View 5 RepliesI have an xref file named Base.dwg. I need to replot a drawing (Overall_Road.dwg) which has Base.dwg as xref
I changed the line type of one layer in the Base.dwg file. Changed from DASHED2 to continuous line. Saved and closed Base.dwg
When I open Overall_Road.dwg, the line type doesn't update. I opened "Layer" window and under Linetype, it shows "Base|DASHED2".
How can I fix it to show the updated line type?
It's my understanding that a change made to a disconnected smart preview will automatically update the main database when connected to the drive containing the photo and database. Mine doesn't seem to work automatically. After reconnecting i have to save the metadata for the changed files on the version of Lightroom with the samrt previews and then read the metadata on the primary version of Lightroom. Do both versions of Lightroom need smart previews installed? Should I use a certain procedure of which i'm not aware? I have an iMac for my main computer and a Mac Book Pro for the remote computer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing 2013 sp1.1...After I change the hole size in the part, the callout in my hole note does not update. (crazy, I know).
If I pull a new hole note after the change, it has the correct dimension. But, if I change the hole size again, this new hole note does not update.I put the part on a new idw and it updates correctly, so somehow the idw is hosed.
Basically i have created a good size IAM and now need to lighten all of the appearances up. Can i change them in the i am and have it update the individual IPT files at the same time? or will i have to open all the ipt files and change it and save?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have created a iLogic form for my skeletal part file that drives my assembly. The issues is that it is a few steps to get the assembly to update.
Current Steps: open skeletal part fileuse form to change size parameterssave new skeletal size changesopen assemblypress the update button if changes haven't already been applied...I have tried to link these parameters directly to the assembly and tried to create the form using those linked parameters from the skeletal part file. It looks like it would work, but I am unable to edit the parameters once the form is created.
I am hoping that the I can skip opening and editing the skeletal part file.open assembly fileuse form to change size and dimensions, and all part files and drawings are updated to that new shape and size.
I have tried to create a global Form in the skeletal part file, and tried to update the size changes in the assembly file.I was able to changes the inputs this way, but once I pressed the apply I get an error with no changes. what I want but I am not very up to date on iLogic or these forms. I will be searching Google for now.
I own a Macbook Pro with retina display. When I last updated it I experienced problems in Photoshop CC with the color wheel spinning often for no apparent reason. I had never had this happen so I saw in the troubleshoot Photoshop article in Adobe help to set the preview size to none.
do I have to suddenly disable parts of Photoshop on such a capable machine as this? I am glad the color wheel stopped spinning but I'm not glad that I have to find a way around having no font previews in Photoshop CC.
i just noticed that there is no manual update file for ACR 7.2. most of our company computers are offline.
how should we update them without a manual update file?

adobes says the final ACR 7.2 update is available through the CS6 update.well that is of no use when you have offline computers. This update will be released as manual update file too?! any infos?
this has been only happening since updating this morning from 13.0.1 - 13.0.2...I have a problem where if I create a new curve layer and then press the preview button on/off it fails to re render the preview and nothing else happens until I OK it. I also notice that it creates history entries on the history panel like I'm making adjustments? Weird!
There's been a few other noticeable things too. The liquify window now doesn't draw as nice and smoothly as it did with 13.0.1. The cursor jitters a lot and control isn't as smooth.
Photoshop CC dosn't open after I updated it last night. I tried resatrting my iMac couple time and it didn't work. I have 2011 iMac 2.8 Core i7 with OS X 10.8.4

