I get the colors right then I zoom in or change tools the color changes and then back again like skin goes all red magenta..I work in raw or psd when saving files wrong color occurs again in saved JPG even though color looked alright . Im using windows 8 64 CS6 Same thing occurs even when no plug ins loaded tried all color spaces also. I am not talking monitor to print difference either .

i've got a strange problem: when zooming images in the GIMP (2.8.2, installed from archlinux [extra]), viewing them larger than the size they are being automatically zoomed to by default, they break up into unconnected, rectangular tiles.
moving (panning) them around with the mouse so that they partially leave the screen brings those parts back to be displayed properly. means i have to 'swivel' the image across all borders to get it to display properly.
in addition, applying scissors or path tool leaves artefacts on the image that can be removed the same way.
i've noticed this first with the development version of GIMP (2.9, compiled from GIT) and thought those were the new GIMP's growing pains -- but then i noticed the same happening with the stable version (2.8).
i've tried switching to an earlier version of xf86-video-ati and to an earlier kernel, but neither rectifies the problem. i also tried different options in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ 20-radeon.conf, whith the same result, i.e., none.
seems to have something to do with the image being refreshed, or not being refreshed, but which part of the system is at fault baffles me.
i'm using arch +testing, and here are my system's details:

I have a number of gradients that are currently blue and I would like to convert them to a green but keeping the same levels. Is there a way I can apply a filter of some sort to them?
I purchased a website template and I need to customise the colours of the graphics (Buttons, logos etc.) to match my specific colour scheme. When I asked the designers of the template for help they sent be a PSD file with a complete screenshot of the webpage and all the individual components.
I need to change the colours of each button and some graphics and I cannot find an easy way to do this. I have never used Photoshop before ( I have Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady CS2)
Also once the colour has been changed do I cut and paste the images? How do I save them as new individual files that I can upload to replace the standard template graphics? (They need to be exactly the same size as the originals).
Like changing the colour of a surface, but the surface has detail and i don't want to go over the detail, hair for instance, what would i use? something that covers the patch ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to change a photo into just four colours in preperation for producing a litho, this will allow me to have an image for each seperate colour, that when each colour is printed on the same paper, it makes up the final image, a bit like screen printing.
If you try the 'cutout' filter on a picture and adjust the amount of levels to 4, you will see the sort of thing I am trying to produce.
What I intend to do is once the image is seperated, create 3 other copies, then delete all unwanted colour sections, minus the colour I need for this particular part of the picture.
I have tried by converting the image to "indexed colour" and selected black and white, then entering 4 colours here.
This does give me 4 colours, however when I try to just select one of the colours and remove it, it looks like there is an underlying colour, i.e this colour selected is actually made up from two of the colours, as if it is mixed.
im trying to make some text appear over a texture, and as I've been using programs such as GIMP and Paint.net before I know from them that you can have layers do this. Layers have depth settings, so layer 1 will be the lowest and so on. But it don't find these settings in autocad.

View 2 Replies View Relateduser of Corel Videostudio pro x5 and gradually getting to grips with the functionality, however I have come to a dead end on one issue. I have edited a video ready for sharing and have gone to create a disc with a menu. I did not want any of the existing menu template so managed to create my own using a photograph as background and adding text I have managed to edit the text to change font etc but when it comes to the navigation buttons I cannot seem to be able to edit the properties. When using customise I can choose the different styles of button but cannot change the colour of the buttons to suit my template colour scheme. For some reason whenever I run a preview the play button always turns out to be pale blue colour. Currently on the create disc function I am selecting DVD for testing purposes instead of burning expensive Blue Ray discs however when finished I will want to burn blue ray discs.

When I XREF this drawing into the sheet file on the right side of the screencast you will see how the colour turns yellow when reference into the new sheet file?

My alignment ticks use the stanard Aecc Tick block. It is on layer 0/bylayer/bylayer etc and the style is set by layer. They display correctly in the source drawing but when I xref that drawing into others, the ticks change colour based on what every the current layer is in the host drawing. If the current layer is 0 they dispaly correctly, if my current layer has a colour 5 associated with it then my xref ticks regen to blue. This only happens with the tick not the text.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am producing some floor plans which I am having to split into several sheets. I am reusing the overall plan in small scale as a key/location plan (in a seperate viewport).
As the viewport is at small scale I want to make the pens thinner so walls don't come out too thick so I go into the layer manager and change the viewport pen colours and freeze off unwanted layers. Trouble is although I can copy the viewport between sheets and drawings it won't remember the layer settings is there a way that I can either: Set a variable to remember the layer settings within the viewport when copying Write a script to change the layer colours within the viewport and vp freeze the unwanted layers so all the keyplan match between all of my sheets.
The script wouldn't be too much problem for me as I mostly use key commands but when I tried changing the layer colours using -la -> c -> red all the viewports changed not just the current one. Is there a different command to change the viewport colours or is it just not possible from the command line.
I'm using CS3 on a Dell PC. Trying to work on a selection with the lasso. Works fine for a while then I go to zoom tool and it has changed from + to -. I can not save. Have to shut down and reboot. I have tried eliminating the preferences (s+alt+delete on boot up) Did not help.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that all of my dimensions and text have changed colour to white, with my by layer colour as an outline of the text, the arrows and lines still look correct however. I put the dimensions on a seperate layer and this seemed to happen after hiding this layer then later unhiding it. I have looked through the properties to change the colour unsuccessfully.
On another note, the monochrome print option does not work when creating a plot - it will still create it in colour. What can I do to sort these issues? It is fustrating as all I really need to do with this drawing is to export the it for a report and it looks messy!

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo in Photoshop when I select a tool on the toolbar and right-click it, I am given a menu of "sub" tools to choose from. In Illustrator, however, the same does not happen. I can select the tool on the toolbar, but right-clicking has no effect on those tools that appear to have sub-tools available (indicated, I thought, by the little corner triangle in the icon, just like Photoshop). Alt-clicking, alt-right-clicking, shift-clicking, ctl-clicking, nothing seems to work.
How do I, for instance, switch from the rectangle tool to the rounded rectangle tool (if there is one)? And how do I see which sub-options are available under those tools that have the little triangle?

I am still trying to learn the basics in AutoCAD. Here is an example: I have many lines created in a drawing that all are different in collar,layer,line type,. Now I want to start drawing a new line But with the settings of a specific line . instead of changing every attribute(collor,layer,line type.) How can I simple pick a line I like from the drawing and then the line tool adopts the settings from that line? The same question for other tools for example text, dims,... Is the a tool the simple picks the objects attributes and make those current ?

I've designed a logo with a green background (C: 57,5 - M: 15,15 - Y: 99,73 - K: 1,65) in Illustrator cs6. When I want to save my file as .PDF, and I open my PDF file, the green colour has changed (C: 59,22 - M: 12,94 - Y: 90,98 - K: 62,67). When I save my file as PDF I use the standard properties of Adobe (Acrobat 6, PDF 1.5).

I've been working with and adding things to my cs4 for so long I couldn't even list them all... I just know I'm going to be missing things. How to properly transfer over all my cs4 files to my new cs6 copy? Is there a link or a blog that tells you how to do this most efficiently? I thought cs6 would overwrite cs4 and transfer everything for me but now understand that is not the case.
(I think I have imagenomic portraiture and noiseware figured out- downloaded new copies of the software). Can I just drag any items from the cs4 files in applications (on a mac) to my new cs6 files?
