying them from raw and not converting them to DNG at all? Next question is, will I have to import the original RAWs again and re-edit them to be able to export as full-size high quality jpegs or is there some way to not have to do them again?

I use CS4 and when working in Illustrator ( and later taking into a book in InDesign) how do I maintain custom page size with bleed in Illustrator when saving as PDF . I have been told my files are not print ready and have no bleed even though I set a bleed and accurate (custom)page size initially. It seems I lose these when I save as a PDF for Printers to use.

I'm trying to extend the edges of a number of images to give myself extra bleed room for print. The images have bits that are a little too near the edge and I need more room. The effect I'm looking for is repeating the final edge row of pixels for 1/8 of an inch beyond the original image on all side.
The obvious solution, manually repeating the row of pixels is too time consuming for the number of images I need to format.
The solution would have been simple if the imbeciles at adobe hadn't moved the "extend edges" option to the Oh-So-Useful auto lens correction tab in the lens correction filter. (how I HATE thee, Adobe)... Alas, I'm using CS5 and need an alternative solution.
I'm having trouble making a custom size print, in LR4.

i wanted to print a few 35x45mm images on DIN A4 paper.
images dimensions are correct (35x45mm 360 DPI) and it prints as 35x45mm images when i use photoshop.
when i use LR and i set the cell size to 35x45mm the prints come out to small by a couple of millimeters.
LR has not so many print settings i could have messed up.. right?
I'm trying to lay out an 8x10 cell in LR5. My page is a custom package and set up as an 8.5x11 sheet . When I click to add an 8x10 cell, I only get a cell that is ~ 8x8 and I have to drag the bottom down to 10".

I used Lr 3.6 to create custom (4 identical) photos to print on Kodak 210x297 mm (A4) glossy paper, using an HP 309a Photo-smart Premium inkjet printer. The size on the computer screen looks correct, in that the 4 pictures take up the whole A4 sheet. However, when I print, only one quarter of the photo paper is used, -ie., the 4 prints are all in one corner, and each print is like a tiny thumbnail. I have tried to vary the way I set this up by using different templates but nothing I do works at all, and I'm just wasting more and more paper.
