Ive been trying for days to create this type of halftone effect to photos in photoshop,
how to create those Colour halftone effect?
I had seen alot of advertising poster using those effects but i simply cant get to the way they did.
I tried the colour halftone in my PS 7 but its not what i want.
For example, I have an image of a face, Is there any way I can have this face to b seen as dots?
The Dots usually are spaced at different distances and in different sizes.
The final design I send over has to vectorized.I am going after vintage look.how to lay vector beat up/distressed textures over design, merge them and delete them etc. BUT I am not after that type of vintage/distressed look. I am more after having certian parts of the design being faded here and there. I have attached an example pic.I can't use opacities and it has to be one color.
I attached a halftone tutorial that does EXACTLY what I want, and it works perfectly BUT they are doing it in Photoshop, is there a way to do this or something like this in illustrator? URL...
What I am referring do is the image of the astronaut comprised of tiny little dots, with the color of the background clearly showing through. I really like this effect and I was wondering how I could recreate this effect. I am looking for photoshop tutorials but I have a feeling I am searching for the wrong thing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a shape made from the blob tool made into hafltones. I do not want it as a gradient, just equal sized halftones throughout the shape. Is this possible?
When I do it using Effects/pixilate/color haltone it makes multiple colored halftones, whereas I just want one color. And when I change the channel's it comes up with similar results.
I have a problem that's been driving me nuts for the past couple of weeks. I have a collectible playing card that I' like to reprint . The card was printed using an offset press and so there is a distinct halftone pattern on the card. What I'd like to do is to scan the card, remove the pattern in photoshop (Noise->Median), use CorelDraw to print a ps which would reproduce the exact same pattern, and print it using Ghost Script with my Laser Jet 200 (600 dpi).
Here's a link to the card:[URL]......
So I have 3 questions.
Is it possible to reproduce the halftone pattern ?
If yes, can I do it with my printer ?
If no, what printer could do it ?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI finally found a halftone printing solution to my HP 5100 tn, My problem is that if I set an lpi (any), I cannot get 100 percent black no matter what color pallete I use. Everything that should be solid prints at about 90% halftone.
using Windows 7 64 bit, corel X3 with Ghostscript 9.05
print of Gray0 resulting in halftone through HP Laserjet P2035. Two days back it was perfectly printing as solid black. Through MS Paint and MS Word, it is printing black as solid black but not from CorelDraw x6.1. What and where settings got changed, is unknown? Screen shots attached.
Using F8, workspace resetting is tried but results are same i.e. Gray0 as halftone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI require an equally spaced fine line shading in an extrusion. I will take you through my process and then get to the problem.
I create an object (usually curved text), extrude it and break the extrusion apart; then I use the fill tool and open fill color dialog, change to palettes and select black, 20%; next I click on options and select Postscript options, from there I select line and an angle and frequency. This produces exactly the fine line shading I need, when I print it on my postscript printer.
The problem is that when I save the file as an .eps or .ai file to send to another prepress, the screen in their file always show up as dots not lines. I have not been able to find a way around this, the other fill types use tiling and that does not produce the same consistent shading.
I have problem getting that smooth effect especially in the center of the piecehow to achieve this with a brush, i tried with lower opacity, flow, brush settings, the effect is kind of liquify, like the guy used smudge kind of, but not really[URLs]...
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can we recreate the below border effect (not the center content, but the outer border)? In particular, we'd like to recreate the effect whereby the border fades out half way up the content area, and there appears to be a slight gradient which also starts at the bottom and fades out half way up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a simple problem I need to work around. I need to make this "star" shaped object into continuous vector line with a ring inside, but when I use Create Boundary to get the outline, Corel dislocated the center according to the whole object itself and doesn't keep the center of the circles as needed.
Create Boundary ----> I added the inner circle to illustrate.
Alternatively, I though about creating the object with the ring cut out from the start, but neither Smartfill nor Create Boundary provide wanted results (they simply ignore the inner circle). Perhaps there's another way, I don't know, I'm a total beginner.
Im taking my first crack at using DRAW to design a web site, instead of html.
I like the overall look of what I created, but when I export, the drawing is left aligned in the browser window. How do I get it to center?, or do I have to go in and edit the html/css later on?
can I set the drawing to dynamically grow shrink to fit the user's browser? so far my web page is static. How do I change that?
I want to place a word into a square box and it should be in the centre of the box. How can I center it? I want equal spaces in between the word and the box for all four sides.

Im triyng to create a centerline from a line that was converted to outline then outline converted to Object. Once its converted to a object can i create a center line inside that object
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I resize an object (for example, I want to extend a horizontal line by 20%, using the % boxes in the property bar), the resizing action is executed from the center of the object itself (so, 10% to the left and 10% to the right in my example).
If that object is snapped to other objects, resizing from the center automatically unsnaps them and so snapping must be done again.
Is there a quick way (such as double clicking a node, or so) to resize an object not from its center, but from a side or a vertex of it?
In some previous versions, when I zoom In/Out with mouse-scroll it will zoom to mouse pointer and centre to the screen itself, but in Corel draw X5, the zoom function works properly but not center to screen the mouse-pointer and document.

I'd like to put a circle dead center around an object. How would I do this?
Also (related), I'd like to at times use Corel Draw more like a CAD program and specify the radius when I round corners on a rectangle or give dimensions when I create a new shape (line, rectangle, circle etc). Is this possible?
And in CAD, many times I'll use the divide and break feature to align centers some objects created along a straight line. Is this possible in Corel Draw?
I am trying to center objects in the page but for some reason the Object Position is not working. I am doing a 24x36 poster and when I type 12 in to center the object it is not working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm trying to cut out the centre of the letter R below. Normally I break curve apart, select the centre, and trim it from the outer. I can then select the centre piece and remove it. As you can see, this has worked with the letters P & O. When I do it with the R it seems to have worked, to the point where I can even select the centre and remove it, but when I put it back over a coloured background, it is still white.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using CorelDRAW X4.
I would like to make the number (1) to be aligned in the center of the box, so I select all and then (Click+C & E) as in the attached file.
I noted that I got the vertical in the center, but I got the left of horizontal a little bigger. I knew that I could get it centered both horizontally and vertically by converting texts to curves. I, however, don't want to convert it to curves because I need to edit the texts.
I'm trying to find a way to do this:
Make an object (eg an hexagon), and resize it from it's center radially, by dragging a node (and not those black squares). What I got so far, is, using the pick tool, clicking on it to go to rotation mode, hold shift and ctrl, clicking on a node (eg, from a point or the middle of a side), and dragging it.
It works IF i change it's angle, but strangely, if I keep the same angle (just resizing it), nothing happens, neither it gets resized, neither i can clone it (with right mouse click). It only keeps a blue shadow of what would be the object, without doing nothing.
What I want to do with this is, for example, create a square and an hexagon inside it, allign one of it nodes with a node of the square, and resize the hexagon by draggin another node of it until it touch (using snap to objects) another side/node of the square. As I said, it can be done if I resize by the rotation, but only if I change the angle, wich is strange for me.
Am I missing something? It's really weird that I can almost do this without problems, but then nothing happens at all. I wish I could show this visually, would be way better to explain the problem.
Is there a way to make an outline that is either only on the inside or the outside of the center line of the outline? I know that the default in Corel is to center the outline on the center line of the outline.
