View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the tool for drawing a filled-in circle with a colored border to add a series of circles to a map for use in identifying specific stops on a tour. I cannot, to save my life, figure out how to designate the size of the circles. Instead, the only thing I can figure out to do is use my mouse to click, hold, and drag until the pixel dimensions on the screen show exactly the size I am aiming for.
The problem is that I am trying to hit exactly 30x30 pixels. Either my hand is not steady enough or the mouse is too sensitive, but it is taking forever to try to hit precisely the right size. Is there any way to simply click the point where I would normally begin dragging to draw the circle and then just type in the dimensions on my keyboard?
I want to resize a photo into a circle.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe circle tool, in the standard paint.net tool set, anchors the a circle at the corners of the circle's "bounding box".
So when you want to draw a circle around a certain point - you have to center the circle yourself
I want to have the circles anchored to the point that I start the drag (centered at the point I hold down the mouse to start the drag).
If you imagine wanting to drawn a target (concentric circles) - you'll get the idea.
I cannot see a way to do this automatically in paint.net.
I would like to create a family crest. I have a JPG for the center, but I need two concentric circles, with text around the circumference, between the circles.

View 1 Replies View Relatedit's going to be a texture, made for a game, that's overlaid over a model's normal textures, semi-transparent, and it's supposed to represent structures and units being under construction. My task is this; a cloudy greenish texture that will tessellate, with a white or light grey pattern of circuitry. Because alien races are involved, the circuitry should have a hexagonal pattern.
My first undertaking was to make a hexagon pattern that would tile. Easy. Next, to make a cloudy green background. Heck, filters can do that.
I have a solid hex pattern, but the end result has to be is a pattern of wires that follows a hexagonal pattern. So I tried simply erasing parts of the pattern, leaving only wires. I tried making fractions of hex patterns to piece together. I tried making shapes to mask-out various parts of the hex pattern.
No matter what I do, I can't seem to find a way to do this that can be accomplished without tons of drudgery, and there isn't any way I know of to get photoshop to snap to 60 degree angles. I also had the idea of making one layer all the horizontal lines that were involved, another layer all the top-left to bottom-right diagonal lines and etc, to make it very easy to isolate and erase the ones I wanted; but I can't figure out any easy way to do that, either.
I have to make several other patterns of circuitry based on other nonstandard, 'alien-ish' designs, too. If I can find a way to expedite this, it'll expedite those other pieces of work, too. (Not to mention teach me something cool.)
How to draw something like this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe use C3D 2012 (metric only) - We are attempting to customize our list of structures for Sanitary Sewers. The structure list shows sizes we do not use and we would like to modify them. However, when we try to select the "Inner Diameter" it displays a list of sizes that we can not seem to modify or add to.
I have looked at some of the XML files to try and modify or add new sizes (example: AeccStructConcentricCylinder_Metric.xml) , but they do not seem to be recognized even after I restart the program.
Here is what the file looks like:
<ColumnConstList desc="Inner Structure Diameter" dataType="float" unit="mm" name="SID" id="CCL1" visible="1" context="StructInnerDiameter" index="0">

1200.0000

1350.0000

1500.0000

1800.0000

2050.0000

2300.0000

2550.0000

I tried modifying the last line replacing 2550 with 3600.
I also tried adding a line
3600.0000

I saved the XML file and restarted the program with nothing changing that I can see.
Looking for correct file(s) to edit so I can modify the LISTS that come up in the piping modules.
One good thing about null structures is the way they display in 3D. They cover that gap in the pipe segments. Can I steal that shape?
I am currently using a simple cylinder for water pipe "joints" and turning it off like most people do I think.
I'm trying to make a logo. Circular logo with an inner ring maybe 4 px wide and 15 px inside the rim of the outer circle.
Basically I want a blue circle with a yellow inside ring. What's the best way of doing this? The only thing i can think of is: creating a blue circle marquee, and then another (trying to estimate a new circle size and change the color) that is yellow, and then making another smaller blue circle inside the new one. That's just ugly.
I tried the edit/stroke but that just gave me a stroke around the outer circle; it didn't put a ring inside the circle 15 px down.
Also I tried to contract the original circle by selecting it, then Modify/contract. That's got me a selected ring, inside the circle. Now how in the world do I make that little ring yellow? It just remains selected and I can't seem to find a way to color it.
I have drawn a pipe network with multiple concentric sturctures. I need to make them all eccentric now. Is there an easy quick way to do this, or do I have to redraw all of them. When I go to the properties, I cannot find an option that allows me to change this.

As I can see on the picture for me the two circles are overlapping, so one of them is over the other. But on the guide I can see all the lines so in whole also that circle, which is under of the second.
what is the way to draw these two circles that both has all the lines?

As attached really.
I need it so they all overlap in the same direction.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to create the circle look going around a video (screen shot from someone elses video below.) I've tried creating scanlines and using the Polar Coordinates filter, but with no luck. All I'm looking to do is duplicate the repeating circles they've created, and then have the middle lines fade out in the center so the video behind it will be clear (I'm doing this effect in Photoshop but I'm probabaly going to use After Effects to incoorperate it into the video,) BUT the video is visable between each of the lines (again, see the screen shot below to understand what I'm talking about.)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to photoshop 7 from PS6. I want to make a simple circle. I use the elliptical marquee tool set at a constrained aspect ratio of 1:1. I've made a new layer. Now I'm trying to fill that circle in with the fill tool but it's filling in the entire background of the whole image. I've never had a problem with this before. I just tried it using the elipse tool but that makes a filled round shape. I'm just trying to circle something in a picture. Used to be able to do it really easy in Photoshop 7.
I have a camera lense that I'm making in CS4 and the edges of some of the smaller circles are cut off or flattened looking as you can see here:
