The grey text on black background is fine on my home computer but my little laptop screen, especially travelling with some sun glare on it, is very hard to read. I had hoped to do lots of editing while travelling but have eye strain instead. Can the panel background color and text color be changed to something with more contrast or does Lightroom have other "skins"?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe panels windows take up so much space on screen. It's mainly the width of the panel. I'm constantly having to move the panels over and back in forth in order to see what I'm doing.
Here's what it looks like.... Nearly 1/3 of the workspace is taken up. Is there any way to make the panel thinner?
I just upgraded to CS 6 from 3. I do not like that Illustrator is dark gray. Is there any way I can change the view of it or am I stuck?

I can only change the font size of menu a little bigger and can't do anything about the other font size. I am so frustrated. The reason why I bought Imac 27" is to protect my weak vision and there are no means to change the font size in lightroom. I searched online and found many customers had this issue.

I'm experimenting Lightroom and Photoshop CS3.
Lightroom has a photography editing friendly environment in what concerns to colors of its panels and controls (because it does not interfere with photos perception of color, specially in lights out modes) but Photoshop doesn't (in my opinion, of course).
My question is :
I changed the background color easily in photoshop to neutral gray but how to change its panels colors (tools panel, options panel, layers/navigator/history... panels) to turn them more attenuated and dimmed, in a more Lightroom lights out manner.
My panels fonts are all in chinese, how do I change this back to english?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe color I see in my foreground selection is different to what I see when I add it to my artwork. I am working in CMYK, the mode is normal and the opacity is 100%. I haven't seen this before, so I am wondering if the client artwork that I am working on may have had some inbuilt settings that have superceded my settings (is that even possible?). I am using CS3 Photoshop on a PC, and the upgrading or modification of either is not an option.

I tried one tip of clicking on the paint bucket, setting it to black, then Shift and click on the workspace. I've tried right clicking on the workspace. Nothing brings up any options. Under Preferences/Interface, I set the screen to black but nothing happens.

Updated to SP1, found this forum, saw how to change the color in the files menu, and was very disappointed that the menu backgrounds changed, but not the BIG GRAPHITE BOX IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN!!
X3 gave us control of the colors. X4 is a big disappointment.what about the big graphite elephant in the room, the workspace?
When I was working in photoshop I suddely changed the colour around my workspace, from default grey to purple..dont ask me how I did it I dont know.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using Photoshop CS5 on a Mac . I frequent between two workspace and want to assign different sets of actions to them. So my photography editing is done in one workspace and I'm using lot's of actions for that. When I switch to my scrap booking workspace I want to change the actions palette accordingly.
Im probably a bit anal and like my action palette a certain way and would like my actions to stay in a certain order. When PS freezes and I need to force quit it the order of actions is different again. I seem to recall that it is possible to save the content and order of the palette but cannot find it anywhere on the web anymore. I am saving my actions from PS to a folder organized by name but now I have to keep adding them by hand.
Am I able to change the workspace from 2D Drafting and Annotation to Autocad Classic? When I open the workspace dialogue box, AutoCAD Architecture is the only option. With AutoCAD 2010, the workspace dialogue box gave me three options: 2D Drafting and Annotation, 3D Modeling and AutoCAD Classic.
How do I get Autocad Classic as a workspace option?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. I have made a new document profile and a new workspace, but the profile is only good for a new document. The workspace does not change the default type. I could save lots of time if I could change this behavior! I am working in CS6 on a 64-bit Windows machine.
Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?
How many panels there are in the web module of Lightroom 4.3 - 6 or 7 - I have 6 only panels, but it seems that I'm missing a seventh - The "appearance" panel or "aspect" in french?

In the X4 version there is nowhere to select non default color. There should be as not everyone wants to be forced into having it the default"graphite or whatever"color.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing Lr4.1 on PC w/ win7pro laptop with external NEC multisync mmonitor-calibrated, I've taken Raws made LR adjustments, then imported 3-10 images into photoshop layers for masking, merges, few if any color changes. Then save as all layers as a psd, then flatten the psd and save as a tiff. When I open in LR for any other minor tweaks, sharpening, dust spots, and do an export into SRGB or Adobe rgb, the colors are terrible. Look nothing like what I see in LR. I've heard people have minimal issues, but I am having major changes, many times the collors will become dull and flat or very saturated when viewed. As an architectural photographer I need these colors close to what I took. If I edit in CR into PS I don't have this problem. I assume its related to the prophoto RGB color changing, but I really don't know what's going on with the color space. The color will appear different from my laptop monitor to the NEC by a lot which I understand a pro monitor will show more colors, but the color space shift is making a lot of work done in LR useless if I have to redo it all in CR. How can I get LR to export the colors I see in LR into a srgb jpg and Adobe tiff?
