I had hoped to do lots of editing while travelling but have eye strain instead. Can the panel background color and text color be changed to something with more contrast or does Lightroom have other "skins"?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI open PDFs in Illustrator that were created in Autodesk Inventor. The default of Myriad Pro is applied and I would like to change that. I have made a new document profile and a new workspace, but the profile is only good for a new document. The workspace does not change the default type. I could save lots of time if I could change this behavior! I am working in CS6 on a 64-bit Windows machine.
Perhaps it is only a question of getting Illustrator to recognize Arial?
I just downloaded 2013 Autocad for MAC and I can't manage to see my drawing toolbars and also don't know where to find workspace settings to change my workspace to autocad classic.

btw, who forgot to implement the use of Illustrators colours into the transparency grid feature, leaving it using the Mac OS X UI colour pickers is a bizarre choice.
When I open up photoshop cs3 the background color comes up white. I like it when its grey, like in cs2. I know there is a way to change this color in cs2, I just can't remember how. It's some simple shortcut.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding illustrator. Let's say I have a circle with blue fill and red stroke. And I place an image in the illustrator file. Now I want to change the red stroke of my circle to let's say a purple color by sampling the color from the image.
How can I achieve that with a eye dropper tool? Every time when I try to sample a color from the image, the whole circle will change to purple instead of just the stroke? I have tried multiple key combination, shift, alt, ctrl but they all don't work.
I need to change the default text color to a pantone spot color.

how I can turn on the color again so that when I select a line it changes from black to red or magenta or whatever?
I want to change it to either a color or transparent. I am placing detailed symbols (like this).

In order to change the color of the artwork I got file>document setup, I tick the simulate color paper option in the transparency oprions of the window. From there i choose the color of my choice.
Suppose for example that the color of the artwork is red, then if I have a vector object which is white, then, its color appears to be red, as that of the artwork. Why the above happens.I want to have the artwork a color other that white so that I can draw white objects in it.Here is an image/example where the artwork is orange and the icon is NOT white as I want it and expected to be:

"Recolor Artwork" isn't working.
The color I see in my foreground selection is different to what I see when I add it to my artwork. I am working in CMYK, the mode is normal and the opacity is 100%. I haven't seen this before, so I am wondering if the client artwork that I am working on may have had some inbuilt settings that have superceded my settings (is that even possible?). I am using CS3 Photoshop on a PC, and the upgrading or modification of either is not an option.

I tried one tip of clicking on the paint bucket, setting it to black, then Shift and click on the workspace. I've tried right clicking on the workspace. Nothing brings up any options. Under Preferences/Interface, I set the screen to black but nothing happens.

X3 gave us control of the colors. X4 is a big disappointment.what about the big graphite elephant in the room, the workspace?
