View 2 RepliesI've a problem with changing the color of a brush in Illustrator. I've download a brush package for Illustrator, and found a nice brush for a logo.
All the brushes are in black, and when I want to change the brush color into a other color, the whole area of the brush will be a other color.
How can I change the color of the brush?
I want to change it to either a color or transparent. I am placing detailed symbols (like this).

I pick a brush that I like first
But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically
Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?
Is it possible to change the black fill color on an image that has been traced using the silhouette option?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to select a specific color from within the image, and change all similar colors within that image to a different color. In other words, after using the Color Picker Tool to select a color from the image, I want to take the selected color (and everything in the image that is equal to or similar in color), and change them all to a different color.
I tried using the Path's Tool to create an outline in the image, and changing colors that way, but it changes all the other colors in the selection I don't want to change. I just want to change all colors in the image/selection that are equal to or similar to the selected color. How do I do this?
i just installed photoshop cc on my pc and i have being trying to use the brush tool. whenever i want to change the brush color the color doesn't change have tried so many techniques, it just doesn't work,

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I haven't been using Illustrator (CS5) for a two weeks and I always create calligraphy brushes on the go, so I don't save them. However, out of the blue, I can't change the brush diameter to change with pressure nor the other options because they're greyed out.
Im using a Genius G-Pen M712X and mac osx 10.6.8..
I can't change the Gimp brush color at all, here's a picture below of what I'm trying to do:

I'm trying to change it to an auburnish color but the brush just stays black when I paint on the canvas. As you can see I did change the color though.
I'm using Paint.net since few years, and now I'm trying to coloring a brush with a precise color. I would like the brush to be in a blue color 3914AF (for example). I tried to use different fusion mode like "screen" on a third layer that I colored with this color...but it also let the color out of the brush itself. I thought of using the magic wandle before but to have a correct result...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to create a top down view image of a pile of autumn leaves. Something like the attached image.
So how to have an isolated image of a single leaf, create a brush from it, set the brush dynamics to create a random scatter and size of leaves and paint this on a few separate layers to create the impression the leaves are on top of each other.
The problem is since the singe leaf is color and not a simple 100% black silhouette, the resulting brush is transparent. So this is no good for what I need.
Is there a way to create a brush (or some other technique) so I can simply move the mouse across the screen and it will paste full color / 100% opaque copies of the isolated leaf with brush dynamics to create random sized / angled copies of the leaf?
Or is the only way to achieve what I need going to involve making manual copies of the leaf which would take a long time?
How do I outline an image so I can change the background color without changing the image color ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI traced with pen tool a line and now I need it to make it same as this:
I tried to double click to stroke lines to bring stroke options and there are few strokes in library but not exact of this. I tried to play with size and spacing but I cannot reach the same result, how to do it?
I don't seem to be able to change my stroke in brush or pencil. It keeps resetting back to basic stroke 1pt/basic/uniform. The only way I seem to be able to go around this problem is to first paint something and then select the stroke and choose the stroke width, etc., but that's too time consuming and very difficult to work. I am using CS 5. "New Art Has Basic Appearance" is unchecked.

Example: I have some grass, and here I use the lasso tools to select a small area to subsequently be able to paint with it.
On digital tutors i learned that the blob brush size can be changed interactively. But since i use a mac in combination with a cintiq and a swiss german keyboard i cannot use the bracket keys.
They also don't work when i assign the us keyboard settings. How can the brush size of the blob brush be changed interactively?
Its a simple problem. I hope I'm missing some easy option, but no matter how I change the options in the brush dialogue, the brush always has the same orientation to the origin path. See the image below:
The brush is rather large and complex, but I've never seen this happen before. No matter which of the direction buttons are pressed, the brush remains the same. Is there another way to change the orientation with respect to the path?
I have a question regarding illustrator. Let's say I have a circle with blue fill and red stroke. And I place an image in the illustrator file. Now I want to change the red stroke of my circle to let's say a purple color by sampling the color from the image.
How can I achieve that with a eye dropper tool? Every time when I try to sample a color from the image, the whole circle will change to purple instead of just the stroke? I have tried multiple key combination, shift, alt, ctrl but they all don't work.
I need to change the default text color to a pantone spot color.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSomehow I've turned off the color selection so that I don't have a color when I select a part of a drawing on a layer. The drawing area stays black whether I have selected it or not and I don't know how to turn back on the color.
how I can turn on the color again so that when I select a line it changes from black to red or magenta or whatever?
I am trying to take a handprint such as the one below and change the color of the handprint to say a light pink (or any color) but I want to keep most of the detail of the fine lines that make this handprint unique. The lines could even just come out as white as below. The main thing is to change the overall color while maintaining the fine details. I have been trying to accomplish this for over a week now in Photoshop Elements 11 and I have been unsuccessful as anything I do just totally color fills the image, which does not keep any details of the handprint.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe problem I have is I cannot change the brush to pure black; it's only dark gray and normal methods of changing the color aren't working.I went to Brushes, selected one of the Artistic_Ink brushes. (And drew a design)
I tried double clicking on it in the Brushes palette and in the "Art Brush Options" the colorization was already set to Tints. I tried all the other options but the color of the artistic brush is still dark gray; not black.
What else can I do to change the brush to pure black?
I have Illustrator CS4. I have created an object with the Blob Brush and filled with gradient color. When I try to add the object it will not be gradient, only a new object with a solid color. Does this not work in CS4?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen drawing 'strokes' in CS6 with brush, the `Fill` color will keep reverting back to 'None' no matter what I previously set it to. I'd like both fill and stroke color to retain their values as I previously set it, but it appears that fill color will retain value only if I draw shapes that do have a fill. It seems as though illustrator responds to the fact that I am drawing strokes only by redefining the fill value to be 'none'.

My question is, can I change the pressure amount after I drew lines using brush tool. Let’s say I drew a line, it is good but still not satisfactory. I just want to do a little change in pressure amount in some segments –not all the line- on line. Does illustrator give me this option?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI try to create a patternbrush using an image. Image is created in PS and lines up nice horizontaly. Droping it into Illustrator. From there I drag and drop it onto the brush panel and create a patterbrush. I also include an empty rectangle to control the spacing ( suggested elsewhere ? ). If I apply that brush to a curved path there are always little gaps between the segments. How can I construct the brush without the gaps? There is a denimseam brush within Illustrator that does exactly what I try to achieve except I can not.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