View 6 Replies View RelatedBasically the problem I have after just downloading CS4 is that, other than loving the improvements to the program, I'm irritated by the fact that I can't see the effect of any adjustments I make in the layers pallete until I click on the actual picture, or zoom it in or out. Occasionally it will update on it's own but most of the time not. Anybody ever had this problem? Could it be related to the GPU thing -- maybe need new drivers?
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow can you undo the Photo menu option "Update DNG Preview & Metadata" in the Develop module?
I accidentally hit this at which point Lightroom added a "From Metadata" entry to the history for the file. It also seemed to update the preview for the file (as seen with before / after).
I tried to undo the change, but all Lightroom did was remove history items ("From Metadata" remained at the top, all the edit sliders stayed the same (even though history was being removed) and the "before" image was permenantly changed.
Not even resetting the image from Library -> Photo -> Develop Settings -> Reset, then "Update DNG Preview & Metadata" worked.
Is the only way back from this operation to delete the DNG and reimport? It's not as if Lightroom warns you that the operation cannot be undone as with the "Read Metadata from File" command.
I'm using Lightroom 3.6 on Windows 7 SP 1.
I have lost the print preview after 6.2 update. Is there any solution or am missing something at.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that NewBlueTitlerEx stopped to work after graphic driver (catalyst bundle) update to the newest stable certificated version. Before it worked fine now this error appear (not enough GPU power). I work on standard "box" PC, so no power management issue here, I reinstalled the program and checked DX, even got the latest 4.5 Microsoft framework net. I have got other NewBlue Essentials that work fine. Is there a newer version of that Titler (recognizing correctly newer graphic drivers), or maybe some modifications in Windows registry to bypass WRONG GPU recognition?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just installed Extension Manager Update 6.0.5.9 yesterday and today I've get a wired problem with my bambo tablet.I've used this tablet for 3-4 years without problem. The problem I've now is when I drag lasso tool on an image to make selection it doesn't make a selection even it is showed in the history state that I've used lasso,or magnetic lasso.
My machine is a Mac Pro 2010,Quad-Core Intel Xeon running on Lion 10.7.5 and my bamboo driver is the latest version 5.3.2-2. Even now I've change to use freeform path I've still cannot change form path to selection.
I'm using AutoCAD Map 3D 2009.
I've created a simple drawing in CAD that contains a cropped JPEG, a two toned hatched polygon in behind it two MTexts overlaying all.
I cannot view them in either normal plotting, pdf format, jpeg format and even dwf.
I've increased the ram used in the "Raster Extension Options" (2000 MB), I've set the plotting in the "Process Document" to "...In computer", I've saved it in older formats (2000/2004/2007), I've placed the drawing on both our public drives as well as the local, I've adjusted the "Raster and Shaded/Rendered Viewports" & "OLE" settings in the "Device and Document Settings" (None to Best). Not to mention the other variations in the plot menu.
I've tried everything I can think of and have read through several threads here and nothing works.
What drives me nuts about this, is that I'm able to print from a layout with no problems a 3D drawing, with 2D hatching, an extensive title block with hatching and a secondary overall viewport (minimal detail) in the main viewport area.
I have a problem with previewing effects in Illustrator. When I do this:
- create or select object
- go to appearance panel
- choose FX -> Stylize -> Drop shadow...
- check Preview in the effects window (it works as expected)
- now uncheck the Preview checkbox (when unchecked, the fx is still visible)
So, unchecking this Preview checkbox doesn't work right. It is very annoying. It is broken for most of the effect in illustrator. Strangly, it works fine with rounded corners effect. But other effects... not.
I have LR3. Following function doesn't work for me: there is no preview in Navigator for presets.
Should be: " To preview the effects of a preset on your photo, move the pointer over it in the Presets panel and view the effects in the Navigator panel."
I try to 'lock' a beam system that I have used for rafters to the underside of my roof.I've successfully got the walls and gables linked in with the roof, and have set up reference planes for cutting of rafters (that should - I think - mean that rafters can move slightly - or change pitch, whilst maintaining same cut extents at rafter ends).
Trouble is - the rafter Beam System does not update with the roof.
My creation approach for the Beam System was to select the underside of the roof as the 'Working Plane' - then edit the boundary to project beyond the walls and form the overhang. I projected it further than I required to provide the excess needed in case I wanted to push the cut plane outwards.
I assumed that selecting the underside of the roof as the working plane would 'lock' the two together, but it doesn't appear to work.Have I missed a straightforward step to link the two elements together ?

Now i enlarged holes in the source part, but there was an error message in the derived part that the export status of the source isn't on, and that i should use design doctor.
Where is the control on the export status and what is it, i didn't see anything unusual in the parameters.

I cannot make new holes in the derived part in the place of the old ones since it says i have first to exclude the source.
Every so often when I save for web and try to change the resolution to something else it doesn't update. CS5 had an apply button, but there isn't one CS6. I find that I have to enter different numbers a few times until it finally updates and I can save.

I have a corridor that uses the Urban Sidewalk subassembly along the streets. During my rough design phase I set the outside boulevard widths to 2.00, and create a corridor surface using the Top Links as breaklines. I then do my lot grading, using that surface as a surface pasted into my FG surface. All of my side yard swales go up to the edge of the corridor's boulevard, with the elevation set 0.20 below the corridor surface. Once all of the design is done, I go back to the corridor and change the boulevard width to 0, thus forcing those side yard swales to now go up to the back of walk.this creates a small depression where we place small drain inlets.
Herein lies my problem, when I change the boulevard width from 2 to 0, the corridor surface never changes to reflect the 0' width. It's as if the break lines that I told the surface to use from the Top links are holding fast. The ONLY way I have been able to get the surface modeled correctly is to completely delete the corridor surface and create a new one and recreate the boundary, which I then need to re-paste and move to the top of the Edits in my FG surface. Just deleting and readding the Top Links from the corridor surface definition does not solve this.
the corridor-created breaklines do not get revised when the corridor changes, and cannot be edited/deleted by the user. Perhaps I am doing, or not doing, something that is forcing these breaklines to persist..
