I need to create two separate enclosed objects (a & b) – both of which individually can be reduced/increased in size using the contour tool.
I initially created a rounded oblong shape and added two wavy lines. I'm having trouble removing the unneeded horizontal lines and connecting the other lines up.

I'm working in Corel Draw 12 and I have a problem to connect two nodes of different lines which aren't the nodes at the beginning or end of the lines. That problem I've solved, (by selecting both lines, then using function combine, selecting for e.g. starting node of first and ending node of second line and joining them) but I really have hard time making this out. The function join isn't apparently working for nodes in the middle of the lines.
I am very much new to AutoCad, but have learned quite a bit about it in the last few days. As a part of the learning I have been building a 3D model of the shed my dad is building. But I ran into a problem on the roof and cant seem to figure out how to click everything into place.
My problem: I need to keep the size and shape of all objects while also connecting the objects to the main structure. I need to keep A and B connected to the main structure and adjust the angles so that both meet at C. But if I move one then another moves out of place. (In the pic B is out of place) All I want to do is hold the beams at A and B in their spot while adjusting the rotation on both beams to meet at C all at the same time. I have tried to fine adjust the rotation on the beams individually but still cant get them together. I cant seem to get the constraints feature to work, because I guess it only works in 2D. I have tried to use the align tool but it just throws everything haywire.
Let's say, for example, that i create an object with a size, then i create other objects with other sizes.
When I try to see the size of the first object created it says that has the same size like the other objects which have other sizes (it's even obvius cause they r bigger on my screen:D).With all the other versions of Corel i didn't had those problems, but X5 does that.
I need to connect a rapport with others(print on fabric for textile industry). It looks like a mosaic, however the pieces doesn't connect side by side at the same height, but side by side sometimes higher, sometimes lower.
The thing is: when I try put then together the limit of the layers create an edge that prevents connection. I'm sending some images to try to make this clear: 1- all layers together with the thin line between the 2- closer to junction 3- closer 3200% to see what really happens.
I am trying to make a series of curved walls with windows in them as I place the windows they do not place into the walls because of breaks in the wall line between them. I have atempted to make a line out of the wall and convert the line into one single wall segment but it always breaks back down to the geometry of arc+ arc+circle exctra is there a way to make the wall one single wall or to make a series of arcs into a single polyline so I can convert it into a wall face?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm having a little issue with connecting lines and circles but not sure how to shorten the question to do a search on here. I have 2 concentric circles (the two circles form the walls of a round tower wall) which have 2 lines (representing a wall) passing through them. I want to join the circles from the circumference to the lines, but each time I try to do it the line seems to default to the center of the circles and to the endpoints of the lines which is not what I want. The eventual aim will be to remove a section of the circles and the lines where the new line connects to them to form an opening in the walls.
Ive tried <shift>right click and selecting tangent on the circles but I cant figure out what to do on the lines and it constantly defaults to the end of the line not to where I want to intersect the lines.
How i can weld objects to just add points wherever two line cross each other?

The splines are drawn by connecting the ends of the two lines and then the tangent direction set by hovering over the end grips. I then use the FLATEN command to convert these splines to polylines that can have their lineweights set to a value other than 0. My problem is that sometimes when i use the FLATTEN command, the spline is erased.

Basically when I use Outline Pathfinder in Adobe Illustrator, then bring back into corel, sometimes get a lot of redundant objects. I already set the settings in Adobe Illustrator to minimize that as much as possible.
Whenever I use the Trace option to convert, the result is an image filled with closed objects. Because I use vector images with a laser machine, and because the laser cuts everything it reads, the "double" lines (shared lines of the objects) get cut as many times as they appear. So I have to go in and break apart and delete segments & this goes on for days. I've tried welding, but welding makes one of the objects disappear completely. I've tried changing from cdr to svg, exporting & importing, hoping it would simplify, but that doesn't work either. Is there a way to have the bitmap converted to simple lines instead of overlapping objects?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have finished my works using only one layer( a bad habit I know) and now I need to export them as PSD, and as You know it needs Layers so it can be editable on Photoshop.
I know the fact that I should import all the objects in single Layers, ie creating thousands of Layers for all the work, new layer for each object I import.
But is there any option for easy extraction of objects into single layers, one click option or much easier than going individually through each of them?
If not available, this type of option would work for CorelDRAW or any vector program, be really more effective and stay in touch with the requirements of the industry, especially when it comes, on creating vectors for web or apps.

