In watching videos about Photoshop CS6 I notice that the brush (or other cursor) often appears as two concentric circles: the outer circle gives some idea of the extent of the brush effect. How do I activate this double circle brush display in Photoshop CS6. I seem only to see a single circle for the brush display. I am using the "cloud" version with Windows 7.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the tool for drawing a filled-in circle with a colored border to add a series of circles to a map for use in identifying specific stops on a tour. I cannot, to save my life, figure out how to designate the size of the circles. Instead, the only thing I can figure out to do is use my mouse to click, hold, and drag until the pixel dimensions on the screen show exactly the size I am aiming for.
The problem is that I am trying to hit exactly 30x30 pixels. Either my hand is not steady enough or the mouse is too sensitive, but it is taking forever to try to hit precisely the right size. Is there any way to simply click the point where I would normally begin dragging to draw the circle and then just type in the dimensions on my keyboard?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have C3D 2013 and recently my profile labels for sag and crest vertical curves are disappearing. When I first open the drawing and the program goes through loading I can see the labels but once it stops loading they disappear. All my levels are on, I have ran an audit several times, I have deleted the labels in the manager and replaced them but once I save and quit they are no longer visible. I am able to see the labels through an xref of the drawing but it appears that the labels have been reset to their default position and not where I had adjusted them to view them within the viewport. I have attached pictures of what it looks like.

So when you want to draw a circle around a certain point - you have to center the circle yourself
I want to have the circles anchored to the point that I start the drag (centered at the point I hold down the mouse to start the drag).
If you imagine wanting to drawn a target (concentric circles) - you'll get the idea.
I cannot see a way to do this automatically in paint.net.

I'm trying to align a nested family to a reference line in my host family so that it rotates around a certain point.
I've created the reference line in my host family, locked the end point to two reference planes and then gave an angular parameter to the angle between the ref. line and the ref. plane.
I then inserted the nested family and aligned it to the ref. line. The problem is that when I flex the angle, i get a "Constraints not satisfied" error..
What could be wrong?
I'm using a generic face based family for both host and nested families...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a logo. Circular logo with an inner ring maybe 4 px wide and 15 px inside the rim of the outer circle.
Basically I want a blue circle with a yellow inside ring. What's the best way of doing this? The only thing i can think of is: creating a blue circle marquee, and then another (trying to estimate a new circle size and change the color) that is yellow, and then making another smaller blue circle inside the new one. That's just ugly.
I tried the edit/stroke but that just gave me a stroke around the outer circle; it didn't put a ring inside the circle 15 px down.
Also I tried to contract the original circle by selecting it, then Modify/contract. That's got me a selected ring, inside the circle. Now how in the world do I make that little ring yellow? It just remains selected and I can't seem to find a way to color it.
I have Autodesk inventor standard NOT the pro version. I am a Revit professional in dire need of learning Inventor. My exact steps are as follows:
1. Open assembly
2. create component - (simple wheel(cylinder) with an off axis hole in the middle so I can see if it is rotating.)
3. create component- flat surface.
4. constrain the cylinder to the flat surface via a tangent constraint
5. constrain the cylinder to the front edge of the flat surface via a mate constraint.
6. go to motion tab in constraint's, click rotation-translation, type in 10in for distance.
7.wheel does not rotate on surface like a wheel should. There is no affect of the surface on the wheel rotation.
In other words I want to get the circumference of the wheel to rotate 360 degrees as it travels pi*diameter of flat surface.
I've been doing some family as an independent construction detail revit model, I think that is the most appropriate type of detail component. Graphically everything right but I encounter the following problem, all built to type text is not visible in the project then.
How do you control the display? or do you like I can put a text in a detail component family? and if not visible... why would have the option of make texts? Is the only option to annotate after in the project insertion?
we are using a custom font throughout the whole project, I need to use the same font within the stairs family , how do I change the "DN" in stairs to the other font?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to lay one of our existing blocks ontop of every power outlet on a floorplan (the power outlets are currently shown as a simple shape (eg. either a rectangle, triangle or circle) with text next to it.
There are hundreds of power outlets, so if there is a lisp routine for replacing any part of the power outlet with the block, eg. replacing text/mtext with a block or replacing a pline with a block.
I have found a very successful lisp routine for replacing circles with blocks, but this obviously only works on the power outlets that are shown as circles. So a simpler way of looking at it could be a lisp for drawing a circle around mtext/text then I could simply use the circle to block lisp to place the blocks.
I can't change the text fonts in Elements 9. Most everything else seems to work except the font family drop down menu. When I click on the arrow, the menu drops but immediately dissappears. The font size drop down works but not the family menu.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working with 2 mesh's they are the same shape but different sizes. I want to subtract one out of the other but only after they are both "concentric". The objects are not symmetric so I cannot officially use the term concentric but I do not know any other term.
My problem is that I cannot get them concentric.
Things I tried:
They will definitely both have the same center of mass so I tried doing things with that but to no avail.
I also tried to set 3 constraints (distance between identical surfaces on each mesh) equal to some value x but it did not let me. If it did, I believe the smaller object would have no place to go but right in the center of the bigger one.
I have attached an assembly with both of the objects.
I've been using inventor for past 3 yrs. I just love it.
1. BOLTED CONNECTION: whenever i perform a bolted connection with option "CONCENTRIC", though it creates the holes in all the locations but places fasteners only in the first hole(refer attached picture). I'll have to copy and paste it individually for all other holes then, which is quite a hassle. It works fine with all other options i.e BY HOLES, POINTS etc.
2. While creating a new part, I usually makes the referance planes in the center of the part which makes it easier to assemble by planes in a large assembly. For this purpose, i have to project the planes and then get my sketch symetric to the planes during every part creation. As I've worked in other softwares too, where in sketch it automatically alows to use the referance planes for sketching, so we don't have to project it in order to use it.
