View 2 Replies View RelatedI've a problem with changing the color of a brush in Illustrator. I've download a brush package for Illustrator, and found a nice brush for a logo.
All the brushes are in black, and when I want to change the brush color into a other color, the whole area of the brush will be a other color.
How can I change the color of the brush?
I can't change the Gimp brush color at all, here's a picture below of what I'm trying to do:

I'm trying to change it to an auburnish color but the brush just stays black when I paint on the canvas. As you can see I did change the color though.
How can I change the color of this image brush? I'm unable to change the Colorization options as I've seen done for other brushes in tutorials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Paint.net since few years, and now I'm trying to coloring a brush with a precise color. I would like the brush to be in a blue color 3914AF (for example). I tried to use different fusion mode like "screen" on a third layer that I colored with this color...but it also let the color out of the brush itself. I thought of using the magic wandle before but to have a correct result...

There are a few things I just don't get about brush settings. Sometimes it seems my brushes go all wonky.
When I change the settings for 1 brush... say I add some jitter to a smooth brush - then suddenly the other brushes get the same jitter applied to them.
How can I set the brushes so that each brush has a different setting that doesn't change when I change any other brush settings?
p.s. I also don't get why Adobe has you lock a brush by UNlocking it? Seems to me it should be the other way around?
I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I'm having a problem with the Blob Brush tool where I can't change the basic brush to something else. Whenever I pick a brush I want and I try draw with the Blob Brush tool, the brush I picked reverts back to the basic brush. Here are screenshots:
I pick a brush that I like first
But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically
Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?
The feature where you can quickly change a brush size/ diameter by pressing Alt + hold right click (for Windows) (In Mac, control + alt + left click) is neat but is there any way to change that shortcut to a different combination? I can't find it in the shortcuts list.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHi, I'm having some issues with my brush. It won't brush any other color, I select different colors on "set foreground" and "set background" colors and no matter what I select it brushes white. Does anyone know why?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I haven't been using Illustrator (CS5) for a two weeks and I always create calligraphy brushes on the go, so I don't save them. However, out of the blue, I can't change the brush diameter to change with pressure nor the other options because they're greyed out.

After a lot of searching i found lots of great info about this kewl tool but i've yet to come across anything that tells me how to go about changing the brush.
so, should i assume this tool only has one type of brush and that i cannot change it from a soft round brush to a hard round or square or what have ya ... ??
i would have thought that i could set it to any brush in the list ... i dunno ... maybe it is right in my face ...
When using the brush tool what is the difference between using the brush in color mode on a normal layer vs using the brush in normal mode on a color mode layer?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my preferences set up for my cursor to show as brush size, but suddenly my brush shows up as a tiny dot no matter what size I change it to (I've gone all the way up to 5000 pixels with no effect when using the brush, healing brush, and clone tools). My image is 1402x996 pixels at 200ppi. I've tried zooming in with no effect. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't think what.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn CS 3 suddenly i cant change the size of my brushes anymore. Well i can from very tiny -when you only see a cross- to about 45 pixels (with a default brush) when i use the slider it can show 2500 pixels but its still the 45 pixels from before. I dont understand, everything worked fine, i was working already abour 45 minutes without any problems, and suddely this happens....can anyone tell me what could be wrong or what to do about this?

In particular the video showed a car with a colored sheet over it and the in the video the sheet was either pulled off the car or the car moved out from under the sheet (I cant remember which). Then the video showed how to use the color replace tool to change the color of the sheet throughout the entire video.

When I first noticed, it was Lighten that it wouldn't change to. I've rebooted the PC a couple of times and now it seems to be the Luminosity mode.
I've made fire brushes and want them to change color and shape over time in the animation timeline for a movie sequence. I've made a separate layer for the fire, but can't figure out how to make it so that I can change the shape and colors over time on the timeline. This is a 10 second sequence.
View 2 Replies View Relatedsetup PS so that the scroll wheel on your mouse changes the brush size? I use Aperture and this functionality is built in and I find it tremendously useful. When I export an image to PS I find it really annoying to have to reach up to the brackets to make that adjustment.