Problem with command from Home tab - Draw panel - Curves drop-down - Create Curves Between Two Lines OR Create Curve on Two Lines.
If you select the Degree option, it draws a zero length curve when you type in a valid number for degree of curve. I have tried entering it in decimal format and as ##d##'. NOTHING WORKS!
I often produce graphics in CorelDRAW, export it as en eps file and insert it inside a MS Word document as an image and finally convert it to pdf. This way my vector graphics (often linedrawings with or without fill) usually is preserved in the final pdf document. I can zoom in and the lines keep on displaying perfectly sharp. This is important, since it easily looks bad when thin lines are turned into bitmaps, even when watched from a distance.
Now, in some graphics I created today, I had a circle with fountain fill and outline (symbolizing a sphere) put behind a filled rectangle, which had a uniform transparency applied to it. In the resulting pdf file, the 'sphere' was turned into bitmap. Inside CorelDRAW everything was vector graphics, but something was loast in the process. what happens with the graphics in the different steps in the process and eventually could explain a workaround to make everything look as vector in the final pdf file.

What I'm looking to do is show the hidden lines blocked by a part in a plan view but not all of the hidden lines. Ie. I have a top view showing a clearance. If I turn on that clearance a portion of the original part is not viewed. When I turn on hidden lines I now see every hidden detail of that part (I didn't turn on hidden lines for the entire drawing). I then have to eliminate all the lines I don't want which is both tedious and cumbersome. Is there a way to turn on just the lines hidden by a particular object but not all the hidden lines of the part.

then we found a site and the fix worked after reboot, for all of 5 minutes and the it went back. He is using XP based pc with MAX7.
Im creating plans for a new entryway and so that I have some perspective on how it will all join together i'm also creating a 3d model of my entry idea. In order to move things around to get a better view of how im planning on building this entry, I joined studs together so that I can move things around in the viewport without having to select each object. I know I can grab all the objects at the same time to move but I was wondering IF there is a way to union objects so that they dont lose the lines between joining objects. For example if 2 - 2x8 studs are next to each other and I were to union them, then they would plot as a 4 x 8 instead of 2 - 2 x 8's OR is there a way to maintain lines after union?

This was the initial situation or problem, two control points lying on eachother, instead of dragging the edge and removing the extra polyline, is there a way to collapse or weld the overlapping elements?

I produced some objects in Inventor 2013 and exported to DWG to be assembled in AutoCAD 2013. All is fine except when i look at the objects in a 'hidden' view these weird diagonal lines appear over the objects. I am unable to clcik these but when i zoom in they gradually disappear but. If I try to plot the object as shown these lines are printed. This also happens when saving to pdf.

we are using AutoCad 2011 and 2008.When any draw is open everything seems to be just fine, but when we print it out then it came out with lines around the objects(green, grey...)
We have tried 4 different printers with all drivers that we could found on internet, with no success. On the ploter we aren't having any problems and the lines are gone.Also the AutoCad 2006 is without the problems, but we want to move on to the version 11
Is there any setting which we should change?
I am using autocad 2010 and this morning the cursor stopped highlighting the lines and 3d objects, tried everything but no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf the 2D layout is updated I need to move featurelines and gradings to the new locations without changing their Z values. It seems OSNAPZ is supposed to serve this purpose but it's not working for me. I have OSNAPZ=1 and ELEV=0 but when I snap a featureline vertex to the 2D linework the vertex ends up at elevation zero. How do I make this work?

When I use the built-in dwg to PDF for publishing multiable layout tabs I somtimes get extra and/or missing lines and objects on the PDF. When in model space no extra lines a present or missing. Everything is where it need to be. Same goes when a review the drawing in layout before I publish to PDF.
When I publish to paper its fine, no problems.
I am looking for a way to use objects created from lines and arcs as text because of a machine that will not read text. The objects look like letters and numbers. I am wondering if there is a way to create a text style, library or whatever with the created "text". There can be hundreds of characters on a single drawing so importing and aligning and placing each object 1 at a time is very slow and painstaking.
