Every so often when I save for web and try to change the resolution to something else it doesn't update. CS5 had an apply button, but there isn't one CS6. I find that I have to enter different numbers a few times until it finally updates and I can save.
View 5 RepliesI’m a PS user new to Illustrator (CS6). In PS, using the bracket keys [] to increase/decrease brush point size will simultaneously update the data displayed in the tool panel at the top.
While I can use the bracket keys in Illustrator to change the appearance of the brush stroke, it is not being updated in the tool panel input or in the stroke window…so I can essentially have (2) 3 pt strokes created with the same brush that don’t visually match but whose display properties DO match. Because I will be doing lots of editing I certainly don’t want to work this way.
I have tried saving my project as a PDF so that I can send to different people and print, but no matter which PDF options I chose in Illustrator's final step for saving as PDF I end up getting a PDF with nothing on it! It turns up as a blank page. If I do get a visible PDF it stays that way for only a few minutes and prints out in reversed colours!! This is bissare. Some Preferences or something of mine are wack??

My question is, is there a way to do that set of actions once, and then have it automatically applied to the other 399?
I have been doing some night time photography and occasionally have images in which I apply some heavy noise reduction and sharpening. I am looking for a way to recall all of the settings in the Detail tab.
I don't want to apply this set of adjustments on all of my images as I import them—just a few specific images after importing.
Can I do this in LR 4.2?
Suddenly, as in this never happened before, I can't copy and convert my .cr2 files from my camera into my Lightroom catalog. It says that the file type is not recognized. I restarted with no change, then downloaded the 4.4 update and it still doesn't work. Here is the name of one of the files I want to import. _mg_8765.cr2
I'm on Creatie Cloud and have an older Macbook Pro running ios 10.8.3.
I have previously imported some raw (.raf) files into Lightroom and done my adjustments - i then saved as jpegs and took all files out of the lightroom dashboard.
I now want to go back into a raw (.raf) file that I have re-imported into Lightroom, and apply the same settings that I did previously to the jpegs before.
Obviously, on re-importing the raw files, they have reverted to the original settings and not the jpeg settings that I saved at.
I have recently purchased a new camera (Canon 600D) and am shooting in RAW+jpg.
I make many on-camera adjustments (exposure, creative effects etc) which apply to the JPG fine. Is there a way to apply these to the RAW image also (within LR) without manually changing all the settings using the 'develop' module? For example, can I right-click on a RAW image and select 'Apply camera settings' or something along those lines?
On a side note, is there a way to ask lightroom to simply use the JPG version rather than the RAW version (on an individual photo basis)? Lightroom as I currently have it set up uses teh JPG only as a preview.
Not sure if it is relevent but I am using the latest Lightroom 3.x on Vista.
In Photoshop, I would apply 2 Unsharp Masks to a photo with different settings to achieve the look I want

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm drafting for an office that likes to create just one single main drawing with everything on top of it (ARCH, STRUC, MEP) and just work frezzing layers on each viewport so of course I have to use "maximize viewport" icon all the time and enter model space from there to work. The problem is when I try to apply hatch it just doesn't show (like if applying hatch to a frozzen layer), I'm very careful making sure that the layer is not frozen or off and still just simply doesn't show, however when I go back to model space is there.
View 7 Replies View RelatedToday is the first day with Lightroom 3, where I have over 200 photos from an event, that I am walking through each photo. I am in the develop module and I am setting the color label to red or blue. What seems to be constantly (not every time) happening is when I click the color for the label, LR will move to the next photo, but not apply the color label.
As I write this I'm trying it out to notice a pattern. What I see is photo 1, I click on the red label and the photo is labeled red and LR moves to photo 2. I click on the red label and LR does not set any color label and moves to photo 3.
Another thing that happened is I was then at photo 3 and clicked on the blue label. LR did not set the blue label but jumped to photo 4 and put the blue label on that photo
is there any way to prevent lightroom 4 to apply auto settings to the image after it is returned from treatment in a plugin? Typically, I would launch SFX or other plugins from LR4 by specifying "submit a copy of the image with LR adjustments". When finished, the result image is returned to LR4 and auto settings are applied to it, as if it was freshly imported. This is very annoying. I have every time to reset all settings manually (exposure, whites, blacks, etc) one by one. Is there a way to treat plugin returns differently from importing images from a disk/card?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed when creating assemblies, applying a positional constraint, the parts don't move. In order to get the parts to "move" to their constrained position I have to try and drag them with the mouse then they snap into place. Also updating the assembly works as well.
What setting could I have changed so that once I press apply on a constraint it moves the part immediately?

