Photoshop :: How To Keep / Change Actions When Changing Workspace

I'm currently using Photoshop CS5 on a Mac . I frequent between two workspace and want to assign different sets of actions to them. So my photography editing is done in one workspace and I'm using lot's of actions for that. When I switch to my scrap booking workspace I want to change the actions palette accordingly.

Im probably a bit anal and like my action palette a certain way and would like my actions to stay in a certain order. When PS freezes and I need to force quit it the order of actions is different again. I seem to recall that it is possible to save the content and order of the palette but cannot find it anywhere on the web anymore. I am saving my actions from PS to a folder organized by name but now I have to keep adding them by hand.

I have CS5 Extended and my OS is XP. I want to change the color of the workspace to black or at least darken it. I can't find any way to do this. I tried one tip of clicking on the paint bucket, setting it to black, then Shift and click on the workspace. I've tried right clicking on the workspace. Nothing brings up any options. Under Preferences/Interface, I set the screen to black but nothing happens.

DO YOU WANT TO SAVE CHANGES IN THE CURRENT SHORTCUT FILE BEFORE RESETTING THE SHORTCUTS

I don't know what's going on here , but I don't remember anything about a shortcut file . I just clicked a new workspace quite simply. And I don't remember thinking in terms of saving any changes or resetting any new stuff.

Am I able to change the workspace from 2D Drafting and Annotation to Autocad Classic? When I open the workspace dialogue box, AutoCAD Architecture is the only option. With AutoCAD 2010, the workspace dialogue box gave me three options: 2D Drafting and Annotation, 3D Modeling and AutoCAD Classic.

How do I get Autocad Classic as a workspace option?

Illustrator :: Workspace Does Not Change The Default Type

I open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. I have made a new document profile and a new workspace, but the profile is only good for a new document. The workspace does not change the default type. I could save lots of time if I could change this behavior! I am working in CS6 on a 64-bit Windows machine.

Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?

The grey text on black background is fine on my home computer but my little laptop screen, especially travelling with some sun glare on it, is very hard to read. I had hoped to do lots of editing while travelling but have eye strain instead. Can the panel background color and text color be changed to something with more contrast or does Lightroom have other "skins"?

In Photoshop CS5 I created a long action list which include lots of Shapes. I saved these action sets and loaded them into CS6. and they kept failing saying they couldn't find layer "Shape 1" "Shape 2" etc . this is because in CS6 the layers are now called "Rectangle 1" "Elipse 1" etc . How can I get this to revert back to the "Shape 1, 2, 3, 4 etc etc".

i have recently moved from adobe flash professional to adobe edge animate. But things seem to be more complicated on edge.

I have 2 buttons, "next" and "previous", and they have their own actions to make the timeline plays to a specific point. But I cant reuse the same symbols changing only the code like I used to do on flash.

Ive already looked the whole web, but there are few edge tutorials. How to change the code from the SAME symbol in different parts from the timeline? I dont want to have to create new "next" and "previous" buttons everytime I need to change the code to go to the next page of my project.,

Photoshop :: Actions Stopped Working After Downloading More Actions

I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that�s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).

Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.

I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit �load actions� and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking �why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) �Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost�.

I have searched for the settings folder and couldn�t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don�t run.

I�m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.

one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.

My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.

I like to put my actions somewhere special on my hardrive, not in apps folder.

Now, in past, when I saved actions CS2 would "remember" where this folder was, making real easy to save.

Lately, it keep defaulting to save as in the app folder-- even though I did navigate to my special area on last save as.

I've just gotten an ASUS Zenbook ultrabook, and I have to say that it runs PS (CS5) beautifully. Just one problem: with the 1920x1080 resolution, the menus, tools, etc. are tiny. Is there any way to change the size of the font in PS itself without changing the resolution on the whole computer?
