Maya :: Connection Editor Missing Inputs Values?

I want to connect the sweep value of a "makeNurbCircle2" object to another "makeNurbCircle3" object in the Connection Editor. Strange, when I first launch the Connection Editor, I saw the sweep name, but when I clicked the second nurbs curve the sweep value disappeared. how to accomplish the task?

Maya Modeling :: Unable To Select Inputs In Channel Box / Layer Editor?

I'm having a problem with being able to select inputs in the Chanel box / layer editor ! I am using maya 2012 on a MacBook pro , for instance if I create a cylinder ,when it's created I bring up the Chanel box , I have : pCylinder1 then the boxes for adjusting the xyz axis etc , then shapes / pCylinderShape1 , and that's it ! I have no inputs tab to adjust sub-divisions etc ?? Have I not got something selected

Maya Animation :: Connection Editor Not Allowing Selection?

I'm trying to connect. On the inputs, I'm loading the control curve, on the outputs, the cluster.

I'm trying to connect the translate values.

However, it doesn't allow me to select the input first. I can select the output first, but that puts the connection backwards.

I don't see why a control curve can't be connected to a cluster? Or is something wrong with my Connection Editor?

I will start to explain what I want. I want to place an iLogic component in an assembly. When I place the component a window should appear where I can enter some dimensions. That's it basically.

I have created a user form in VBA. With two fields for dimensions, an OK and Cancel button. There is no code behind it because I don't know what to place. The code in the form should send the filled in value to the user parameter in the model. e.g. "width: 50mm" to WIDTH.
I have an iLogic component with its parameters.

I have IV 2011. And studied the iLogic examples. But the part where I'm interested in is hidden in the .dll file which is used for reference.

Photoshop :: The Missing TWAIN Connection

I recently purchased a new computer (PC) with a Windows XP OS. I needed to reload Photoshop 6.0, which I was using on my previous computer (Windows 98SE). Everything seemed OK, except that I could no longer import images from my scanner through Photoshop. If I select "import" in the file menu, instead of showing my Canon scanner as the TWAIN destination, it merely shows "annotations."

Now...After encountering this problem, I downloaded and installed the update for Photoshop 6.0 and installed it. I also downloaded from the Adobe site a Plug-In update. This, I thought, would probably fix the problem. And it did...sort of.
I installed the updates as instructed, opened Photoshop, and still my scanner was not showing up.

Then at some point I inadvertently clicked on one of the plug-in downloads mentioned above...a plug-in.dll file. When I did that, Photoshop immediately opened and the scanner was there! So, I created a shortcut to the file on my desktop. If I click on it, the program will open up and I can scan through Photoshop. If I open Photoshop using the regular icon on the desktop, though the program will seem to work normally in every other respect, I does not recognize my scanner.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Bolts In Bolted Connection Missing?

Myself and my coworkers have noticed that some times bolted connections will be missing a bolt. The bolt in question will appear again if you edit the bolted connection and hit ok and let it rebuild. But then another bolt in a different bolted connection will disappear. I just went back and forth between updating two sets of bolted connections and each time I updated one a bolt in the other disappeared. It's almost like there is a limit to how many bolts the assembly will show at once. The assemblies in question don't always have large numbers of bolts and other hardware though.

I'm running Inventor 2013 SP2 running Nvidia Driver Release 276.42 [8.17.12.7642], which is the last recommended driver. I've also run newer/older drives with no difference.

I am trying to generate bolted connections using the heavy hex bolts - this family does not appear when trying to select - I only get Cap Screws and standard Hex Bolts (amont the slotted varieties) - why no heavy hex hd. structural bolts?

Maya Animation :: Transfer Attribute Values

I am having an issue with transferring my attributes from one object to another, the transfer works, but not 100% - the animation is taking place in the wrong translation, but the translation match in the channel box. It didn't take the place of the old object, it went off beside it.

I attached a picture, the purple ball which is on the gray plane is the one I need to replace, the ball out off of the gray plane is the one I need to be in the purple balls place.

3ds Max :: Gizmo Missing In UV Editor

The transform gizmo is visible in the modeling vieworts and function normally, however if I go into the UV editor and select a sub-object, there is no gizmo. I can select sub-objects, and move them, but there is no gizmo to use to move stuff accurately.

This happened recently. No matter what preferences I reset or options I click it wont show all the attributes. I go to the school, file is fine. I can see everything when I select control handles.

I uninstalled everything, cleaned registry. rebooted. reinstalled. Still have the problem. It should show all the attributes for translate and rotation. I tried the same file on different computers and it shows them all selected.

Maya Animation :: HumanIK With Graph Editor?

