very grey and flat. I know how to change the background color, but is there anyway to add more color to the interface in general...tools, menu or palette color? Yes I do know that we can highlight individual menu items on drop down.
View 9 RepliesI recently upgraded to 2012 but forgot to install the express tools, Doh!. I installed them through control panel repair and everything works. Except when I close and restart ACAD the menu bar express menu disappears. I can bring it back by using cuiload but this is not ideal. Any way to get it to stick?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been experimenting with a different custom layout. I split my most used tools into two floating palettes configured in double rows, one for drawing tools and one for photo tools. I turned of the tool bar and parked my two custom palettes on the left in its place. I've done away with the flyouts and I always use the mouse to zoom and pan so I didn't need those tools. Web design tools I keep up top along with a few custom buttons for things like toggling the rulers and the handy wrench for bringing up the options palette. Now I just have to try and remember where I put everything
Anyway to get set ups to include some of the new tools? Do you customize your workspace? which buttons from the button palette do find most useful? As I already mentioned I always add the wrench for one click access to the options. I also add the convert to editable shapes button. Here is a screenshot of my new set up. (My galleries aren't missing I have a second monitor and I keep the galleries stashed on there.)
I have CS5 Extended and my OS is XP. I want to change the color of the workspace to black or at least darken it. I can't find any way to do this. I tried one tip of clicking on the paint bucket, setting it to black, then Shift and click on the workspace. I've tried right clicking on the workspace. Nothing brings up any options. Under Preferences/Interface, I set the screen to black but nothing happens.

AutoCAD say invalid command, there was something on the website that said to type express tools at the command prompt, but when I do that, too it says invalid command.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using Photoshop CS5 on a Mac . I frequent between two workspace and want to assign different sets of actions to them. So my photography editing is done in one workspace and I'm using lot's of actions for that. When I switch to my scrap booking workspace I want to change the actions palette accordingly.
Im probably a bit anal and like my action palette a certain way and would like my actions to stay in a certain order. When PS freezes and I need to force quit it the order of actions is different again. I seem to recall that it is possible to save the content and order of the palette but cannot find it anywhere on the web anymore. I am saving my actions from PS to a folder organized by name but now I have to keep adding them by hand.
Could someone who speaks better English or PHotoshop speak than me please translate this cunundrum I get EACH AND EVERY time I change a workspace:

I don't know what's going on here , but I don't remember anything about a shortcut file . I just clicked a new workspace quite simply. And I don't remember thinking in terms of saving any changes or resetting any new stuff.
The grey text on black background is fine on my home computer but my little laptop screen, especially travelling with some sun glare on it, is very hard to read. I had hoped to do lots of editing while travelling but have eye strain instead. Can the panel background color and text color be changed to something with more contrast or does Lightroom have other "skins"?

Have to shut down and reboot. I have tried eliminating the preferences (s+alt+delete on boot up) Did not help.

The drop down options I use most frequently are Lighten and Darken. I would like to create short cuts to Lighten and Darken, such as Ctrl+Shift+L (Lighten) and Ctrl+Shift+D (Darken).
The tools panel menu bar does not appear to have a selection list in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box.
How do I create these shortcuts.
i having a fully working ribbon in ACAD2013. it is a registered dll that is originally coded in vb.net.
unfortunatley the functionality is only visible at the drafting & annotation workspace but is desperatly needed in classic workspace mode.
for hours i am trying to find a way to make my functionality working in classic workspace too.
is it possible to extend the classic workspace in acad2013 with my functions? if so, how, or where can i get more detailed information to solve my task.
I have a new copy of PSE 11 and the tools menu palette names on the left side of the screen are missing. I notice that some tutorials show the palette names and others do not. How do you turn these names on or off?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI get the colors right then I zoom in or change tools the color changes and then back again like skin goes all red magenta..I work in raw or psd when saving files wrong color occurs again in saved JPG even though color looked alright . Im using windows 8 64 CS6 Same thing occurs even when no plug ins loaded tried all color spaces also. I am not talking monitor to print difference either .

Then I launched Maya. I didn't see the 'bonus tools' menu item up top.
I compared my menu to the one here. The one in the video has it in the top menu, but mine does not.
I found the bonus tools mel script in the shared sub folders for autodesk, so I know it's installed.
I have lost MACROS on Tool Bar in X4.
Is there a way of getting it back?
I have used ACAD Lt 2000 for years and it has been fine untill recently. It does not seem to like the new hardware so I am trying the 2012 Lt for 30 days. One thing it is not letting me do is calibrate the digitizer, (a GTCO 3648 Rollup II) I am not even getting a "tools" menu and typing in "CAL" gets me a weird " >> Expression: " in the command line. It shows:
(mouse icon) Menu: Tools > Tablet > Configure

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo in Photoshop when I select a tool on the toolbar and right-click it, I am given a menu of "sub" tools to choose from. In Illustrator, however, the same does not happen. I can select the tool on the toolbar, but right-clicking has no effect on those tools that appear to have sub-tools available (indicated, I thought, by the little corner triangle in the icon, just like Photoshop). Alt-clicking, alt-right-clicking, shift-clicking, ctl-clicking, nothing seems to work.
How do I, for instance, switch from the rectangle tool to the rounded rectangle tool (if there is one)? And how do I see which sub-options are available under those tools that have the little triangle?

So I am attempting to use a black theme on my windows pc. My Creative Suite 2 products use black text in the menus and pop-up dialogues (such as canvas size). Of course, I can no longer read the options. Is there a way to get Adobe products to use the menu fonts defined by windows, or at least to change it within the software?

Now I want to start drawing a new line But with the settings of a specific line . instead of changing every attribute(collor,layer,line type.) How can I simple pick a line I like from the drawing and then the line tool adopts the settings from that line? The same question for other tools for example text, dims,... View 1 Replies View Relateduser of Corel Videostudio pro x5 and gradually getting to grips with the functionality, however I have come to a dead end on one issue. I have edited a video ready for sharing and have gone to create a disc with a menu. I did not want any of the existing menu template so managed to create my own using a photograph as background and adding text I have managed to edit the text to change font etc but when it comes to the navigation buttons I cannot seem to be able to edit the properties. When using customise I can choose the different styles of button but cannot change the colour of the buttons to suit my template colour scheme. For some reason whenever I run a preview the play button always turns out to be pale blue colour. Currently on the create disc function I am selecting DVD for testing purposes instead of burning expensive Blue Ray discs however when finished I will want to burn blue ray discs.

1)When switching between the Drawing and Annotate option to the AC Classic option a menu would appear with options to use the civil menu, mechanical or architectual. This has now dissappeared and I do not know how to acces it again.
2) Coming from a manual drafting background scaling appeared to be easier. I want to change the template scale shown in the title block from 1:1 to 1:5. This seems to be able to be done as it is highlighted. All my efforts save to enter it hard does not work, but this does not change the sheet scale. Changing the scale on the menu bar does not affet the sheet scaling
is there a way to have the profile be on 2d drafting already as yoju open a new file or should you always open a new file and then change the profile from architecture to 2d drafting?
