Is there a way to have the new NEX tools window undocked when starting up Maya? I can undock it after Maya 2014 starts. But I'd like to have it this way on launch. Currently it reverts back.

I could do this in earlier versions, but it doesn't seem to work in Photoshop CS-6. How do U reposition a floating dock in CS6 so it is anchored to the upper right edge of the window?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when I use the cropping tool the floating tool bar has blank icons on it. Sometimes there may be lines in them like they tried to load but most of the time they are just completely white.
They still work and everything but you have to run your mouse over them and wait for the box to pop-up thats says what it is to see which one you need.
know why is not possible to load 32 bit images in Maya? I´ve loaded the plugins (tiffFloatReader, OpenEXRLoader) for this but I still receive an error message when I try to load 32 bit image (tiff, exr, hdri).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Bonus Tools 2014 for Maya 2013 on my Mac with OS 10.8.4.
Then I launched Maya. Â I didn't see the 'bonus tools' menu item up top.
I compared my menu to the one here. The one in the video has it in the top menu, but mine does not.
I found the bonus tools mel script in the shared sub folders for autodesk, so I know it's installed.
Maya 2012 new features video shows that craft animation tools is new feature in Maya 2012, but i cannot find it inside Maya 2012, is the plugin integrated with Maya 2012 or need to install it after installation? Should i download craft animation tools for Maya 2012 or ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt seems everytime I combine objects or do some weird deforming to objects the the Move Tool/Scale Tool/Rotate Tool drifts off into space and forces me to zoom out of what im working on to use the tools. This gets very bothersome when im moving a piece into just the right place and i need to be zoomed in. Im still quite new at Maya and 3D in general.

There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.

anyway at some point i clicked on the x after I had finished the project, but now it seems to be gone forever (does not automatically appear) when I open a new project...question is where is it and how do i get it back.

When I tried to move the options bar from the top of the screen and dock it at the bottom (as I have always done in CS3) I find that I cannot. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just loaded Gimp 2.8 from 'ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp' with the idea of using the 'all-in-one' new arrangement. I am using Mint 13 Maya and the new gimp interface is not yet in the repository.
That said, having opened the 'new' gimp I see the docks arrangement is a bit different. Whereas there used to be two docks one on either side of the drawing area, now the right hand dock is split screen.
The problem is that just for say the colour wheel it uses loads of screen space. I know I can toggle between 'all-in-one' and multi-mode but they both have a split screen for the docks on the right.
I don't see any obvious way to move the colour wheel dock back to where it has been under the toolbox and brushes docks.
Maybe this is a fixed arrangement in 2.8, if so I will have to go back to my Mint 13 native version.
My command bar will not dock down at the bottom like the old style autocad (I don't care for the new semi transparent deal as its always in the way). I can dock the command bar but the next time I open the drawing or autocad for that matter it is back floating again?

I've been in the windows tab trying to locate the dock and can't. Hitting "tab" on the keyboard opens another singular dock. I would like the original multifunction one that comes on install.
I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it remembered my dock settings.
How to dock some tabs (tool options, layers, colors...) in the toolbox? or dock the toolbox in a multitab tool window with tool options, layers, colors.. ? would be nice to have only TWO windows: one for the image (without pollution), one "service" window !
This was possible in 2.6, but not (for me) in 2.7.4.
I saw it once & it appeared (by accident) on the left side tool box. All of the properties of the text - i.e. size etc was shown on the tool box. How do I make that happen again ? I am brand new to Gimp.
