I have created 2 web galleries--one html and one Flash. I saved them to my local drive and they work perfectly. Then I uploaded to our server (I checked to see that all folders/files made it, and they did) and then when I access the index.html file, neither the thumbnails or the full-size images show. After creating a new catalog in Lightroom 4, the .tif thumbs and keywords won't show in Bridge? .tif files created via the default catalog still show; and from what I can tell, the catalog setting are identical.
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter creating an animated GIF with Image Reader, I saved as optimized GIF, and uploaded the GIF to an ad server. However, after I posted it to the ad server, it wasn't working...and the properties show that it was converted to a PNG.
My Question:
Was this conversion a result of something I did...or something that needs to be taken care of by the host of the ad server?
Is there an easy way to upload about 100 images from lightroom 3 into Photoshop CS5 at one time? I'm trying to add my logo on all my images without pulling each one in at a time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm exporting images to an FTP server, via the FTP plugin, and it's moving kind of slow. I'm on an extremely fast line, 10mbps up. When I use an FTP client and drop the images in the directory, it screams fast.
Why is the LR method so slow?
I created an automated task to individually resize images and make thumbnails. Then I made a simple gallery layout in html and manually coded each thumbnail to link to the original sized image.

I'd like to resize a large batch of images to a more manageable size. I shoot a lot of weddings and find when shooting with my Nikon D800, the files are enormous when shooting Raw. Until now I would export all my vertical images first to a folder and then the horizontal ones and then resize in photoshop to say 11x17. Is there a way to resize ALL my images before I even bring them into photoshop? I'd like to resize them all (both vert and horizontal images) at one time. If I select the batch of images I'd like to resize, and them click export, it takes me to a menu which gives me the option to resize. I just don't know what settings I should use? Can I just click width and height and punch in say 11x17 and leave it at 300dpi? I want to preserve the aulaity for print purposes but reduce the file size so it's manageable for both my client and me when I then go into Photoshop to edit.
View 8 Replies View RelatedExporting large file sizes. In short I'm trying to export some images for large format printing but am having trouble preparing the right size in LR4.
Specifically I'm trying to produce w 30" x h 20" images. I understand that to do this I'll need a image that is 9000 x 6000 pixels set at 300 ppi. My problem is that when I export this, with the dimensions set to width and height in pixels and resize unchecked LR4 produces an image that is 9000 x 4887?
what i'm doing wrong here? Is it simply that the aspect ratio of image is wrong to produce this size image? My concern is not producing an exact file size for printing.
Using Lightroom 4.3 on OS X 10.7.5 (Mac Pro with 24GB of RAM) I'm having problems stacking sets of images. The groups of images I'm stacking can range from 50 to 1400. No matter the size, stacking a group of images stalls and I have to quit Lightroom. At best I'll stack one group, quit, restart and move on to the next group. The stack doesn't show before quiting, but appears to be stacked on restart. If I'm lucky I can get a few sets of images stacked before things devolve into this dysfuncitonal cycle of stacking, quiting LR, opening LR, confirming stack is complete and stackin a new set of images. Is this a known bug? Any fixes to get past this? I'm working through 15000+ images to edit and organize for a project of mine. The total image total is higher, but I've stopped collecting images in LR for this project until I sort out this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter uploading images from a card reader to LR 4.1 and 4.2, the option to review large images is present for the first 10-20 photo, then LR preview will only display a small image (the size of a thumbnail.). I can uplaod all the images from preview to the LR catalog. But then I have to go into the catalog and delete unwanted images.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've installed Smoke for Mac 2013.2 on my macbook and everything has been working great up until a day ago. Now when I go to localhost/ backburner no servers show up. When I try to import something into smoke with cache media enabled, I get the error "Cannot connect to backburner manager 'localhost' on port 0" Also my Backburner Manager seems to be stopped in the service monitor and everytime I restart it, it shuts back off again.
What I've tried
Going through "mikes_backburner_guide.pdf" and a few others to get the networking right. Uninstalling and reinstalling smoke 2013 multiple times and restarting my computer many, many times.
How long should it take for an album of photos to be uploaded? Is there any faster way to distribute an album or large batch of photos besides uploading an album?

I recently replaced the harddrive that only held 2009 with a 3TB drive that should be able to accomodate 2010,2011 and 2012. When going from develop to the web module very often images and / or thumbnails doesnt show up, the program shows only empty spaces.
I have upgraded my Lightroom from 5.0 to the new update, so I am using Lightroom 5.2 . Yesterday I went into my old Lightroom 4 on my computer, retrieved a photo, exported it and shut down. Late last night I went to open Lightroom 5.2 and when I did all the photos are a screen of light grey with a light grey border. It seems all the date is there, but no photos show in either Lightroom 5.2 or Lightroom 4.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing LR4 (not the Beta) processing JPEGS in the web gallery module seems to be taking about 5-TIMES as long as in LR 3 (or processing the same set of JPEGS to the same size and quality in Develop module in LR4).
I'm not a software engineer, but I would have thought that processing a large set of images using the same spec would be an excellent opportunity to utilise multi-core processors, and that doesn't seem to be happening on my system:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm finding that when I export a web gallery and overwrite an existing gallery (folder) the some contents of the previous folder remains.
I'm using LR 4.3 (on a Mac) and exporting using the Turning Gate web gallery.
I choose to export a gallery that overwrites an existing gallery folder which contains folders of images labeled Photos and Thumbnails (the folders have contents). The newly exported gallery does not include any images (I choose use selected photos but have none selected). LR asks me if I want to overwrite the existing folder and I click OK.
When the new folder is opened the Photos and Thumbnails folders have the images from the previous gallery. Why would this happen if I choose to overwrite the existing folder? In other programs overwriting a folder means the whole content is being replaced, not just certain things.
In the past I've also discovered that images from previous exported galleries will remain in a folder in the above scenario even if I export a different selection from the gallery. Should I report this as a bug with LR, or is exporting like this a (mis)function of the gallery?
