View 4 RepliesHow do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm looking at photos in my Library, I'd like to be able to sort them in terms of size.
A photo of 50 k is only of marginal interest for limited upload only. A photo of 15 mg is of great interest. The size tells me that it's at least moderately hi res and that there are probably a lot of pixels involved, and a good print can be made for publication or whatever. But I can't see a way to sort by image size. Is there a way? I'd like to separate a photo with a size of 720 X 480 from a photo with a size of 100 X 75.
I am using Inventor Product Design Suite 2012. When I try to exit Inventor 2012 it just hangs there indefinitely every time. I have to use task manager to shut down Inventor. It doesn't matter if I use Inventor during that session or not. It was installed with all default settings and most current patches installed. It was also installed with administrator privledges and UAC turned off. This ia a clean install on a new hard disk drive.
The AutoCAD products in the bundle will hang sometimes on exit if plotting was the last command in that session.
My system is:
HP XW 8400
Dual Zeon 3.0 GHz CPU's
4 GB Ram
NVidia Quadro FX1800 Graphics Card
Windows 7 Professional with all current updates
All drivers are current
There are no anti virus software packages on this system. The hard drive still has 120 GB free space.
In the print Module. I tell it to Print ie: a 5x7 on a 8x10 piece of paper it prints out, again ie: 5.125 x 10.125. and the cell size I tell it should be as stated. but it isnt.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am printing a large amount of print packages for a Sports Club. The photos are not printing to the size request. 5x7's 8x10... Very frustrating. What am I missing? I am printing to a Epson Stylus Photo 1400 using Epson paper and ink.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have to admit i rarely printed from LR before.most of the time i print from photoshop.but yesterday i had to print a lot of small images so i thought i try LR for it.
i wanted to print a few 35x45mm images on DIN A4 paper.
images dimensions are correct (35x45mm 360 DPI) and it prints as 35x45mm images when i use photoshop.
when i use LR and i set the cell size to 35x45mm the prints come out to small by a couple of millimeters.
LR has not so many print settings i could have messed up.. right?
I am finding that my Lightroom 5 prints are bigger than the settings that I input in the Print module.

I opened VideoStudio and it let me recover the project but I don't know how to resume saving the video. I look in the hard drive and found the video and it said it was 0 minutes long what is says when it was saving it. This means that there should be a way to resume saving it. Is there a way to that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I change the default font that is used for printing "Photo Info" in the Print Module? The only option I can find is the Font Size option, but what determines the default font that Lightroom uses to print the photo info?
As far as I can tell there is no way to change the "Photo Info" color to something other than black, is this correct?
I recently built a new PC dedicated to my photo work.
i7 2600k, 16gb DDR 3 ripjaws, 128GB crucial m4 SSD, (2) x 1TB 7200 HDDs (mirrored), Sapphire Radeon HD 5570.The first month or so of use LR worked great. However, recently I have been getting several errors and oddities.
1) Randomly closes. I can restart it without a problem and pick back up where I left off. There are not warnings or signs that it is about to close.. it just does.
2) "Unexpected end of file". Unable to edit photo. Preview does show, however. I have never seen this error before on other machines.
3) Memory dumps. I assume this is related to LR3 as that is the only program I am actively using when it happens (Chome is always open as well, however) I will have the dump files examined to know for sure.
4) Something new that just started today. In the preview bar on the bottom, as I scroll through the photos I see the previews of other photos.. some photos from other folders I took weeks or months ago. When I hover over the image it changes to what it should be.1 with a photo from this particular shoot and one from one I did over a month ago. Everything I scroll back and forth (rapidly or not) as the previews load it loads the wrong files first, multiple times (around 8 or 9 in a row) and then they slowly change to what it should be.
I am not sure if I am properly describing this error but it is really weird. Also, this seems to only happen on the images off a CF card. I was borrowing a friends D200 as a 2nd body for a party. When I scroll through the images off my SD card I do not see the issue appear. When I get to the CF portion of the folder is when I see the problem..I just updated LR today but these issues occured prior to the update and still exist afterwards.
Do I need to do a fresh install of LR?What precautions do I need to take in doing so to insure my catalogue stays intact?
What file settings and image sizing (eg- quality, resolution, colour space, pixels etc) should I use to upload photos to my webpage? I dont want to use the web galleries tool.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen you "x" out of the exit dialog, it should return to LR because you are telling it you've changed your mind, and would rather not exit. Instead it exits anyway. If this is "as designed", they should reconsider. The standard throughout my desktop and other apps appears to be that if you x out of a window, it undoes everything.

I am finding that while reviewing / rating my pics lightroom will often lose a pic (pics located within a folder on the desktop - move them to a nas drive later as faster to work from hard drive than accross the newtork when importing and exporting and creating previews etc). I will have a pic on my screen and then use the numeric keypad to rate the pic or the arrow keys to progress to the next pic and then out of the blue lightroom announces that the pic is missing. I look at the hard disk and find that there is now a .swp and .tmp file left in the directory where the pic was. eg below
I can then either rename the tmp file back to a jpg and all is OK but I have just started dragging another copy of the image from the card again. This is not just a lightroom 4 issue I used to have it in Lightroom 3. Its got to the stage where I am now keeping a copy of all images while I do my initial shortlist just incase I lose something which frustrates me somewhat.
I've created a collage to place on the front cover of my book. It is a JPG file about 6700 pixels wide and 768 px high. When I drop it onto the front cover, it shows only a small fraction of the photo and there is no way to "shrink" the photo.
How can I display the entire 6700 x 768 px photo on the cover of my book?
I am in the WHCC Roes software program, creating a postcard. On the reverse side, I want to insert a small 2" x 1" photo. I therefore exported this size from LR3 (Image Sizing, Resize to Fit, Dimensions: 2.0 x 1.0, inches, and I clicked "Don't Enlarge". It didn't work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI imported 6 new photos into LR3 just now - worked on them and then did a backup before exiting. I gave it a NEW name upon export, obviously.
To my horror I found that LR had backed up these new 6 photos into a PREVIOUS catalogue - with the previous catalogue's name as well. I now have 6 new photos which have replaced the 300 or so that were in the previous catalogue. They have all disappeared. How on earth did this happen?
After upgrading to 5.3 I don't have minimize, resize or exit icons at top right of screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just bought and installed Lightroom 5 and need to set my print size to A3 and in the future even bigger. I do not have the facility at home and need to have them sized correctly for the print shop so they do not have to waste time resizing them. I am at a loss how to do this. I cant find any settings for this size print. A3 is roughly 42 x 29.7 cm.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to place an image into a new document in photoshop elements 12, I select all-copy-paste the image (or even drag it) over to the new doc created. However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.

how I can print an image at one to one so that the print is at size as. I believe there is a quick way of calculating this in PS but unsure where to begin.
The image which will contain a ruler as a point of reference needs to be printed at its actual size.
I have photos taken with my D80 which I would like to print at 5x7.
I am using adobe photoshop CS6 and I am fairly new to it.
What I am doing is, I select Croping tool and insert 5 and 7 at top and crop the image. But, the problem is after doing cropping this way when I check Image size menu I get the size as 12.093 and 8.64
So, whats wrong am I doing?
I have attached two images clearly showing how I am doing this on my photoshop.
I am loading images from a digital SLR Camera, into photoshop. They are massive images, high resolution, but when I load them in, they are opened at 72ppi. I have been shrinking the dimensions down for printing and would usually increase the resolution (for printing). No matter what I do though, I cannot recreate the clarity that I get when I use my cheap Epson photo software that goes with my printer. I need to edit my pics
