I'm having a couple of problems: 1) if I put the network lines on the map it looks too flat so I think I need to apply them to a slightly larger invisible sphere; 2) when I add a blur/outer glow to the lines they do not wrap cleanly on the sphere, they kind of break up and distort. Plain lines do not seem to have this problem but objects with effects do.
I really want to learn how to wrap an object to a sphere... is there any way to do it? or a tool? For example is an arrow wrapping around a sphere?

I'm using CS2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I create a halftone pattern where the dots are the shape of a honeycomb cell or polygon rather than a circle?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been creating them in black and white in CS6, then converting to vector via image trace since that's the only way to make them a perfect circular vector that I've found, but how do you convert it to a color afterward? It won't let me simply change the fill color, nor will it let me select the black dots with the white arrow. I had also selected "ignore white" while image tracing so it had a transparent background. ! I'd really like an orange halftone vector, and when I make it a color from the start it creates it out of multiple colors. I want it to be a solid color without any circles overlapping.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem that's been driving me nuts for the past couple of weeks. I have a collectible playing card that I' like to reprint . The card was printed using an offset press and so there is a distinct halftone pattern on the card. What I'd like to do is to scan the card, remove the pattern in photoshop (Noise->Median), use CorelDraw to print a ps which would reproduce the exact same pattern, and print it using Ghost Script with my Laser Jet 200 (600 dpi).
Here's a link to the card:[URL]......
So I have 3 questions.
Is it possible to reproduce the halftone pattern ?
If yes, can I do it with my printer ?
If no, what printer could do it ?

Then I want to add a 15 degree rotation for each new image. The problem is that every time I select the rotate tool and click on the image to enter the value, the sphere is moved slightly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI finally found a halftone printing solution to my HP 5100 tn, My problem is that if I set an lpi (any), I cannot get 100 percent black no matter what color pallete I use. Everything that should be solid prints at about 90% halftone.
using Windows 7 64 bit, corel X3 with Ghostscript 9.05
print of Gray0 resulting in halftone through HP Laserjet P2035. Two days back it was perfectly printing as solid black. Through MS Paint and MS Word, it is printing black as solid black but not from CorelDraw x6.1. What and where settings got changed, is unknown? Screen shots attached.
Using F8, workspace resetting is tried but results are same i.e. Gray0 as halftone.
I know there are many ways to model this but how would some of you go about it? Would you create a sphere then cut out a spline circle for the ports? Would you create a box then turbo smooth it out to a sphere?

Im currently working on a project with and irregular slab edge and will like to show the slope fom a 9" to a fix 8 in edge. I'm using autocad architecture 2012.
I want to put my picture in a frame. The frame should be such that the image is wrapped around the entire frame(including top, bottom, left and right side). In technical terms I believe it is called as 'gallery wrap'. You can find an example of this frame in this link

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy text will not wrap around a map that I have created in CorelDraw. The map consists of lines (depicting roads, streams, and railroads that were drawn using the freehand pen) and place names and titles. In both contour and square wrap settings, the text box only recognizes the text objects on the map and ignores all the line objects. I have grouped everything on the map and it shows as one object. Is there a simple solution so that my text will properly wrap around the map. This problem is holding up my publication schedule!

Every time I type text into a box (wrap) it's invisible - maybe white (but background is white, so it look invisible). How to set the color by default. Back to black.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to create a gold bar in the shape of the map of Texas that looks 3D. I need it to look real. I have a pic of a gold bar with the embossed 999.9 and the serial number. I have taken an outline of the map and extruded it so it looks 3D. I cannot figure out how to fill the extrusion with the bitmap. I want to wrap it so it looks like real gold on the front and sides with embossing undistorted. I am using Draw X4.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI require an equally spaced fine line shading in an extrusion. I will take you through my process and then get to the problem.
I create an object (usually curved text), extrude it and break the extrusion apart; then I use the fill tool and open fill color dialog, change to palettes and select black, 20%; next I click on options and select Postscript options, from there I select line and an angle and frequency. This produces exactly the fine line shading I need, when I print it on my postscript printer.
The problem is that when I save the file as an .eps or .ai file to send to another prepress, the screen in their file always show up as dots not lines. I have not been able to find a way around this, the other fill types use tiling and that does not produce the same consistent shading.
This is a problem that comes from previous versions. When applying a figure using Wrap resource to a Paragraph Text in columns: most of times the basis of the text is not aligned correctly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.
