View 6 RepliesI use Dreamweaver and HTMl to make webpages. I was going to try to make a page using PS 2.
How big should I make the image? Should I set the image as a BG or a image in DW8? Resolution?
How does the browser resize the image from PS? It doesn't automatically fit to the page does it?
I want to make navigation buttons. If not too detailed, I would like to try some roll over buttons.
When I'm looking at photos in my Library, I'd like to be able to sort them in terms of size.
A photo of 50 k is only of marginal interest for limited upload only. A photo of 15 mg is of great interest. The size tells me that it's at least moderately hi res and that there are probably a lot of pixels involved, and a good print can be made for publication or whatever. But I can't see a way to sort by image size. Is there a way? I'd like to separate a photo with a size of 720 X 480 from a photo with a size of 100 X 75.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a collage to place on the front cover of my book. It is a JPG file about 6700 pixels wide and 768 px high. When I drop it onto the front cover, it shows only a small fraction of the photo and there is no way to "shrink" the photo.
How can I display the entire 6700 x 768 px photo on the cover of my book?
I am in the WHCC Roes software program, creating a postcard. On the reverse side, I want to insert a small 2" x 1" photo. I therefore exported this size from LR3 (Image Sizing, Resize to Fit, Dimensions: 2.0 x 1.0, inches, and I clicked "Don't Enlarge". It didn't work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to place an image into a new document in photoshop elements 12, I select all-copy-paste the image (or even drag it) over to the new doc created. However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.

I thought XX had this function but I've lost how to do it. Am I just remembering incorrectly? If so, is there an easy way to do this without having to use an HTML document to test it (which is how I'm doing it right now)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter finally running out of space on my computer I've shifted my photo library onto an external hard drive. I did this outside of lightroom as I did not expect there to be too many complications
There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?
I am trying to add links to an image and then add it to my web page...I have been trying to use the slice tool in photoshop which works great for the links but I can't seem to achieve a transparent background in the save for web...
Inside of photoshop the image is transparent and when I save for web (image) the map.png file is not created...map_01.png, map_02.png and all others are created but not the map.png file When I have saved for web (html) I have tried inserting the html into an iframe on the page and the image looks and functions correctly but there is no transparent background because it is an <iframe> and not the actual .png.
I used to assign certain width numbers for my psd webpages but it creates horizontal scroll bars on small monitors.
Can i do something with my psd file using photoshop in order to make the webpage fit all screen sizes? I don't like horizontal scrollbars appearing when my site loads. On the other hand, I also don't like un-necessary space appearing on large screens when my site loads. I use photoshop 7.
I want to know what is the appropriate size(width and height in pixel) of a webpage interface?
It would take a long time to load if the size is too big, but I wouldn't be able to add too much content on the page if the interface is too small.
how to add drop shadows on backgrounds (header, footer, sides) for my blog.

I'm trying to see why one of my test machines won't export (never shows any submitted jobs under the jobs tab.) Through several other posts, oftentimes the user is asked to check the back burner web page. (localhost/backburner.) I must be doing something wrong, but I'm unable to access anything this way. I've tried all possible names for my localhost. ie. comp name, ip address, etc. I just get a 404 not found error.
