I thought this would be really easy, but everything I've found online doesn't give me the color I want, or It doesn't allow me to be 100% accurate.

In other words, after using the Color Picker Tool to select a color from the image, I want to take the selected color (and everything in the image that is equal to or similar in color), and change them all to a different color.
I tried using the Path's Tool to create an outline in the image, and changing colors that way, but it changes all the other colors in the selection I don't want to change. I just want to change all colors in the image/selection that are equal to or similar to the selected color. How do I do this?
How can I change the color of this image brush? I'm unable to change the Colorization options as I've seen done for other brushes in tutorials.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding illustrator. Let's say I have a circle with blue fill and red stroke. And I place an image in the illustrator file. Now I want to change the red stroke of my circle to let's say a purple color by sampling the color from the image.
How can I achieve that with a eye dropper tool? Every time when I try to sample a color from the image, the whole circle will change to purple instead of just the stroke? I have tried multiple key combination, shift, alt, ctrl but they all don't work.

how I can turn on the color again so that when I select a line it changes from black to red or magenta or whatever?
Is it possible to change the black fill color on an image that has been traced using the silhouette option?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI took a picture of my 3 year old daughter on the beach this past weekend, and since I didn't want to spend the money on a fancy white dress, I thought I would use an existing one, and then photoshop it to white. Well, the only dress we had with us on the trip was a pink/shite checkered dress, not a solid color. I'm having one heck of a time doing this.
I've tried both the color change, and the hue/saturation tools, and although I'm able to change the dress from pinkish to white, I am unable to get rid of the checkerboard pattern.
I've been trying to change the edge color for a 3D solid object but not able to.
I've tried using the function in Autocad but it just wont work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to edit colors in Paint.net so that I would have only solid colors in the image? I would like to get rid of sort of "semi colors/pixels" (see border between red and green color). I would like to have all the borders between colors like the border between blue and grey color where there is only solid colors present.

I can use the trace feature on CorelDraw. However, the trace feature does not outline the artwork very well.
Is there some way I can make the logo below solid black and solid white without having to sketch the whole thing using features like trim and nodes?
It may be that the trim feature and the nodes feature is about the only way to make the artwork really good and sharp.

I have a solid green rectangle.
I would like to create several similar green rectangles at various levels of transparency that will perfectly match the color of the solid green rectangle. Is there an easy way to do this?
I have tried matching it by eye, and can get very close:
the original solid green rectangle is R:135 G: 174 B: 155
after making a copy of the solid green rectangle, say, 90% transparent, I can play with Hue/Saturation to get around R:136 G:175 B: 154, according to the eyedropper. But I don't see any way of fine tuning the RGB/HSB/etc. absolute values in the transparent version.
I have a vector map of the United States that I am currently trying to shade in for the election. I would like to achieve an effect similar to that shown here with the lines going through the red and blue states - [URL] How would I go about doing that? I'm a novice at Illustrator and only know the basics of filling with solid colors. I have CS6 if that makes a difference.

I am a texture designer as a hobby for an online game called Eternal Lands.
Ususally I just make my own textures, but I wanted to edit an existing texture this time. The texture is for armor called Red Dragon Armor, it has red scales on it.
I want to replace these red scales (without taking away the details such as the streaking and the scratches) with gold. I tried using "Color select" then "colorify" but it didn't come out quite right.
What is the usual method for changing the color of a section of an image if there are details and you don't want to use the "bucket fill" option?
I have a solid color and apply the water color effect, though it doesn't do anything to the solid fill? I am applying the effect that is under Photoshop filters. Is this only meant to be applied to bitmaps?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to create a wavy line (the zigzag feature is not exactly what I need here) to outline a shape and then fill it with a solid color.
This is approx what I want; however the undulation needs to be more round and less peaked.
I am trying to take a handprint such as the one below and change the color of the handprint to say a light pink (or any color) but I want to keep most of the detail of the fine lines that make this handprint unique. The lines could even just come out as white as below. The main thing is to change the overall color while maintaining the fine details. I have been trying to accomplish this for over a week now in Photoshop Elements 11 and I have been unsuccessful as anything I do just totally color fills the image, which does not keep any details of the handprint.