I am using HumanIK with Graph Editor to animate my character. First I create pose to pose and then I go to the Graph Editor to set the timing of the animation. In the Graph Editor I drag select multiple keys to get the timing correct. Then I go to the timeSlider and copy/paste keys to make some tweaking. And here we have the problem! When I copy key/keys all are good, but when I am going to paste key/keys Maya give me a fatal error!

Reproducible:

Make a default skeleton from the Character Controls menu and then make a Control Rig. Select HipsEffector set keys on frame 1, 12 and 24. Then in the Character Controls menu go to the Controls tap and left mouse click in the empty space next to the Character image to select all. Now open up the Graph Editor and select all the keys on frame 12 and with the Move Tool shift middle drag the keys to the right.

If you at this point go to the timeSlider and copy key frame 12 and paste it somewhere in the timeSlider Maya gets a fatal error pop up.

If the action shift middle drag with the Move Tool hasn't been used then Maya haven't popped up with the fatal error!

Maya :: Human IK Channel Box And Graph Editor

I've been using Maya's HumanIK function for my model for a game I'm building. I began doing some animation, but I'm running into multiple problems. I've noticed for a while now that moving the IK handles with values from the channel box is a complete waste of time. It is unresponsive to the Channel Box numbers and how I can make it so it is. The only way to make the IKs move is to move or rotate them directly on the model with the basic manipulator tools.

Not only that, but did the animation, which for now is an idle breathing stance, between frames the animation moves on its own, beyond the scope of what I told it to move, even when its between two of the exact same frames. I haven't animated in a while, so I can't remember how I used to fix this, but since I know a bit more about animation now, I dabbled into my Graph Editor. Moving the curves have no effect on the animation either and I can't change the tangents nor use the smoothing handles.

The closest thing I found was something saying to change my Animation Settings in the Preferences to make the HIK curve default to Independent Euler-Angle curves, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Maya :: Retiming Animation In Graph Editor

I've got a problem with the graph editor in 2012 changing the values of my curves when I retime the curves. Basically, when I select all the controlers in my character rig, the go to move each set of keys over 2-3 frames, the curve values change. So the walk cycle essentially breaks, and my feet end up further in front, and the y trans value flattens out.

I've just installed hot fix 2, and that hasn't changed it. This has worked fine in every version of Maya i've used since version 3. Is it an 'new option' that i need to turn off I don't know about?

Maya :: Tangents Not Showing In Graph Editor

I have this scene with two characters, if i select a node (i.e. the hip control) and go to the graph editor it only shows one tangent. Even if i select a bunch of them in the left panel it only shows one! It seems like a bug to me because this file works fine in 2011.

I'm an Animation Mentor student and the staff have no clue of what's going on. They just advised me to stick with a working maya version for the moment, but maya 2011 is very slow for my computer.

I'm doing a walk cycle. and I have 2 feet. I have to manually switch in the numbers that result in a graph that is basically identical but with a horizontal and vertical flip.

instead of manually typing in the numbers I'd like to copy one set of keys and paste it onto the second foot. I know I can get a vertical flip by doing *=-1 but is there a way to get a horizontal flip also?

No matter what changes I make in the UV texture editor, the texture on my model doesn't change (with the colors I put on it until I finalized the UV map, it would be pretty obvious). But nothing happens. Move UVs, Rotate UVs, Scale UVs--does not change the texture on the model.

 Am I missing something? This all used to work just fine. Is it a setting change? Is this something caused by brining a Maya2010 file into 2011?

Here is an image of the broken script editor, Maya works fine I cannot figure out how to restore the script editor

I cannot type in it, I cant copy any script or edit anything.

I'm using Maya 2011, it was working fine up until about a week ago and I dont think I made any changes that would have caused this.

I also have a copy of 2008 installed and 2012 installed the script editor works normal in both, all valid copies, no cracks.

I have unistalled and re-installed 2011 several times, replaced preference folders, deleted them, replaced them with my working user preferences in both 2008 and 2012 and no luck, so I dont think it has to do with those files.

I'm in school and we have specific plugin that has not been updated for 2012 so I cannot get my animation tools to work with 2012 until they do an update. (I've tried working around that and moving the plugins but I'm not a hacker/programer/coder so just moving the plug-in to the correct 2012 folder didnt work)

How to restore the script editor to its original state? Uninstall and re-install did not work.

Maya :: Moving Overlapping UV Shells In UV Editor Leads To Misalignment?

Whenever I overlap UV shells in the UV editor either by transfering UV maps between mirrored objects, or simply copying objects, or by manually snapping UVs on top of each other, I run into a problem when I want to move those overlapping shells. When I marquee select all those UVs or hit Select Shell and then try to move all of them at once with the move tool, they become misaligned. In certain cases they snap back together or are only off a little, but most of the time, they jump around in a weird fashion.
