Looking for a nice script that can search a complex design with lots of linework and find all coinciding duplicates and select them all and delete them but leave (1) good copy.
Basically when I use Outline Pathfinder in Adobe Illustrator, then bring back into corel, sometimes get a lot of redundant objects. I already set the settings in Adobe Illustrator to minimize that as much as possible.
I have a series of points that I calculated (x-y data pairs, they're conic sections from calculus if that matters), and I want to import those points and then sometimes fit either a) a line or b) a curved rectangle (like, a really wide line) that follows these data points.

They also have lines that need to be changed to hairline from .25pt. It's frustrating how difficult this is to accomplish due to the sloppy interface that CD has had ever since I've been using it - since v12.
How hard would it be to allow you to change the palette, line width and colors on lines and outlines in one step? Right now it's multiple steps and don't forget once to change the target color palette or you'll convert everything back to cmyk...
I have this text on a notepad and I want to make the same design in Corel Draw X6.
I have a few question. Which is the font used there? I tried looking through all the fonts in Corel and noone was the same. Sites like Whatthefont won't answer me correctly because the letters have white line inside.
My second question is this: I need to make the same design, so the white line should be in the letters. How to make that? Is this a font property or do I need to make it by hand? If it isn't a font property, how can I make it?
How i can weld objects to just add points wherever two line cross each other?

Whenever I use the Trace option to convert, the result is an image filled with closed objects. Because I use vector images with a laser machine, and because the laser cuts everything it reads, the "double" lines (shared lines of the objects) get cut as many times as they appear. So I have to go in and break apart and delete segments & this goes on for days. I've tried welding, but welding makes one of the objects disappear completely. I've tried changing from cdr to svg, exporting & importing, hoping it would simplify, but that doesn't work either. Is there a way to have the bitmap converted to simple lines instead of overlapping objects?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is the second time I've had crashes in X6 64 bit, the first time was importing a very large "XLS" file, and then today while converting a selected group to curves it crashed. I restarted Draw opened the file that I had saved but not converted the part of the drawing I wanted to cut to curves, as soon as I tried to convert to curves it crashed again. Restarted the computer with the same results. I got the job to the cutter so it is not holding me up, but I did want to let the powers that be know about the crash. And I have been converting at least some of each drawing I do to curves with no problems, nothing had changed in the computer so it makes me wonder what's going on. The computer is a i5, 8 gb ram, 2 gb video card, Windows 7 Ult.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf this is possible to have a transparency brush in doing fades on curves. the brush would enable to lighten spot colors when brushed over the curve or curves. you could make a whole graphic fade out around the edges just by brushing over the edges.
You could have the capabilities to adjust the amount of the fade on a tool bar. maybe this is out there, but it would save a lot of time when doing graphics for t shirts and you want to fade the edges of the image on the shirt. you rip program would define the half tones by the transparency fade.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to take a word, and edit each letter individually. This includes changing shape, color, and slanting and twisting a letter. I want the "i" to be one color, and the dot over the "i" to be another color.
In my old drawing program, I converted the text to curves, then ungrouped the set of letters. I can't seem to be able to do this in Corel. Once converted to curves, when I select the text, the option to ungroup is greyed out.

When I select text I can't apply any changes to it until I convert to curves. I have tried selecting using the select tool and text tool - neither makes a difference until I convert to curves the everything is available
View 1 Replies View RelatedI often produce graphics in CorelDRAW, export it as en eps file and insert it inside a MS Word document as an image and finally convert it to pdf. This way my vector graphics (often linedrawings with or without fill) usually is preserved in the final pdf document. I can zoom in and the lines keep on displaying perfectly sharp. This is important, since it easily looks bad when thin lines are turned into bitmaps, even when watched from a distance.
Now, in some graphics I created today, I had a circle with fountain fill and outline (symbolizing a sphere) put behind a filled rectangle, which had a uniform transparency applied to it. In the resulting pdf file, the 'sphere' was turned into bitmap. Inside CorelDRAW everything was vector graphics, but something was loast in the process. what happens with the graphics in the different steps in the process and eventually could explain a workaround to make everything look as vector in the final pdf file.
We are having a big problem with dropping lines of text or parts of graphics. It is happening on 3 different laser systems and 2 different printers.

I did not create the document, so what sort of lens it is and what settings the lens has. I suspect it is a transparency lens.
I cannot find any way to locate the settings for this lens - so that I can reproduce and modify the lens settings. Where i can find the settings for the lens?
Is there a good (better?) way to find a local printer? I am just starting a desktop publishing business, part time, out of my home and I would like to find a good local printer in the Calgary, Alberta area. Do I just go thru the yellow pages and try my luck?
