how I can create a similar looking image, I want to learn to make my spheres into perfect circles and I want to learn how they do the effect at the top center to gather all the words tightly at the tip.

For example, I want to take a bunch of pictures and make a letter "t," then I want to take a bunch of pictures and make a letter "h." And eventually I want to be able to spell out "The WP Video '05-'06." Would anyone be able to assist me with this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a series of sphere images that are to be used as an animation, whereas in my case I have a transparent background layer and a layer containing a sphere. Then I want to add a 15 degree rotation for each new image. The problem is that every time I select the rotate tool and click on the image to enter the value, the sphere is moved slightly.

I'm having a couple of problems: 1) if I put the network lines on the map it looks too flat so I think I need to apply them to a slightly larger invisible sphere; 2) when I add a blur/outer glow to the lines they do not wrap cleanly on the sphere, they kind of break up and distort. Plain lines do not seem to have this problem but objects with effects do.
I used some white rectangles to change the shape of black letters on a white background. Now I want this combination of letters & rectangles to be just letters when I select them etc. (make the white rectangles blend with the background and still have the shape they left on the letters) How can I do that?

I want to create a layer from selecting only some words from an mtext or text entitty.
Is it possible to highlight and select only part of the text from an mtext using a lisp routine ? similar to how Adobe Reader can select text.
I'm having in CS6..I have a text block with a couple of styles in it (headings have one look, body copy has another). Here and there, some words are on bold. When I select some bold words and change the color of them, some other bold words in some other paragraph also change color. Not all bold words... just some. The behavior is unpredictable, so the exact words that get changed will vary, but once it starts to happen it won't stop. When I try to manually fix the other words (hopefully I noticed them before my client!) and change them back to black, sometimes that change reverses the color on the original words too. Sometimes not; it's like the effect is sometimes two-way and sometimes one-way. It becomes a real logic puzzle sometimes, a maddening game where every change affects something else and you can't find the combination of actions that will do the simple thing you want.
I haven't noticed it happening with non-bold text, but that could just be coincidence.
When this happens, the only fix seems to be to rebuild the text from scratch in a new text box. (Copying it all and re-pasting it does not seem to work—unless possibly I paste into a different document entirely.)
I was given this image from a client which is their outdoor sign with their logo and name. The problem is I'm not sure if there are any easy ways to get the word cut out of the image. I have been selecting each individual letter one at a time. I tried selecting the sign and do an invert but that doesn't seem to work very well, I think it's because its outdoors so there is alot of things going on.

I created a new 3D object with the preset sphere from a layer that is a grid of my client's products. As the sphere rotates, the black edges of the grid straighten out as they come around to the front, and then get wobbly again as they approach the edge of the sphere. At first, I made the black part of the grid from a bitmap mask (which had caused a problem in an earlier 3D file) but no, same problem when I made the grid from a vector mask.
Pretty sure it is not a hardware issue as I have gone thru all the optimization steps for using the Mercury Graphics Engine on my quad-core iMac 27" with a supported video card, and the latest version of OSX.
I'm trying to make a marble ball that looks wet, thus a reflection. I can pretty much get the ball (albeit not extremely realistic) and some what of a reflection idea going on after looking at some reflection tuts, but the reflection just doesn't seem to wrap right or something, it just seems...unnatural.
