I just got a new D5, and unloaded the provided software. I'm confused about getting the images into Bridge? I don't want to use the Canon software for any processing, just uploading. Can I store the RAW images, or do I need to convert them so something else?

When I upload images from my SD card onto the computer using windows 8, all the images on the card are uploaded. How can I upload only the new images on the card and not those that have been previously uploaded.

I tried editing some photos in basic picassa and that worked well and was able to upload photos on fb and my blog. I then tried uploading some old photos (edited in photoshop) and they are getting uploaded. So I am sure this is a recent problem with photoshop.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've always had this problem when I create images using GIMP, where any red I use gets distorted on upload and looks blurred. I usually convert to JPEG, but have tried using BMP and PNG and it makes no odds. It only does it with red.
Why this happens with red only? Or tips for how to stop it? I know there is some compression involved but it's fine with every other possible color.
Completely new to Gimp. Is it possible to keyword images before uploading to picture libraries. This is possible in elements by using the info tab.

Then I uploaded to our server (I checked to see that all folders/files made it, and they did) and then when I access the index.html file, neither the thumbnails or the full-size images show. Now when it's on my hard drive it's fine and works - but when i upload it none on the images show up or they do show but when you put your cursor over a rollover all the images diassapear (they all turn to red crosses).

I've been trying to create a banner that streches using transparent gifs on top of a loaded jpeg background. The gif looks perfect when i save it on photoshop but as soon as i upload it on to the jpeg i get a noisey white line around the outline of the giff, does anyone know how i can minimise or erase this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter creating an animated GIF with Image Reader, I saved as optimized GIF, and uploaded the GIF to an ad server. However, after I posted it to the ad server, it wasn't working...and the properties show that it was converted to a PNG.
My Question:
Was this conversion a result of something I did...or something that needs to be taken care of by the host of the ad server?
Elements 11 won't upload raw files from a Nikon D600, I've read the various comments ref Camera Raw Plugins and I've downloaded DNG 7.3 but don't know where to put it. Is DNG 7.3 the same as Camera Raw Plugin 7.3? I have read also that maybe Elements 11 doesn't support 7.3 so may need to use 7.2.

Befoer I bought the program I made sure that it said it would work with .avi files. When I try to upload an avi it says "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed".
How do I obain and install the required codec? I have already loaded up all the software that came with the camer, and that software works fine; I assume it already has the required codec. But how can I get Elements to use the codec?
