I would like to be able to export large numbers of images at a time with the same size, compression, etc. and be able to save these export settings so I can use them again. Does LR have this ability? What is it called?
View 1 RepliesI have a large job for a client who uses antique computers. They are so old that he can't run Lightroom. As a workaround, I posted the images I wanted him to look at on SmugMug and we had a disaster. Their sequencing on screen does not match my "as shot" sorting on my Lightroom (4). Is there a way I can print sequential serial numbers/ids on my images before I upload them to SmugMug so we are always talking about the same image?
View 6 Replies View RelatedExporting large file sizes. In short I'm trying to export some images for large format printing but am having trouble preparing the right size in LR4.
Specifically I'm trying to produce w 30" x h 20" images. I understand that to do this I'll need a image that is 9000 x 6000 pixels set at 300 ppi. My problem is that when I export this, with the dimensions set to width and height in pixels and resize unchecked LR4 produces an image that is 9000 x 4887?
what i'm doing wrong here? Is it simply that the aspect ratio of image is wrong to produce this size image? My concern is not producing an exact file size for printing.
I purchased LR5 and found out it can't read my Photoshop psd files. So as it stands I have about 10,000 psd files that LR can't read. Is there a easy way to batch convert so LR can read. Or just trash LR and stick with CS6.

I would like the number sequence to continue from one import to the next. However, each time I start a new import, Lightroom starts again at 00001. Is there a way to instruct Lightroom to automatically continue the renumbering sequence from one import to the next WITHOUT manually resetting the "start" number each time?

How can I graph these using Illustrator 3? When I enter them, I get this message Also, when I try to override the override the value axis numbers, it won't let me enter a number that high.
I need to do this soon and I just need a method that will work with such large numbers and maintain the accuracy of the data relationships.
Have to Graph some data that involves the population within an age group. The lowest number on the graph needs to be 3,700,000 and the highest 4,800,000. I plot the data BUT how to adjust the settings to get the lower number I need. Divisions should be "11" but
- Object; Graph; Type; Graph Options; Value Axis - but then I can not enter 3,700,000 as the minimum.
If I want to print on large paper sizes, e.g. A3 or A2, what is common wisdom:
- Set the paper size in LR and let LR blow the photo up;
- Edit a copy in PS and use the PS Size command to blow it up.
I mean if the magnifier routine in LR is the same as in PS one would expect the same result, right?
I want to blow up some prints into large formats.... How can I export in TIFF instead of Jpeg in LR5?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to resize a large batch of images to a more manageable size. I shoot a lot of weddings and find when shooting with my Nikon D800, the files are enormous when shooting Raw. Until now I would export all my vertical images first to a folder and then the horizontal ones and then resize in photoshop to say 11x17. Is there a way to resize ALL my images before I even bring them into photoshop? I'd like to resize them all (both vert and horizontal images) at one time. If I select the batch of images I'd like to resize, and them click export, it takes me to a menu which gives me the option to resize. I just don't know what settings I should use? Can I just click width and height and punch in say 11x17 and leave it at 300dpi? I want to preserve the aulaity for print purposes but reduce the file size so it's manageable for both my client and me when I then go into Photoshop to edit.

At first Lightroom 4.4 seemed to skip certain photos when exporting and now I'm unable to export more than one image at the time. How can I fix this? I didn't seem to have this problem before the 4.4 update, but then again, the 4.4 update has been running for a few days now. I run on a 32bit Windows 7 with 4GB of RAM.
Lightroom has also been a considerable lot slower since the last couple of days, yet there have been no changes at all to my computer or system or anything - nothing's changed expect for the fact that Lightroom isn't behaving as it used to.
we have a design that we want to fill with 100 pictures. Then we want to be able to replace those pictures with another 100 pictures and so on. The design will have blends and other things applied to it so when the new pictures are input they would have the effects applied.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightroom 4.3 on OS X 10.7.5 (Mac Pro with 24GB of RAM) I'm having problems stacking sets of images. The groups of images I'm stacking can range from 50 to 1400. No matter the size, stacking a group of images stalls and I have to quit Lightroom. At best I'll stack one group, quit, restart and move on to the next group. The stack doesn't show before quiting, but appears to be stacked on restart. If I'm lucky I can get a few sets of images stacked before things devolve into this dysfuncitonal cycle of stacking, quiting LR, opening LR, confirming stack is complete and stackin a new set of images. Is this a known bug? Any fixes to get past this? I'm working through 15000+ images to edit and organize for a project of mine. The total image total is higher, but I've stopped collecting images in LR for this project until I sort out this problem.

Anyways, I started to export some of the photos (made them be re named to edit# according to the original number of the photo) and I found that now the "last edited" on my exported pictures said 2014/04/09. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of engineering data, dimensions, etc, to enter into an existing IDCS6 Table. I need whole numbers to display full size, but fractions to be small size. I know I can use Open Type and select the Fractions option for each individual fraction, but that would take forever.
How do I create a style (or whatever) that will allow me to just type in the numbers and have them automatically apply small formatting to the fraction portion of the number whenever it sees a "/"?
Along a similar line, I was trying to copy table data from a PDF document from Acrobat X Pro and paste that into an IDCS6 table, so each cell is populated by the appropriate cell data from the PDF file, but didn't have any success. That would really save me a lot of time, because I have many complete tables in PDF format. The data is not protected in the PDF, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to bring it over to IDCS6.
On a Mac, OSX 10.8.5.
When I move a selection of image files from one folder to another within lightroom there is always an error with at least one image and it doesn't make the move and is left. I can then reselect this image and then move it again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter uploading images from a card reader to LR 4.1 and 4.2, the option to review large images is present for the first 10-20 photo, then LR preview will only display a small image (the size of a thumbnail.). I can uplaod all the images from preview to the LR catalog. But then I have to go into the catalog and delete unwanted images.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Illustrator CS6, and suddenly clients have been remarking that the file sizes are wrong or there's "a ton of white space around the logo." I checked it out, and sure enough, it appears that whenever I export a file, it does not crop it to the image boundary like it used to, even if I had manually adjusted the artboard to fit closely around it. After a bit of trial and error, I discovered that I have to click "Use Artboards" on the Export dialog each time. The super annoying part is that it doesn't STAY checked, AND it adds a number to the end of the file name. So I often forget to check it (not used to the extra step in workflow), and if I make a modification to the file, I can't just export over the previous version. It requires me to export it, go find it in finder, and manually delete the extra number off the file name. The extra steps are adding way too much time when I'm saving out many files. I'm about ready to go back to my previous version just from this alone.
Is there an easier way to do this? It seems like the addition of this feature would only cause extra problems...
I have created 2 web galleries--one html and one Flash. I saved them to my local drive and they work perfectly. Then I uploaded to our server (I checked to see that all folders/files made it, and they did) and then when I access the index.html file, neither the thumbnails or the full-size images show. My catalog in Lightroom 4 is spread over several hard drives and broken into years, with subfolders holding each seperate shoot. I recently replaced the harddrive that only held 2009 with a 3TB drive that should be able to accomodate 2010,2011 and 2012. I would like to move those files onto that drive within Lightroom so that it tracks where they are.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe problem I have is that my cameras internal clock drifted out and I need to adjust the capture time of a number of images by an odd amount i.e not an integer number of hours.
That is alter the capture time on multiple images by an amount such as -1h 25m 35s and they are RAW image files.
How would i accomplish this procedure in lr5. I know you can click on an image and drag it to the target folder. But for multiple images this is the ?
