I installed Bonus Tools 2014 for Maya 2013 on my Mac with OS 10.8.4.
Then I launched Maya. I didn't see the 'bonus tools' menu item up top.
I compared my menu to the one here. The one in the video has it in the top menu, but mine does not.
I found the bonus tools mel script in the shared sub folders for autodesk, so I know it's installed.
BonusTools 2013 menu doesn't show in maya 2013,how can show it.
View 3 Replies View Related I have it installed, I have the plugin "loaded" and "auto-loaded", but when I try to import a .3ds file, there is no geometry or anything. I see "Transform1" in the Outliner, and I don't really see any errors.
I tried playing around with windows, hit "show all" on everything I can find.
I just loaded the bonus tools for 2014 Mac....I looked in the plug-in manager and the .3ds plug-in is missing in action...
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to 2012 but forgot to install the express tools, Doh!. I installed them through control panel repair and everything works. Except when I close and restart ACAD the menu bar express menu disappears. I can bring it back by using cuiload but this is not ideal. Any way to get it to stick?

This video from Autodesk describing the procedural texture generation "Substance" refers to a "Substance Bonus Pack". This doesn't appear to exist anywhere. Is this something that is going to be added to Product Enhancements for subscriptions? Or is this part of the 2012 release that I'm just unable to locate?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use the clone stamp and the brush tool regularly. Each of these tools provides a Mode: dropdown list to select from in their menu bar.
The drop down options I use most frequently are Lighten and Darken. I would like to create short cuts to Lighten and Darken, such as Ctrl+Shift+L (Lighten) and Ctrl+Shift+D (Darken).
The tools panel menu bar does not appear to have a selection list in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box.
How do I create these shortcuts.

I have used ACAD Lt 2000 for years and it has been fine untill recently. It does not seem to like the new hardware so I am trying the 2012 Lt for 30 days. One thing it is not letting me do is calibrate the digitizer, (a GTCO 3648 Rollup II) I am not even getting a "tools" menu and typing in "CAL" gets me a weird " >> Expression: " in the command line. It shows:

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt seems everytime I combine objects or do some weird deforming to objects the the Move Tool/Scale Tool/Rotate Tool drifts off into space and forces me to zoom out of what im working on to use the tools. This gets very bothersome when im moving a piece into just the right place and i need to be zoomed in. Im still quite new at Maya and 3D in general.

For example, sometimes the "Polygons" shelf is completely missing, or else it is there but its contents are empty. If I close Maya and restart it, then they shelves will load up fine. I delete my preferences and start with new ones. This is a very fresh install, and I also had this problem with a previous install of 2012. And it does load up correctly sometimes so the preferences should be correct...right?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem in 2011 and 2012 on 2 different machines, but haven't seen it on the bug list, and have seen a post saying the hotkey combo for 'add menu item to shelf' is the same it's always been - Ctrl-Shift-Alt, then selecting menu item.
But when I press that, the menu item executes, but no shelf button appears.
I use this combo - a lot- to make custom shelves per project or need. Frustrated it no longer seems to work.
What happened to the Thicker Lines feature in the view port Shading menu? This is an absolutely essential feature! Is it part of the removed features in Maya 2014?
