I have a complex shape will lots of gaps, nad in those gaps is a layer that is colored orange. Is there a way to designate that all spaces with orange should appear transparent when saving as png?
I cannot just delete the orange because it is convering things from other layers beneath which I cannot simply delete.
I have a self designed logo that looks great on a white background. Problem is when I put the logo over a picture the outside area of the "o" in natco shows behond the red square. I want the outside of the "o" to be flush with the red square so it looks good when I put it over a picture.

I know, I can change the "Transparency Alpha" in the colour box, but on screen is still displayed the color. Worse, I need a transparent area for an RPG Maker, and this program doesn't take said area as transparent besides the setting in Paint.net.
A year ago I used Paint.Net for a map. I remember that I could select a freeform area by just clicking several dotted/dashed flickering points around the border so the lines were straight afterwards, when the dots were connected again. After that I could fill this area up with a transparant coulour. Now, off course, I can't seem to find how I did it.

I don't believe there is, since the image data is lost, and I had to delete all the layers except for one, to reduce the file size.
I have selected a Layer in Gimp and I have a certain selection inside the Layer.
Now I click on tool "Bucket Fill", Mode=Normal, Fill Type=FG Color Fill, Affacted Area=Fill Whole Selection.
Opacity is 100%
The FG color is black.
But when I click into the selected area it gets filled with a transparent black! When I click again it gets more opaque and after another click its fully opaque black.
But why does Gimp fill the area transparent after I first clicked even though Opacity is 100.0??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the tool for drawing a filled-in circle with a colored border to add a series of circles to a map for use in identifying specific stops on a tour. I cannot, to save my life, figure out how to designate the size of the circles. Instead, the only thing I can figure out to do is use my mouse to click, hold, and drag until the pixel dimensions on the screen show exactly the size I am aiming for.
The problem is that I am trying to hit exactly 30x30 pixels. Either my hand is not steady enough or the mouse is too sensitive, but it is taking forever to try to hit precisely the right size. Is there any way to simply click the point where I would normally begin dragging to draw the circle and then just type in the dimensions on my keyboard?
Un-purgable blocks? Is there some way to designate a block within a drawing so that it canNOT be purged even if it is not being used at the moment?

At our office We use alignments to designate the pipeline. At our pi.'s or points of intersection We have the autocrat _wipeout circle. It works fine in c3d 2011, but for some reason when We take them into c3d 2012 the wipeout circle goes under the red line instead of above. We have checked through the properties and can not find a display order. Otherwise We are currently inserting a wipeout circle and having to place on At every intersection.

Drive is clean, empty, I've chkdsk'd, permissions set to full, I can read and write files on it, and I'm able to designate it as scratch for Illustrator but PS6 doesn't like it. 2) I upgraded to PS6 extended (cloud) and after a week it now hangs during startup at loading Nik Color Efex Pro 4 plugin. Hangs for about 3 minutes before continuing.
I am using the attribute to define hot spots on an image map. When I save the file for web, the alt value is empty and there is no easy way to identify which area is ahich in the html code.
How can I enter a value for alt in Illustrator?

How to protect some area in the Illustrator from changes? Like Photoshop does.
What I mean is: In the Photoshop I can select some area with Selection tool, let's say a rectangle. Then I can edit that area without a risk to harm any pixels outside it. I can apply any filter to it (blur, etc.), I can fill it with some colour or pattern. And the area outside the selection will be unchanged.
I can not find any way in the Illustrator to do the same or even a similar thing! I can isolate some object or group. but I can not isolate an area/region.
Within a AI file, is it possible to define/reserve an area for a layer such that whenever i drag n drop any item in that area, the item is added to that layer, irrespective of which layer is selected in layers panel.

Not using the scale tool where you have to enter percentages, but using a keystroke. In Quark, you can do this by holding down Command + Shift and dragging the box. I want to be able to keep the part of the line that intersects with the text, and leave the text intact. All of the "Pathfinder" modes seem to either not keep the intersecting part, or delete the rest of the text also. Is there something I'm missing?

All I'm changing is the: Category Axis, deslecting the "Draw tick marks between labels" and on the Value Axis, I'm using the Override Calculated Values and changing them to Min: 0, Max: 40, Divisions 9, currently the number range from 0 to 1,500,000.
Can't set the graph style. The requested transformation would make some objects extend beyond the addressable area.I can make the changes I want if I want to ungroup the graph, but then I'll lose the connection to the data, type, etc.
I'm trying to rotate text inside an text area type.That is, rotate the text (so its e.g. 30 degrees going across the screen), but the area it is within does not rotate.
Everything I try when rotating rotates the entire area + the text in side, which makes the positioning of the shape my text is in wrong.I am after being able to change the inside text angle and content whenever needed.
I can't get my document to save a PDF with the bleed area, it shows the cropmarks but not bleed area. Also in my Object tab I do not have the option of Crop area.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having some issues trying to live paint whilst in the pattern area of CS6. I have created a pattern which I would now like to colour. I am able to colour some areas like the spots on the plants head, but no ther gaps inbetween. Normally when not in the pattern area I can merge live paint and work with all the spaces but I cant do this for some reason. I need to work with the pattern whislt in this mode to ensure that the design is correct.
"The selection contains objects that cannot be converted. Live Paint groups can only contain paths and compound paths. Clipping paths are not allowed."
Whilst I ma here I am also having a bit of trouble with the oattern swatch. The pattern has been designed for a printed interior wallpaper. In the below image the blue box (follow the green arrow) is the full pattern repeat set at a 1/4 drop. I need that full square rather than a swtach. So effectively I need a 'Tile' that I can then ready for print. The reason for this is that it will be printed on wallpaper (52cm x 10m) and each roll needs to match up either side (with a 1/4 drop)
is it possible to 'grab' the pattern in the blue square?