1. Facing problem of frequent CorelDraw X6 crash while working and seemingly most of the times it even don't sent any error messages to Corel support.
2. Transformations docker doesn't accept enter for applying changes, it only responds when we hit apply. It is good to move through options by using TAB, but it should accept ENTER as “APPLY” as we make desired change in any parameter. Mostly I prefer dockers to property bar.
3. Open and Import dialogue boxes don’t get cancelled as we hit ESC key.
4. Using pick tool double click a group of objects including paragraph text and get desired rotation is still a havoc despite we are using x6 (64-bit). It kills much of our time. See screen shot below:
5. I am also facing problem in EPS editable import as shown in the screen shot below "An error occurred while processing PIEE.eps. The file cannot be opened."
The file is created in x6 and has 2 pages for two print jobs. Both pages has flatten background text and fountain lenses to RGB bitmap. All texts converted to curves. Page 1 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable successfully. Page 2 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable - shown above error. I have also tried importing this page to a fresh file and then created fresh EPS but got the same erroneous result.
As far as my experience with PDF is not good, because sometimes PDF also produces undesired result on RIP specially as RGB images, bar codes, drop shadows etc. I believe that EPS files are far more reliable in prepress jobs.
I'm having a problem where my settings are not being saved.
I like to have the font be Arial, 12 Point and centered. When I upgraded to SP3, I had to start Corel X5 while holding the F8 key because it would keep crashing. After this, I set everything up the way I like it, but it's not keeping my setting for font, size and alignment. It keeps reverting back to Arial, 24 point, Left every time I restart Corel X5.
The way I try to save the settings is in a blank document, I change the font to 12 and X artistic and paragraph text, then I change the alignment to center and X artistic and paragraph text. Then I click CTRL-J, Document - check Save options... then click ok. Previously this always worked. Under SP3 it doesn't.
I have a problem with CorelDraw X4, some tools like save, save as, copy, cut, export doesn't work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBasically the problem I have after just downloading CS4 is that, other than loving the improvements to the program, I'm irritated by the fact that I can't see the effect of any adjustments I make in the layers pallete until I click on the actual picture, or zoom it in or out. Occasionally it will update on it's own but most of the time not. Anybody ever had this problem? Could it be related to the GPU thing -- maybe need new drivers?

Before it worked fine now this error appear (not enough GPU power). I work on standard "box" PC, so no power management issue here, I reinstalled the program and checked DX, even got the latest 4.5 Microsoft framework net. I have got other NewBlue Essentials that work fine. Is there a newer version of that Titler (recognizing correctly newer graphic drivers), or maybe some modifications in Windows registry to bypass WRONG GPU recognition?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI try to 'lock' a beam system that I have used for rafters to the underside of my roof.I've successfully got the walls and gables linked in with the roof, and have set up reference planes for cutting of rafters (that should - I think - mean that rafters can move slightly - or change pitch, whilst maintaining same cut extents at rafter ends).
Trouble is - the rafter Beam System does not update with the roof.
My creation approach for the Beam System was to select the underside of the roof as the 'Working Plane' - then edit the boundary to project beyond the walls and form the overhang. I projected it further than I required to provide the excess needed in case I wanted to push the cut plane outwards.
I assumed that selecting the underside of the roof as the working plane would 'lock' the two together, but it doesn't appear to work.Have I missed a straightforward step to link the two elements together ?

Now i enlarged holes in the source part, but there was an error message in the derived part that the export status of the source isn't on, and that i should use design doctor.
Where is the control on the export status and what is it, i didn't see anything unusual in the parameters.

I cannot make new holes in the derived part in the place of the old ones since it says i have first to exclude the source.
Why does Lightroom not "see" the photos from my catalog since the latest update? Ever since the latest update it says file not found but I can open and work on the photos in other programs. How do I get the prgoram to "see" my photos again?
